I think I’m going to ovulate today - positive OPK last night. I’ve got an ultrasound later so wonder if they’ll be able to say if I’ve ovulated yet (would love to know how long it is for me as I know it varies!).

telling myself these are the things I can do that are within my control:

  • Daily walk (not far, just a leg stretch and movement)
  • Get into bed at a decent time so I get enough sleep
  • 3 meals a day and mostly healthyish
  • Avoid rushing about
Not much else I can do, can only control the controlables! My work varies quite a lot so I’ve tried to plan a couple of weeks without loads of travel or too many meetings so it isn’t too hectic, but also enough that I’m not just thinking about the TWW constantly 🙈

@am44athat sounds heartbreaking, if you can hold out dont test early (easier said than done) but i found premom to be quite accurate when getting bfps, but i always caught first cycle- and unless its a strong line i wouldnt trust anything faint. Frer expensive but good and the most sensitive out of all tests!

@Muddysocks1i had an ultrasound last year to rule out pcos, and she said i look ready to ovulate very soon as the follicle was enlarged so i think they can tell if your about to

i feel better already did a new hairstyle DH + colleagues at work boosted my confidence today not knowing how much i needed to feel good so im counting the blessings in my life atm!

@Muddysocks1sounds a great plan! Good luck

Cd11 and about 4 days out from OV. I'm going to start aspirin at 3dpo this cycle and see if it helps anything. Besides that it's all the usual be healthy-ish with foods, move a bit, stress as little as possible. Just got to try nail all the right days in the fertile window and we will have done what we can.

FlyHighSky72 · 27/05/2025 10:53

Sounds good @Esssais 3 dpo the recommended start time for baby aspirin?

Esssa · 27/05/2025 10:58

There's a lady online that recommends it. I think it comes from IVF practices but I could be wrong. I'd been taking it from bfp but if that little bit earlier helps I'll give it a go

Haha the gremlins got you @FlyHighSky72. They nearly got me earlier when I was trying to post that link but I started again and it worked properly. Fingers crossed it works out for us!

Whoops @Esssa

I’ve taken 75mg aspirin all the way through cycle but not sure if that’s right! I have a thin lining though so hoping it’s helping build my lining hence having it before ovulation.

ah thanks @peanutForever, that’s good!
I need to be confident to ask questions as the last ultrasound I had, she didn’t say anything at all, just sent a report to gp, but that was nhs at the hospital and this is private so I’m hoping she might share a bit more.
on that note - I didn’t realise you can get fertility scans at places like Window To The Womb, think it’s less than £100 - I would have done that ages ago if I’d known!

Esssa · 27/05/2025 13:34

@Muddysocks1 I think it's more that aspirin is a blood thinner so could make your flow more flowy than necessary. Just stop it for the days of your period.

peanutForever · 27/05/2025 13:37

Yes the aspirin just preps you to have a nice comfy place for the egg to implant (if fertilised)

peanutForever · 27/05/2025 13:39

My breasts are aching like crazy today, i hate symptom spotting lol

ForGiddyDreamer · 27/05/2025 15:32

So I am cd 9 here and (sorry for tmi!) this morning I noticed I was very wet with lots of ewcm! My app was predicting ovulation to be 3 June (cd 16). Used an advanced CB when I got home from work and got a flashing smiley so it will be next few days. I imagine cd 12-13. Much sooner than the app was predicting! Have told my partner to start limbering up! We bd yesterday so hopefully that counts too.

Now having a worry that this seems too short. The cycle I miscarried I ovulated on cd 11. And I read that before cd 11 is considered short. Other months where I am sure of the dates, I ovulated between cd 13-15. Hoping I get a few more days of flashing smileys to lengthen this out.

Ec2808 · 27/05/2025 15:42

@ForGiddyDreamer in a similar situation also! get BDing 😍
I am CD10 App predicts I will ovulate either 1st or 2nd of June, but since yesterday ewcm, this morning EWCM then this afternoon watery CM but like very wet! have not gotten home from work yet to test LH but I have a feelin Ovulation will be earlier than my app preidcted this month also bd'd yesterday so hopefully my intuition is right! also had a burning stinging sensation in right hip area this afternoon and thought hmmmm ovulation pain? will keep you all updated on my LH this evening fingers crosseeeeed

ForGiddyDreamer · 27/05/2025 15:45

@Ec2808 this is why I just don't trust the app! I also have a pain like ov pain in my left side. Let us know how your lh test goes. My partner is away this evening but we're both wfh the rest of the week so from tomorrow on we'll be stuck in the bedroom 😂

MummyV2021 · 27/05/2025 16:49

8DPO for me today and even though I said I would be strong and wait to test until after AF is due to protect my heart from another potential chemical, I'm already having to resist the urge to test!! Especially as I've been having cramps/twinges on and off the last 2 days and last night I was peeing SO MUCH! Which has been an early indicator in all my pregnancies (successful and not). I have my cheapies at the ready and have some FRERs on the way, but holding off doing anything for at least a few more days! AF due Monday, let's see if I can wait til then! I'm determined to not spend anywhere near as much on tests in the future. I'm sticking to cheapies until I'm sure, then confirming with FRER/ CB Digital. I'm also not going to continue testing once I get a positive, as that gave me false reassurance with my MMC last time and it completely broke me (I kept testing til I got a 3+ on a digital but also still did cheapies to see the line getting stronger)
