Anyone else in the early stages of their TTC journey for baby #1?

Hi everyone,

We’re early into our TTC journey and are currently on cycle number 2 for our first baby. I’ve also never been pregnant before.

I’m currently on day 14 of my cycle but my cycles are around 25-27 days on average, so my Flo app predicted I’d ovulate on day 12 based off symptoms of ovulation from previous months which have been quite consistent. We dtd on day 7,8,10 and 11 and haven’t been able to do it again since due to clashing work schedules, mega long days and then being exhausted in our free time as a result, so I have no idea if we’ve done enough this cycle.

Either way, it would be nice to chat to others in the same boat who are also only just starting their TTC journey! :) I told myself this cycle I wouldn’t count down the days or symptom spot like I did last cycle, but it’s hard not to already!

So despite sending that message I decided I couldn't wait as I feel really off today, can't explain it. Well I think I've got my BFP 🥹

I'm trying not to get hopes up too quick as have heard the cheapy tests sometimes have an indentation line in etc. So will use a CB one to double check. Only thing is my husband is away on a stag do until tomorrow evening so will be torture waiting until he gets back!

Ah congrats!!! From what I’ve read elsewhere indent lines are much thinner and fainter than that. That looks like some of the earlier tests I did!

I'm in disbelief to be honest, doesn't feel real after a few months of BFN. Did a CB digital test with weeks and it said 1-2 weeks pregnant so must be true! Maybe it was the sushi in the middle of the TWW hah.

Desperate to tell my husband but want to do it in person so will have to endure more waiting 🙈

Yes still planning to test tomorrow! AF still hasn’t arrived and despite being convinced last night I was going to start, I woke up again this morning with more controlled cramps and went about my day with no real feelings that my period was going to come on. Had slightly sore boobs today, a mega stuffy nose when I first woke up and backache too, and according to my CB app I’m now 2 days late and 1 day late by Flo’s prediction. So definitely going to test tomorrow morning if I don’t start my period before!

So after doubting it completely this month, I got my BFP this morning 🥰 I’m in shock to be honest, I really thought it wasn’t going to happen for me for a while!! I used a CB ultra early even though I was technically 3 days late, but that was all I had and the dark line came up instantly!
