Tips on how to not test before missed period

I tested early on my two pregnancies before and had two successful pregnancies then I had an early miscarriage and a chemical miscarriage last year and I was trying my hardest not to test early because of the heartbreak I experienced from the last two times. I’ve been trying this month and hoping I get a positive next month but I don’t know how I am going to stop myself from testing early, I worry so much after having the miscarriages anyone else finding it hard not to test so early x

I know times have changed but tests were really expensive when I had my dc, I didn't actually take a test! I waited until I was 6 weeks late and went to my gp! Patience is key but I also realised that there's nothing a dr can do so early even if you know helps and that every test is money you can spend on your future dc

6 agonisingly long days.
I thought I was doing so well but woke up today desperate to test

I caved today and tested at 11DPO. BFN so fairly certain I'm out and shall await AF on Sunday.

Even Mummy effing Pig is pregnant ffs why not me lol.

What cycle number was this month for you again?

Well hard to say as we've been off contraception for ages and we're "seeing how it goes" with no tracking or anything last year but i know we were doing it at around the right time at least 3-4 months. Had a little break in the autumn as we've got a commitment in the spring which would have been difficult if heavily pregnant/newly postpartum and then we got back on it properly in November and started with OPKs and BBT because given nothing had happened yet I wanted to make sure we were optimising. So overall like cycle 6 or 7 really but it's only in the last couple of months that I've become obsessed because it's not happened I think. No choice but to dial it down for next cycle as DH is away with work in America for most of my fertile window. Hoping he'll be back just before I ovulate so it's not totally wasted.

I actually don't even have to watch Peppa pig I have no children I've just heard it on the radio about 291920 times today like the world is laughing at me and my BNF lol.

No judgement here! I reckon if we all saved our money on pee sticks we know will come out negative we could probably afford a fancy science freezer....

I was back and forth because I didn’t want to get me hopes up but I will admit seeing some kind of line has given me some hope so fingers and toes crossed that this one sticks this time 🥹🤞I just had put my dog down of 14 years a few days ago so I really could do with a win x

Oh some of the best kind of dogs! 14 is old too! I'm sure you gave her the absolute best life.

I had to lift my German shep out of the car at 7 months preggo. It was a bloody sight to see as she wasn't on the small side as sheps go!

I had to do it okay?! The pee stick made me!
The fattest of all negatives which I was expecting. It will now tide me over for a few days, I knew it was too early (8dpo)
But also now mentally preparing for the possibility that it may be it for the next month too ( dd1 is a December baby and I can't imagine the disaster that might occur if I gave birth on or near her birthday - she's very particular but not diagnosed)
