Tips on how to not test before missed period

I tested early on my two pregnancies before and had two successful pregnancies then I had an early miscarriage and a chemical miscarriage last year and I was trying my hardest not to test early because of the heartbreak I experienced from the last two times. I’ve been trying this month and hoping I get a positive next month but I don’t know how I am going to stop myself from testing early, I worry so much after having the miscarriages anyone else finding it hard not to test so early x

I did show my husband the two tests I took prior so he has a fair idea ye 😂😂I was due my period today and couldn’t help myself ans test again 🙃

Guys I’ve taken two tests at 7dpo and they were obviously negative and now I’m depressed😂

I was testing a clearly going to be negative, why am I bothering at 8dpo! And if I wasn't staring so intently I would have thought the same on 9dpo!

That is true @LucyLou0527 you still have plenty of time left 7dpo is still early so try give it a couple of days☺️ @LaTable your so right why do we do this to ourselves?hope your doing alright @LucyLou0527

I told DH last weekend - sitting on it for the first two or three days was tough. I was slightly worried because I wasn't sure if he'd realised I was still trying, but he was absolutely blase about it! Although I think he's trying to manage both our expectations, and doesn't really believe it's real yet! He's already talking about taking SPL though!

@LucyLou0527 No problem we’ve all been through similar experiences so we no what it’s like to feel a little down when we don’t see a a good positive on a test the wait is horrible I know x

Shared Parental Leave - I.e. me sharing some of my mat leave entitlement with him. I think he's always regretted not taking a few more weeks with DD2, but he'd just started a new job just about when he was going to take his share, so ended up having to shorten it a bit.

Doing alright, hubby's birthday so a walk in the hills today with grumpy kids 😅. No sign of af 🤞, and test was a bit darker yesterday. Also told hubby yesterday and he at least said congratulations and asked how I was feeling hahaha I'll take it!
