Tips on how to not test before missed period

I tested early on my two pregnancies before and had two successful pregnancies then I had an early miscarriage and a chemical miscarriage last year and I was trying my hardest not to test early because of the heartbreak I experienced from the last two times. I’ve been trying this month and hoping I get a positive next month but I don’t know how I am going to stop myself from testing early, I worry so much after having the miscarriages anyone else finding it hard not to test so early x

It's very fresh but not a lot. I'm well versed in the it can go either way, but for my own sanity I'll probably be taking it easier for the next 6 weeks

@LaTable glad to hear the scan went well but sucks that the spotting took that reassurance away. Hope all is well today.

My AF arrived so I am officially out this month. Will keep soldering on. The early testing meant I had already sort of accepted it so glad I have started AF and can start the hopeful part of TTC again.

I blooming hate the TWW. I do think I learned my lesson this month and hope to make it to 11dpo next month before testing, just so I don't have the continuous hope/disappointment feeling. I think a result at 11 dpo is enough to mentally prepare me for possible AF arrival but also means I'm not days in limbo repeatedly testing until I know the result is accurate.

The tww is absolutely dreadful I 100% agree. Sometimes it's almost a relief getting af just because it's a certainty of some sort.

No spotting yesterday so that's something positive 🤞

I'm ok thank you ...I've started temping again to try and get a handle on what's happening in my cycle. Obviously, it's not telling me much yet, being 4 days into the BBT (and two of them taken after I'd stood up, so not technically BBT). But OPKs are being equally rubbish, being continually low readings (I'm CD18 today - how can these 18 days have gone so quickly when the 18 days or so I knew I was pregnant moved at a snails pace?!) but I'm starting to wonder if I potentially ovulated around CD11, as I got a 0.24 reading the previous day 🤷‍♀️. I guess I'll know in a week if so and it'll mean that AF is due in April Fools Day, which seems kinda appropriate...

Hello, this is my first post or anything on here, in the tww and really struggling, my partner works away a lot, after last month to stop myself testing I gave him the pregnancy tests to hide but feeling a bit of a failure as I bought some 10ml tests today, AF due on the 4th April, I just didn't know where to turn to speak to people about it as I had been talking to chatgpt but sometimes that just feels a bit sad!

Bloody sods law if it's April fools @curliegirlie. After everything you've been through too.
Do you know what though, if you did ovulated cd11 at least you can get that one step closer to a little bit more of a chance next cycle right?

Sun is out for the second day in a row and it's finally feeling like spring might actually happen this year after all!

@LaTable Doctors app went well except my nod pressure/pulse was slightly elevated. I have white coats syndrome so it’s nothing new to me 😅how are you today? The sun is absolutely out, finally some nice weather to look forward to x

Hahaha its funny because my blood pressure is always so low when I go to the doctors 😅😅
But I also only really go to the doctors when I'm pregnant soooo.....
Turned cold this afternoon. So I wrapped in a blanket and ate too any cookies dipped in fresh cream. Feeling a little nauseous now for entirely different reasons than the little smartie growing inside of me!

AF was very spotty and barely anything there until today, which is unusual as its normally just straight to business! Now not sure when to count it from 🤔 how are you?

Hey @LaTable I hope you are okay! How far along are you now? I’ve had 3 injections so far and they were all fine (I’m petrified of needles lol) I have my next 3 booked in for next week and then I’ll be done. I’m currently 1dpo today, only managed to dtd twice on peak day🥲 hubby couldn’t manage any of the other days x

One day is all you need!
I we only dtd once the day after peak, and at the very start of fertile window which ended up being longer than anticipated so was pointless for ttc anyway.
So here is to hoping for an Xmas baby!
Currently now 7 and a half weeks!

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I'd probably count the first full day of bleeding as day 1. But if you opk anyway it qont make too much difference?

I've got my first midwife app on Monday. Hoping she can speak some English otherwise its going to be a very limited conversation 😆 thank goodness I kind of know what's to be expected from having the two kids already! And then a long 5 weeks until my next scan. Just staying positive and hoping all is growing as it should be!

The first trimester is just so hard when you can't feel or see anything

Only 5dpo today but I’ve ordered some easy at homes which should come tomorrow. God knows how long I’ll hold out.. I’ll probably do one when they get delivered 🤣

Nothing exciting over this way...
Another episode of spotting after doing a 5km run but nothing since, so I'm going to have to stop that for a while too 😭 haven't lifted weights in too long also and walking just doesn't cut it for me. Miraculously not loosing my cool with the 8 and 6yo though so hopefully I can hold out longer 😅😅

I'm feeling useless at the moment tbh, feel like I can't concentrate at work, am being inadequate in my daughter's school's PTA, being a shouty mum and a rubbish wife. I went to a conference at work yesterday at learnt my manager's line manager's wife is expecting again and due this September. Their first was born last Jan, which probably means they've managed to do all the TTC and got pregnant twice all in the same space of time that I've been failing with DC3.

My second post MC cycle was really weird. Ovulated on CD 7 or 8, then AF rocked up on CD18!! Now on CD7 again and my OPKs are reassuringly blank.
