@Marie1990xI’m doing good! Still in here, baby still staying put and thankfully no signs of escaping yet thank god! I am very fed up tho and really missing my family, iv only seen my son twice and il be here 4 weeks on Friday 🥺 really looking forward to my own bed and shower and not listening to other people in loudspeaker or watching their phones on the highest volume possible 😂🙈

17 weeks! 😩 I was hoping I’d feel better by now!

when did you first feel kicks?

@Danikiyou are doing soo well! You’ve been there a month already. It must be really tough.
it will all be worth it once the baby arrives safely. Are you not allowed to see your son more? Did you say soon they will let you leave for a bit soon? Or will you have to stay inside until the baby is born? Will they deliver early?

@Daniki phew I was getting concerned 😅. I can only imagine, must be so hard not being able to see him as often as usual.
have they discussed any next steps?

I was about 18 weeks when I knew it was kicks for sure. With my first it was dead on 20 weeks

@whatdoyouthink123456 they will deliver at 37 weeks if everything remains as it is and I don’t get an infection/baby gets distressed etc! And yes I have to stay here until baby comes 🥺 he could come more but we live 2 hours away from the hospital so it’s just not feasible really until the weekends!

@Marie1990xno steps discussed really they just check every day how I am and if any changes, I get my bloods and scans done weekly and they monitor with the Doppler every 4 hours and do a trace once a day! So baby is looked after well anyway 😂

@Daniki gosh, I’d imagine the not knowing is one of the hardest parts too! Obviously it’s great baby is behaving and staying inside though. Crackers.

I’m 24 weeks this week so at viability now which is nuts. Crazy to think it’s a real mini human; still feel like I’m about 12 weeks 😂

@Marie1990xi feel like your pregnancy is going so fast! 😂🙏 but so nice to reach that milestone isn’t it! Woke up feeling a bit dosed now this morning, great 🙈

@Marie1990xso turns out I have Covid 🥺🫩 so annoyed! Been put into a private room for isolation which is nice but I hate been stuck in here alone 😂 getting a scan later thank god as baby quieter today and yest, altho the ctg has been fine. Haha I know it really does feel not that long ago!

@Marie1990xi thought i had replied 🤦🏼‍♀️ im not feeling too bad, was a bit rough Friday and Saturday but defo the other end of it now! I’m actually hating the private room as I’m so isolated 😂 I’m such a moan! It’s been lovely for sleeping tho I am actually getting decent sleep! Cant wait to be allowed to leave again such cabin fever 😂

@Daniki haha can’t win! Glad you’re not feeling too bad though. Did you say they’ll start letting you out and about occasionally? Can you do that?

@Marie1990xyea they let me out which is great, the hosp is located just of the main shopping street so I take a wander down every day! I haven’t done as much shopping/online shopping as I have at the minute 😂😂

@Daniki oh perfect! But not for your wallet 🤣🤣. Don’t blame you though, might as well treat yourself and baby when you’ve not got much else to do. Very strategically placed 😂

I’m good thanks ☺️. Finally feel like I’m at a stage where I have nothing pregnancy wise to complain about (famous last words). Can’t remember if I mentioned, they put me on tablets for my anaemia and feel much better for that now (minus the obvious side effects for iron 😂).

How are you getting on? Any change?

Hello ladies - found this thread and now see that many of you seem to be pregnant. Congratulations!

We started trying in March and i just got my period so we've been 6 months TTC. I'm 33 and he's 35 so though I'm not really worried yet, I don't want to waste any time in finding out whether there's something wrong with either of us. We are both healthy and good BMI with no health issues. I've been tracking and having sex 2-4 times within the right time period every month.

Has anyone tried one of the fertility tests out there to test both sperm quality etc and also female fertility etc? I've seen Hertility mentioned a lot but £250 is a lot of money and it's galling that it seems to have been £150 until recently... also Medichecks is mentioned but no idea how good it is. Any thoughts and ideas of not too expensive ways to take steps to checking for fertility issues would be much appreciated.

Don't want to waste money but would feel gutted to discover an issue 1 year after trying when I don't want to waste any time.

@Marie1990xbaby is taking everything from ya! 😂 in the same had to go on a supplement, got an infusion on Friday but feel the same 😂 but baby measuring big and prob taking everything from me! Jesus the heat atm is insane I am a shell of a woman dealing with it 🥵😂

@LibbyOTVhey! Can’t speak to those tests as never used them but I’d defo recommend getting some testing done just to know where you stand fertility wise, nothing more frustrating than trying for a test and then finding out about a possible issue! I got all my bloods done through GP and other tests done privately, I’m in Ireland so can’t speak to the NHS I’m afraid on what would be covered! 6 months isn’t too bad in the scheme of things j think they say usually 6 months to a year when trying over the age of 30? But defo worthwhile checking in with a doc and seeing is there anything you can be checking at the minute like thyroid etc!

@Daniki one thing after another for you isn’t it 😂. This baby is measuring but too, 95th centile I think it was 🫣. My daughter was always bang on 50th so don’t know what’s going in 😅.

@LibbyOTV I did the hertility tests. It was good as it confirmed my PCOS, but still needed to go through GP’s to get an official diagnosis so in a way a bit pointless maybe? Although getting GP’s to check fertility is a postcode lottery, I was very lucky (but I’d been TTC for over 2 years). But if you want a quick check to see what your body is doing, I would recommend then at least you’d have an idea

@LibbyOTVi tried a bit of everything but in the end we had to go through IVF, we had secondary infertilty and I had 4 miscarriages so a lot of trial and error with meds as it was immune issues for me! 🫣

@LibbyOTV we were ttc for soooo long but I definitely think diet and supplements helped. I started the keto diet (predominately for myself not necessarily for ttc but knew it was meant to help with PCOS) along with supplements. I took coq-10, vitamin D, folic acid and baby aspirin. Also took iron and b12 as my GP tests came back as anaemia. Started all this in January and was pregnant by March.

@Daniki yeah having a planned section this time. Started to get really nervous about it now though!

Still here 😂 only 5 weeks to go 🥲 I got a section date for the 1st of oct il be bang on 37 weeks, obviously anything could happen in the mean time but I asked them to give me a date so I had something to count down to! Had some spotting last night and this morning but they don’t seem too concerned, they’re going to take me for a scan at some stage and all my monitoring seems fine! How are you!? Xx

@Daniki aghhhh amazing amazing news!!!! At least there’s a date in place so light at the end of the tunnel 🥰. Bet it feels like such a relief having a date in place for sure. Glad everything is going well, and that’s good they’re not concerned about the spotting.

I’m doing good thanks. Bump is definitely feeling heavy now so definitely feeling it, but all good 😊. Third trimester next week which is CRAZY x

@Marie1990xgod third soon, isn’t it crazy! It’s went so quick 🫣 yea it’s great to have it in sight the countdown is a lot easier at this stage 😂 im just so glad im not due in like January or something and would be stuck here over Christmas 😂😂 xx
