A bit disappointed with the GP today as I had asked about starting some investigations and have been told to wait a further 6 months even though we have been trying for the last 12 months

Oh no way that’s ridiculous! So sorry they’re not being more helpful in this. I always thought it was the year mark they’d start investigations no matter what circumstances?
I’ve said it a few times but I really do think it’s pot luck who your GP is, so unfair!

Would you consider private investigations? X

@whatdoyouthink123456 god be going into year 3 now! Our first was conceived no issue but plenty of issues since 🤣 we actually started IVF last year this was our second transfer 🤗

Oh sorry, I didn't realise this was IVF. How exciting, and sounds really positive 🤞🏻

How have you found the whole process? I did ivf years ago with an ex partner and it was awful and basically ended our marriage. It's put me off trying again.

But I don't know if it would be different with my new partner. We conceived our son naturally very easily and I was hoping number 2 would be the same, but over 2 years later, We'v only had 1 ectopic 😩

@whatdoyouthink123456 oh no! How traumatic too. Ectopics really scare me! I think if you have a Supportive partner it makes all the difference, I haven't found it too bad thankfully but we were lucky in the sense we got 6 (now 4) embryos on ice, and both transfer have took unfortunatley lost the first at 8 weeks in October so hoping this one works out. 🙈 I am armed to teeth with meds this time around!

I’m either 4 or 5po, depending if I go off my first or second peak. They were both quite strong so I’m not sure which to go by. Think the second day was stronger so probably more like 4.

@whatdoyouthink123456 nope not yet. I can’t be trusted after I reach 7dpo though, although I know it’s near impossible I’ll start testing then 😂

Still feeling quite relaxed and hoping for a miracle. It will be short lived as this time next week I’ll probably be fuming and waiting for AF 😅.

@Daniki I’m fairly certain I ovulated this time as my boobs are really quite sensitive and getting niggly pains. Some months I don’t get them so don’t think I actually ovulate every time.

Just looked back at them and I the second is quite a lot darker. Although my first peak was evening and second stronger the next morning, so would probably be a really awkward time in the middle of the night 😅. We covered for both so let’s see!

@Daniki hahaha Tuesday at the latest 😂. I’m shocking with it. Don’t know why I bother as I’m sure it wasn’t until 12dpo that I got a BFP with my daughter

@Marie1990x I was the same with my son actually! It's just an addiction 🤣 after buying a heap of them in boots there so I'm test tonight 🤣

@Daniki that's really positive. I'm sorry about last year, that's really tough. I really hope this time is for you. It's looks great already if you are getting faint positives ✨

I did 2 fresh rounds and never got past day 3 transfers which didn't stick, with nothing to freeze either time. The whole thing was just disappointing.

I wonder if it would go the same again 🤔

I'm only CD8 and I normally don't ovulate until around CD15-20! Errghh it's soo annoying that all it takes is one amazing month to change your life. So close, yet soo far 🫠

@whatdoyouthink123456 aww thank you ♥️. Trust me I’ll turn psychotic in a few days with all the testing 😂. One min I feel positive and then the next think if it hasn’t happened in this long, why would this month be any different. If I ever got a BFP again I think I’d pass out in disbelief.

Do you think you’d do ivf again? I’m really considering it but at the same time so scared it wouldn’t work out and don’t know if I could take it.

@whatdoyouthink123456 oh that's tough both on your body and mentally! You never know protocols change, a diff doctor, a new partner you never know! I took NMN supplements for 3 months prior to boost my egg quality and it brought up my AMH. I really think it helped and that's why we got so many good grade embryos, altho they're not tested so could all be duds 🙈 iv had 4 mcs so far so I'm really hoping at least one embryo sticks!

@Daniki eeek so happy for you! You deserve this so much after everything and hoping it’s a happy and healthy time ahead 🥰.

My boobs are in absolute bits tonight. It’s definitely too early for any symptom spotting pregnancy wise, but makes me hope more that I’ve actually ovulated. The last time I had them this bad was the time I typically got tested and showed I ovulated, very rarely get it.
I never had sore boobs with DD so won’t get carried away now 🤣
