@Daniki that’s pretty much exactly the difference for me today I think. I mentioned it to her and she just said everything is fine and didn’t seem concerned about the measurements. Even in the 2 photos I got, it’s curled up and short in one and stretched out in the other 😅.

The heart rate was 131bpm which fits into the gestation of 7 weeks, so that makes me feel a bit more reassured too. Hadn’t seen this before, another thing to worry about comparing 😂.

Will definitely book one for that week, it’s my birthday that week too so don’t want to spend it worrying (hopefully 😅)

@Marie1990xat my 7 week one they said they look for anything over 110 and happier when it’s over 120 so yours is good! Oh yea do because not nice to spend your bday worrying ❤️what would we do without scans 🤣🙌🏻

Marie1990x · 13/04/2025 17:40

@Daniki oh amazing! See this one just didn’t tell me anything like that and she knew I was anxious. Won’t be going back there again.

Yep 100%, my husband will be working anyway so I’ll just go with my mum and forget to mention it until after 😂

Daniki · 13/04/2025 17:43

@Marie1990xhaha perfect! Yea that’s it some of them just don’t get it 🙈 try and put the worry away and relax thinking about the strong heartbeat and all in the right place 👌🙏

Marie1990x · 13/04/2025 18:14

@Daniki yeahhh everyone I’ve spoken to thinks I’m being daft so trying to forget it and focus on the fact it’s got a heartbeat. My daughter came with us today too and now she keeps stroking my belly saying there’s a baby 🥹

@Marie1990x @Daniki Thank you for this thread. I just joined Mumsnet and reading your conversation helped a lot.
I’m trying for a baby and just now looking at my test is driving me crazy. I think I’m having my third chemical pregnancy. The digital one that measures from >25 was „pregnant” yesterday but not any more today. Just the one measuring over >10 still says “pregnant”. It so hard to have the hopes dashed. If this one fails as well, it will be 3 chemical pregnancies in 6 months.

@Marie1990xah how cute! 🥰🥰 I told my son there was a baby in my belly he asked could I open it and take it out 🤣

@AgnesTTChow many dpo are you? Could depend on the concentration of urine or anything! Hopefully it’s not a chemical, so unfair 😟 have you other pink dye tests to try? I found them great, the 5 days earlier ones!

Marie1990x · 13/04/2025 18:47

@AgnesTTC was going to say too, were they both FML? Definitely second the pink dye ones too to check the progression. It’s such a shit time ttc sometimes! Hopefully it’s just a blip of a second test 🤞🏻🤞🏻.

@Daniki hahaha bless him! One day soon, just not yet 😅

OP posts:
AgnesTTC · 13/04/2025 18:52

@DanikiI’m 17 dpo. I also have PCOS, and it makes everything precarious. I’m taking so many test these past few days just trying to reassure myself.

AgnesTTC · 13/04/2025 18:55

This is over the last four days. Have you Guys done this or am I crazy?

AgnesTTC · 13/04/2025 18:59

@Marie1990x@Daniki I will get the pink ones. I fear my testing obsession will go on..

Also your kids reactions to pregnant bellies are adorable! 🥰

Daniki · 13/04/2025 19:47

@AgnesTTCoh god yea I have been a physco testing! Don’t like the blue dye ones they’re so unreliable, but pink dye are great for progession! 🙏

Marie1990x · 13/04/2025 22:28

@AgnesTTC oh absolutely! It’s an obsession. The amount of money I’ve spent on tests is shocking. But definitely prefer the pink dye. I’d definitely take some pink dye ways consecutively and see if there’s some progression 🤞🏻 x

AgnesTTC · 13/04/2025 22:32

@Daniki@Marie1990x thank you, Ladies! I thought I’m just going insane, I’ll get the pink from boots tomorrow.

Marie1990x · 14/04/2025 10:59

@AgnesTTC did you do any more today? 🤞🏻

AgnesTTC · 14/04/2025 11:10

@Marie1990x
Another one gone. I just got through to the fertility unit. Blood test came back as level 20, yes for pregnancy but it will miscarry in the next few days. It’s just too low for 17dpo. I’m thinking IVF, I’ve heard great things about CRP clinic and Dr Shehata. I think I’ll try, it will just cost so much money…

Daniki · 14/04/2025 11:14

@AgnesTTCah I’m sorry that’s so tough 😭 iv read numerous threads on here about Dr Shehata and all possible. If there’s maybe an immune issue or something it will have to be treated. I’m in Ireland so my experience is different but I have immune issues myself and I’m on a whole load of meds for this pregnancy and working so far 🙏 xx

CoolSummer89 · 14/04/2025 13:27

Hi ladies, it's been ages since I posted on these threads but I had such a wobble on Friday. I feel much better now but still wanted to reach out to some familiar names on here.
I read the entire thread and so delighted to see that both of you guys @Daniki and @Marie1990x are currently pregnant!
I have been TTC number 1 since Jan 2024 and haven't had a single positive pregnancy test in that time. A couple of months ago it really began to cause a rift in my relationship as my husband and I were kinda blaming each other. He was not eating well and binge drinking most weekends, and I was imploring him with all these studies on how alcohol and processed food are really bad. He thought that I was stressing out too much. For what it's worth I thought I was doing quite a good job at self-soothing, but TTC is just stressful. It's all the uncertainty and the waiting, especially when it's over a year and no two lines. Cycles are regular and all tests have come back within normal parameters for both of us. I've just turned 36.
Last month I found out my best friend is pregnant and the flood gates have opened. I am delighted for her, she didn't think she could get pregnant until I shared the tips with her that I learned from this forum. But at the same time of course it's very painful for me. I feel like I am back at square one, but now I feel a sense of pressure because I would love us to have babies of a similar age - that's the dream, right?
I am 5dpo and this TWW has been the hardest yet, I don't think I have ever found it this agonising and I have been doing this for 16 months!
We are now on the waiting list for IVF, been told to expect July-ish. @Daniki would you mind sharing the powder you were taking for egg quality? I am already on Proceive Max as of two months ago.

  • Husband for his part has agreed to give up drinking for 3 months (or until after IVF), after he saw how conflicted/distressed I was when I found out my friend's news.
  • We are doing 90% home-cooked meals now with lots of veggies/antioxidants
  • I am going to Reflexology twice a month to encourage a bit of relaxation.
  • I was doing some research into HyCoSy - the only test I haven't had - and saw that one study showed about 40% of women who had one after a year of trying got pregnant within a few months of having one. And the fertility clinic has said I can have one next month if not successful this month. I was excited when I saw you were booked for one @Marie1990x but then I saw you got pregnant the month before anyway!
Sorry for offloading, do feel a lot better than I did on Friday, but still good to get it all out from time to time.
CoolSummer89 · 14/04/2025 13:32

@AgnesTTC I am so sorry to see that you have had multiple chemicals. That must be so upsetting and I completely understand why you want to keep testing each month!

Have you watched Celebrity Save Our Sperm on Channel 4? Ollie Locke's surrogate kept having early miscarriages and a fertility doctor showed him that he had high levels of dna fragmentation, he did some lifestyle changes for 3 months and then his surrogate carried his and his husbands babies to full term:

I know it's not everything, but might be worth doing some lifestyle changes before reaching out to an expensive fertility doctor. Although I totally understand that it's good to have the reassurance from an expert.

Daniki · 14/04/2025 15:01

@CoolSummer89hey! Welcome back and sorry you have not had any progress, it’s the worst place to be 😟 yep, I was taking NMN sublingual powder, I got it from Youth & Earth website and they usually have a good 25% welcome discount on their site. Could be worthwhile your hubby taking it too as it does help with dna damage, just incase his sperm may not be as great as it could be. It’s just as important and I think men tend to overlook this as it’s all down to the woman 🙄 I hit the hurdle with my own! 🤣 nice you have had a start date, and they would want you to get a hycosy anyway I’m sure to have all avenues explored before starting. Hopefully if you do get one, the flush is all you need to be successful!

CoolSummer89 · 14/04/2025 15:46

Thank you for your kind words @Daniki it's been very encouraging to see your IVF success.
My fertility doctor said I didn't need a HyCoSy because fallopian tubes don't matter for IVF. However on Friday I emailed the reception team and asked if I could have one anyway as it might diagnose why natural conception isn't happening, and they said sure and to ring them on my first day of my period. Hope I'm not going against doctors orders! Ultimately it's cheaper for them (this is NHS funded) if I get pregnant naturally.

Daniki · 14/04/2025 15:50

@CoolSummer89yea you’re right to get it checked, imagine that was the issue and it could be fixed! Our clinic wanted all those tests done before we started, it’s best to know what they’re working with! I didn’t find the experience too overwhelming, i hope you’re the same! 🥰

AgnesTTC · 14/04/2025 18:16

@Daniki thank you. I hope they help. Just in case you guys where wondering. Initial conversation £370, tests £1600-£3000, and then the costs start… IVF £3950.
Not cheap.
@CoolSummer89 Thank you I will definitely watch both! I convinced my husband of the no drinking no junk food and supplements by telling him that placenta is formed mostly from his DNA, and he is responsible for our baby growing and developing correctly, beyond just my genes/his genes. He got on board really fast after I pointed out that for him it’s a few months, for me the trying + pregnancy + breastfeeding is 2 years of being good.
Also I’m glad you offloaded here. My best friend has endometriosis and couldn’t have a baby, I feel like it’s to cruel to try to talk to her, I don’t want to cause her pain.

AgnesTTC · 14/04/2025 18:19

@CoolSummer89I’m glad you’re on the IVF list, hope it goes really well! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you 🤞

Marie1990x · 14/04/2025 18:20

@CoolSummer89 so sorry you’re back here and haven’t caught on in this time. It’s so shit, I know the feeling and never thought it would happen after this long. But keep faith, it will happen! I’m not very informed on IVF, but I joined a live webinar (I think it was with care fertility) and it was really helpful.

I genuinely think the healthy lifestyle and more supplements helped me. I’d been doing the keto diet too (supposedly good for PCOS and regulation) that’s down the swanny now, but do believe it contributed. I’d never taken coq-10 before and after 2 cycles of taking it I got my BFP.
