@Daniki yeah it’s a tough decision isn’t it who to tell and when. With my daughter I told all my close friends, but this time I’m just going to tell my 2 best best friends, so similar to you. Only because it anything did happen then I’d probably want to talk to them about it too.

Haha it’s mad isn’t it. Completely understand with you though with your previous losses, got to keep protecting yourself. But not long at all now until you’re at the 12 week stage!

I really hope I can hold off telling my mum until Mother’s Day. I tell her EVERYTHING and speak multiple times a day so it’s going to be hard

@Marie1990xsame I didn’t tell my mam, is usually do but I didn’t want her texting me every week to see how I am getting on and to tell me she has lit a candle at mass 🤣 just easier to ignore everything! Yes hopefully not long to go! Just so afraid of getting excited and jinxing myself, iv got awful superstitious would love to get out of that mind frame 🤣

@Daniki oh bless her!! That’s so sweet though 😅. I do think mums worry more than us sometimes. Are you waiting until 12w to tell her then?

Nooo try and get them out of your mind! I believe in a few superstitions too but nothing too drastic. The one I’m concerned about at the moment is that we have the pram in the garage (we’ll just re-use our daughters), and believe in the whole superstition of not keeping the pram in the house until baby’s born. Might ship it off to my mums after I’ve told her 🤣🤣

@Marie1990xnever heard that one! But we also have our sons pram in the house 🤣 but we had it in the house before my son was born so I won’t believe that one! I just got my booking appointment in the post, it’s not until the 28th April when il be over 15 weeks 🙈 I’m hoping the miscarriage clinic will scan me again at 12 weeks so I can relax a bit and tell a few people! My husband wouldn’t like to tell anyone either until 12 weeks +!

@Daniki noooooo you’re kidding!!! That’s CRAZY! I thought your booking in appointment needed to be before 10 weeks to do the tests that can’t be done past then, then 12w scanned booked separately from there. That’s what happened with me previously anyway! Can you ring them and check??

@Marie1990x no idea, wonder is it different in Ireland? I vaguely remember mine with my son and defo was after 12 weeks anyway! But I was having bloods done on the regular as I was in hosp from 9-11 weeks!

@Daniki that just sounds soooo late! Hopefully you can get a scan around 12w anyway at the other clinic 🤞🏻

@Marie1990xyes I checked in a fb group I’m in and they said the miscarriage clinic does scan every week until booking appt 🙌🏻 also was told to ring in the morning they will prob bring it forward. Did you tell hubby!?!?

Yeahhh he knows 🥹. I wanted to do it nicely, however, I was busy with our daughter when he walked in and had left the tests on the side from this morning, he saw them before I had chance 😂😂. He’s chuffed to bits. Doesn’t understand my anxiety, typical bloke!

@Marie1990x haha aw cute what a surprise tho id say 🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻 nah men just don’t get it! My husband was like you can’t get scanned every week that’s insane, it’s a 4 hr round trip 🤣I was like j don’t care i will not be able to wait 5 weeks inbetween!

@Daniki yeah he was shocked to be fair. Just kept saying he can’t believe it’s finally happened. Told him to hold his horses 😅x he also asked what made me test, didn’t tell him due to imagining lines for the past week 🤣.

Oh absolutely get as many scans in as you can! If it settles your mind then 100% worth it.

I’m definitely booking an early scan but not sure when. Last time I went at 7 weeks, could just see a bean with a heartbeat, and then at 9 weeks which was much clearer. Maybe I’ll go in the middle at 8 😂 xx

Yea defo 8 if you can hold out that long it’s way bigger! Not much to see before that 🤣 haha well not mention the evaps which obviously were not evaps!! 🙌🏻

@Daniki absolutely, I was so shocked last time at how much she’d grown in just 2 weeks! I think I just need hard confirmation but will try hold out 😂. It’s frustrating though as by LMP I’m like 5 days ahead of what I actually am with my late ovulation. It was the same with my daughter and no one would really take that into account. I remember at my booking in appointment I told the nurse and she was so rude just shot it down like.

I went to bed so early last night I’m wide awake at 3:30am 😅😩 x

@Marie1990xi know it’s mad how they don’t take these things into account, even in the EPU and stuff when I was telling them it was IVF she didn’t know how to date it. But anyway round 12 weeks they should be able to date properly! 🤩 oh no hate that 🤣 I’m up from half 5.30 which is a sleep in at the min I keep waking around 2/3 and not able to get back to sleep!

@Daniki it’s so frustrating isn’t it! Do you have to contact the miscarriage clinic to book another scan in, or will they contact you?

Oh godddd that’s an early start 😂. I managed to fall back asleep eventually until my daughter came and woke me up at 7:30 🤣.

Should I be concerned that todays test doesn’t look any darker than yesterdays?? Going down a rabbit hole again 😅. Think I will hold off testing tomorrow and fingers crossed there’s progression on Sunday x

@Marie1990xi think they look great and if you look at the bottom test later on this evening I bet you it will be darker, those tests do come out a lot darker later on. Don’t forget all my worrying and it was fine 🤣 plus you want the tests to be darker than the 2 days before hand which it defo is! Lovely lines 🤩

@Daniki omg tell me about it! I was so scared yesterday when I took it, the line appeared straight away but wasn’t very strong so was in panic mode until it went dark.

I feel really nauseous today but I think it’s nerves more than pregnancy.

thats so frustrating you can’t get through, getting in touch with doctors and hospitals is an absolute nightmare!
My daughters got a doctors appointment this morning so I’m going to ask them what I need to do. I’m pretty sure last time they gave me the midwife’s number and I just rang her, then did my booking in appointment with the hospital online.

Ah thank you, you’ve eased my mind a bit! They’re definitely not getting lighter so obviously a good sign. I have my other digital that I’m going to do next week in the hope it moves into 2-3 x

@Marie1990x would you get your bloods done to check levels? try and leave the digital as long as possible to defo get over the threshold, i was terrified to do another one lol. i got through, they are fully booked until May 🙄so hopefully can still get a scan at 12 weeks and at least i can tell people then and it be nice to see baby again going on 15 weeks!

I asked and she gave me the name of an app I need to download and book midwife appt through there, but the app isn’t even showing up as downloadable so I’ve no idea

@Marie1990xthat is so annoying! Why is everything through an app anyway 🫣

@Daniki it doesn’t make sense. I couldn’t download it on my phone but it let me on my Mac, but it asks for a code. It’s called Badgernet, and I previously had badgernotes so was wondering if it was the same, tried that and it asks for a “code from your midwife”. I’ll have to ring the docs again at some point and ask for clarification. Nothings ever straight forward is it!

@Marie1990x no, how annoying! and what use is it on your mac you would want it handy on your phone! Ireland is trying to introduce a similar app here, but it be years before its any use id say! have you told any of your friends yet?!

@Daniki it’s just baffling. Might just do my hospital referral and wait for the gp one. Not sure if it’s difficult cos the hospital I’ll refer to isn’t the one associated with my area/GP. But it’s the same one I had my daughter in so god knows.

Nope havent told a sole yet; other than my husband. I’m itching to though. They all know we’ve been trying for so long. I will deffos tell my 2 best friends but probably wait until I’ve told my mum x
