@MyGardenDaisies Ah thought it was your second but I couldn’t remember! This is our second go after a quick and uneventful time the last time too so having a CP is not something we’ve encountered before.

Thankfully my bleeding from CP has now stopped so looks like we’re back to it. Will start OPKs tomorrow.

AmazeB · 26/12/2024 20:48

Hey, can I join? I'm new to TTC and MN both. I'm 31 and this will be our first cycle TTC. Currently on CD6.

OliveTraybake · 26/12/2024 20:54

CoolSummer89 · 26/12/2024 17:36

Sorry to hear that @OliveTraybake what was your partner's morphology score? I think my partner's was 4% which is a bit on the low side but still 'normal' so we didn't get any recommendations

It’s 3.3%. All other aspects of the SA normal and way above the WHO threshold.
there are changes he came make with his bmi, lifestyle etc so we’ll be focusing on that come the new year.

how are you?

We're away the whole TWW and I purposefully only packed 1 test so I couldn't be testing every day and distracting from Christmas. Obviously regretting that now!

MyGardenDaisies · 27/12/2024 09:49

@Thomsonetthompson haha its so addictive isn’t it - testing!

I am 4DPO and have one cheapie test left and been tempted to order more, but then I think of the hundreds of £ I’ve spent on tests in these past 4 months already! I’ve wasted so much money on early digital tests it’s ridiculous

Hope everyone had a good Xmas - can I join? Mine was a bit 😥we are TTC no1 (both early thirties) - started trying last month. I have fairly long cycles but we were amazed to get a + test.. sadly my lines never progressed and I started bleeding a few days before Xmas at my in laws... feeling a bit ridiculous to be so upset as was our first month trying but... hoping to ovulate mid Jan 💖

Really sorry to hear that - I had the exact same thing; positive test then started bleeding Christmas Eve. Not sure if it was false positive and late period or a chemical pregnancy.
It's not ridiculous at all to be upset - I am the same. Sometimes this happening makes you realise how much you want it.
I'm also on that timeline - trying to stay busy so that the month doesn't drag!

I'm sorry to hear you are in the same boat... did you manage to enjoy Xmas anyway? I wish I could say I did but it really spoilt things for me. I am fairly certain I was actually pregnant as had a few positives and symptoms. I think maybe I was a bit naive before and now just feels like a big shock and am suddenly obsessed!! It's dragging and it's only been two cycles.. how do you plan to stay sane lol

Marvelftw · 27/12/2024 12:07

Spoke too soon about not seeing pregnancy announcements. Saw someone post one today on insta and she’s showing a fair bit so must be quite far along. She only got married in June so I reckon must have fallen pregnant quite soon after that! Being in my mid
30s and going on to cycle 2, I do feel a bit anxious within myself when I see others conceiving so quickly even though I know the odds of that happening are rarer.

Sorry to hear that, we’re also cycle 1 but trying for number 2. Was shocked to get a positive on cycle 1 but it turned out to be a CP as well.

I only bled for about the same amount of time as a normal period, bit of spotting yesterday and nothing today so it’s all done.

I’ve done an OPK today so back on that wagon 🙈 I think I’m testing at a better time of day for me than when I tried it last cycle in the evening following premom guidance. I did second urine of the day and got a 0.08 straight out the bat, was at 0 for days last cycle! So feeling more confident about actually finding my peak. Will just see what happens though, would rather a BFN than another CP.

Seems like there's announcements everywhere at this time of year! I think one way to cope with it is to remember things are very rarely as easy as they seem - not that I would ever wish it on anyone but sometimes behind an announcement can be issues in the pregnancy, marriage struggles, money worries... my sister took a long time TTC and she said she found reminding herself of this helpful but appreciate it doesn't work for everyone x

Ah I am sorry to hear you also had a CP! How long did you try for no1? I try to remind myself a CP is a good sign for fertility, and if there was something wrong with the pregnancy I would rather early CP than a later loss... it still feel v frustrating though back to square one this month...

OPKs are so addictive!! I am going to try and not over test this month as I had very clear ovulation signs and also (in hindsight) v clear pregnancy signs very early doors ... easier said than done the POAS is addictive!!

Halpmer · 27/12/2024 13:07

Hi all, been away until our fertile window which I thought was starting yesterday as I usually ovulate on CD21... took a random LH on Xmas day (evening) (CD15) because I'm a POAS addict, any stick will do 😆, bloody raging peak!! So, I think I must have ovulated yesterday/today. Hopefully we caught it. Good job I randomly tested!

Sorry to hear of CPs, sending much love to you guys and to anyone struggling with announcements and things. It can be a really rough time of year.

Will see with BBT tomorrow, but I think I'm entering my TWW now! Will desperately try not to break the bank on pregnancy tests 🤭. Cycle 2 for us TTC #4.

Sort of but not really. It's been on my mind the whole time. I'm very lucky though in that I have a toddler - so I have lots to be thankful for, and he keeps me so busy it helps with distraction. I'm exactly the same - we've only really just started properly trying (though I came off the pill in June) and suddenly I'm obsessed! I think need to try and keep focusing on the present; that's why I'm reluctant to start tracking ovulation etc as think it will just make me feel worse if it doesn't happen. I think going to go by my rough 'window' again this month...

That’s exactly how we’re thinking of it, best to happen so early on rather than later. Sounds like you’re being positive.

I had a horrible first cycle after coming off the pill so we don’t count that as I didn’t even ovulate! But then got pregnant on second cycle of actually ovulating, I was 35 at the time so we were really pleased. That’s why we were so shocked to get a BFP on the first cycle this time so still feeling positive about the journey.

At least both know we can get pregnant, just needs to be a different time for us so hopefully that’s for far and we get our 2025 babies x

I’m only CD6 (I’m assuming - x3 small bleeds in 4wks since mirena removal), but I’ve had a real low left sided stitch type discomfort today. I’m really hoping it might be my cycle levelling out.
started with OPKs just in case I finally ovulate and it’s a bit early!

ThatSnugSwan · 27/12/2024 16:43

Cd10 here. Ttc baby no.3 this is the 4th cycle since a loss in August. Used opks last cycle and dtd every night during the fertile week but no luck so this cycle we are trying the SMEP plan. Never tried before but worth a shot

Hen2000 · 27/12/2024 16:44

Catching up from page 7! Keeping my fingers crossed for those waiting to test and those waiting for ovulation too!

Cd22 here. I was horribly poorly christmas eve eve and not much improvement until yesterday. Poorly children and house guests. Was thinking we had missed our chance this month as increased cm christmas eve and day but didn't do ovulation tests. Some cm this morning and did a test this afternoon and got a 1.1 on premom. My peak is normally 1.5 so thinking I either ovulated yesterday (managed to dtd) or will tomorrow but leaning towards yesterday based on body symptoms.

Last month was a 36 day cycle and I ovulated a couple of days earlier than last month. Premom currently predicting period jan 9th! (34 day cycle)

KittyFantastica · 27/12/2024 17:11

Hope you're all doing well.

Been very hard for us, trying to cope with the death of our baby boy in September at this time of year is just awful. We decided to try this month, but I haven't been testing as no signs. We DTD with week for solace in each other anyway, but my husband has to go away until the weekend and I did a digital OPK this morning as I saw some signs and a flashing smiley popped up.

We'd DTD anyway before he left to say goodbye, but it feels so typical. I'll probably peak while he's away and we'll have to hope two/three days is enough depending on when O actually happens.

MyGardenDaisies · 27/12/2024 17:30

Sorry to hear about all the CPs. ❤️

I just bought another early test - couldn’t resist as it was “staring” at me in Asda 😂

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your baby. This time of year is so hard when you're struggling. I really hope you ovulate soon and things feel brighter going in to 2025 💖
