Hoping to join you for the TTC journey in to January. We started trying this month but AF arrived yesterday. I'm TTC my second, son was born Oct 2023. Looking forward to next month and hoping for the best. Wishing everyone the best of luck x

MrsH26 · 24/12/2024 00:26

No ovulation for me this month.
instead my 3 bleed in 4wks since mirena removal… I’d quite like things to settle down already and get some kind of cycle so I know where I am

Oh no i’m sorry to hear 😕 although Doctors say you can get pregnant as soon as the mirena comes out, from what i’ve read it usually takes at least a cycle or two for most women to settle into a normal rhythm again.
For me I noticed a difference after a few months… my cycles became regular and my hormones were definitely in full swing 😅 I was getting PMS like a teenager again!
So hopefully it doesn’t take long for you either x

Thank you!
I’m getting on though (41) I’m being impatient & need it to settle asap so I’m not too late! 🙈

Hey all, popping over from the Dec thread. AF arrived just in time for Christmas. So rude, she was NOT invited x

Kateb149 · 24/12/2024 17:34

@MrsH26 I have everything crossed your cycle levels out in Jan 🤞

@lynzmb haha how rude of AF to show up without an invite 😅 but welcome to the group!

Merry Christmas everyone 🎄

Will be joining the Jan TTC crew. I had a positive test last week but started bleeding so think sadly a chemical pregnancy. Pretty gutted but going to start trying again in Jan. We are TTC #2 as have a boy who's nearly 2. I haven't been tracking ovulation etc - just relying on the rough 'window' every month but not sure whether to start being a bit more scientific!
We conceived #1 quickly as a happy accident so a bit new to all of this!

MyGardenDaisies · 24/12/2024 21:05

@Sunshine924 welcome! There’s quite a few of us that got baby nr 1 on first cycle and now are “on a journey” 😄

other than pregnancare and aspirin is there any other vitamins recommended?

Cinnamonbunn · 24/12/2024 21:33

@Midnight00 think we are on similar timelines, my first was born Aug 2023. This is my first cycle TTC #2 as I’ve only had two periods since so I feel my cycle is quite unpredictable. On cycle day 23 and no positive OPK. Sorry you didn’t get a BFP this cycle. Wishing you and everyone else lots of luck in Jan.

MyGardenDaisies · 24/12/2024 21:51

@Lavenderrose92 I don’t think aspirin is widely recommended unless prescribed by a doctor.

So funny how different it can be! I'm glad to have a toddler as I'm too busy/tired to obsess (too much!) about things and count down days!...

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 09:25

Merry Christmas everyone!!
I got a smile today on my clear blue OPK test… but my LH strip is 0.27.
Im CD19, usually peak between 16-18.

Which do I trust? I’ve read the clear blue with the pre mom app and it’s reading at 0.47.

Any advice welcome… I’ll keep cheapie testing throughout the day, try and see if it peaks.

Cinnamonbunn · 25/12/2024 09:40

Merry Christmas everyone!

@EEB1989 im afraid I can the of help as I’ve never used the digital but sending lots of luck your way that you get a peak on the LH strip too. Maybe the digital is more sensitive?

I’m thinking I may finally have a positive LH strip?

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 10:21

@Cinnamonbunn
thank you, I’ve no idea if they are, it’s my first month using them. I usually use the cheapies.

Yours certainly looks positive, do you use the pre mom app? That’s how I log mine.

Cinnamonbunn · 25/12/2024 11:25

@EEB1989 ah, it’s so confusing when you introduce something new. I’d probably be DTD for the digital and then again for the cheapie too when you get a positive there.

No I don’t but I’ve heard people mentioning it, would you recommend?

I don't use these but are they the type that measure oestrogen as well as LH? They tend to show positive results earlier than cheaper OPKs because they measure both.

EEB1989 · 25/12/2024 12:35

@Cinnamonbunn
Yeah I’d recommend using the app, even if it’s just somewhere to keep a log of your tests.
Ive done another cheapie today and it’s 0.97 which I think is my peak, I don’t usually get much higher. So we will DTD to try and catch the egg this month 🤞. Probably a bit TMI but we’re all here for the same thing 😅.

@CoolSummer89
I don’t think they check for oestrogen, they only mention LH. They’re the pink ones that tell you your most 2 fertile days. I didn’t buy them, my friend who has been successful (twice) gave me them as she’s got all the babies she wants.

Let’s hope they work for me this month 🙏.

Matildahoney · 25/12/2024 18:07

@EEB1989 when we saw a fertility consultant, she told us not to use the digital ones, just to use the strips as they're much more reliable!

MyGardenDaisies · 25/12/2024 18:15

Merry Christmas!

Anyone else facing pregnancy announcements from acquaintances on Insta? 😄 the envy!!!

Hi everyone merry Christmas 🎄

Ive got the dredded bug that’s going around, I haven’t done a test today but mine are not going very high so I don’t know if I should just give up 😢

I'm the last of my friends to have children (42) but my nephew has announced his girlfriends pregnancy, and my sister in law and her sister are both pregnant, so Feb, May and July babies!
