Been quiet on here as it all got a bit too much. AF arrived on Saturday, a day earlier than expected, and the first time I’ve ever (in memory) had a “typical” 28 day cycle.

I may see some of you over in the January ttc thread, but I haven’t decided whether to or not yet, as I had said if nothing had happened by Christmas I’d give up ttc

@SarahB88 and in which cycle day did you have your peak?

It was between CD12-14, I’m now CD 26.

Someone else has posted their hcg strip test on here though and I’d say that my test looks like theirs. I thought it was negative so binned it but others on this thread are saying they can see a line so I’m confused. I’m going to keep testing each day until my period arrives or I get a positive. Just read on another thread someone else didn’t get a BFP until 5 days after AF was due.

@SarahB88 ahh ok, yes, i guess your period should be due then.. but as you said, just keep testing and let's hope that you get your BFP soon.. crossing everything for you ♥️

@pcbrb it’s only our first cycle trying so I won’t be upset if AF arrives, it’s just so strange for my body to be doing this so would like to understand what’s up. If my cycles gone out of whack length wise that makes it a bit tricky TTC but will keep on the OPKs.

@SarahB88 then I would recommend to track the ovulation so you can determine the length of your LP and like that you can know when to expect AF, regardless of the length of your cycle 😊 the LP length usually is always the same (+- 1 day). So if you know your ovulation day and your LP length, you can know when to expect AF +- 1 day!

@pcbrb I must have a rapid onset though so it’s really tricky to pin point it. I tried OPKs the first time we were trying and according to them I never ovulated but I conceived my daughter on our second cycle trying 😂

And have you tried measuring BBT? Cause that's the Most accurate way to confirm ovulation... it might not be good to predict it but at least will confirm it happened and after some cycles you should be able to know the length of you LP... of course, hoping that you get pregnant ASAP.. but while you don't, at least you can get to know your cycle :)

Were you doing them more than once a day? I used to only do them in the morning and always seemed to miss my peak! Started doing them twice a day and you'd be surprised how different they can be from morning to night! X

This TWW is painfully long, I don't even know how many DPO I am cause I haven't tracked, currently CD22 and my cycles are normally between 26-30 days and I think I'm going to wait until my periods late before testing. Anyone else testing next week?

Starting to get symptoms of AF arriving 😕 feel very disappointed this month. I had a MMC in June and would have been due news year eve, something in my head had me believing I would be lucky again before then.

I'm 10 dpo today and just taken a test. What are everyone's thoughts? Anyone see a hint of a faint line? My eyes are playing tricks on me perhaps 😤

Period is now 2 days late and no sign of it showing up. Have I got an absolute squinter of a line here or am I seeing things? Don’t know what to think anymore 😂

I can see a VVVVVV faint line on both of those tests.They only seem to be present when I zoom out but not when I zoom in. It's very weird, but maybe because of compressed digital photographs.

Fingers crossed for you both... I am waiting to test for a few days now as I got a negative test yesterday (though still a bit early to test)

So I did a CB Digi this morning as was hoping it would show 2-3 weeks now but it actually said 'not pregnant'. So looks like I am actually having a CP 😢 I had half prepared myself given all the mixed results on my tests but given how much stronger my FRER was yesterday I had slightly gotten my hopes up so am pretty gutted to get that result this morning. I just hope AF shows her face quickly so we can get back to trying again!

Oh bloody hell. CP's are such a mindfk. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I've had two this year and they are so brutal. Sending love <3 and I hope this also means you can have all the christmas cheese and bevvies.

@SarahB88 tell me about it 🥺 AF was due on Sunday so the CP is obviously delaying it. I just hope it comes sooner rather than later! So annoying having to wait to be able to try again!

@Mals2022 definitely a mindf*ck!! I do have another FRER but not sure I see the point given my CB digi was positive and now negative. Just going to wait for AF I think - hopefully be here soon!

Yes I was thinking that! I'm half expecting to still be pregnant and my body playing tricks on me given the back and forth with these tests! If AF isn't here by Friday I'll do another test. Have just had a little cry to hubby too and we've agreed we'll not track anything this next cycle but just enjoy the process and up our BD efforts around my approximate fertility window and see how we go. We've also agreed if we have another CP we'll go to the docs for support or if we don't get successful in the next few months with me being 38 anyway. Think the cry helped... I needed that!

I have my fingers crossed for you! I think both a big cry and a plan for the next month is useful. In the meantime, do something nice for yourself if you can. <3

Aw bless, sounds like you’ve got a good hubby to support you though 🥰 I got pregnant the month I didn’t track and we didn’t try so everything crossed for you but even more crossed that it’s not a CP and you are pregnant this time and it sticks 🤞
