@Sunch it's totally up to you obviously. I say live in the moment and buy for the present. It's always nice to get a bargain but if you do end up testing positive this cycle you won't begrudge buying your pregnancy vitamins at full price.
This reminds me that Holland &Barrett's Black Friday ends today as well!

KT199 · 30/11/2024 22:34

Hello! Hope it’s okay if I join.
I am currently in my TWW, 7DPO according to my apps but I thought it looked more like 9DPO really, anyway will soon see! Had quite an increase in temps and my RHR today has gone wild, I dunno if noticing it has made me anxious? But I’ve not done much at all this evening bar relax on the sofa and it’s still scarily high! Charts for ref 😂

Good luck to everyone for December, my testing will probably start soon!

TTC Advice. Stopped the pill a year ago and still no joy. Ultrasound's all come back ok. OH booked in with the GP December. Anyway optimistic stories? ✨

How much darker do these get or is it likely this will be my peak? I'm going to test again later and obviously twice again tomorrow but never properly tracked with these before and have no idea what I'm looking for 🙈🤣 DTD last night and planning to try every day now for next few days just to cover our bases!

Wow that's a strong peak!

CoolSummer89 · 30/11/2024 23:28

@KT199 wow! Yes will be following your test results closely...

@glitter543 ah I'm sorry, I am also approaching the year mark with nothing seemingly wrong. I know a few people who took a year+ to conceive their first and then had their second one very quickly! My main advice would be just keep positive, it only takes one lucky break for it to work. And hopefully your partner's SA comes back all OK in the meantime.

Nico89 · 30/11/2024 23:40

Eurgh I need some hand holding please....

Promised no symptom spotting or early testing this cycle.... Ovulation may or may not have happened and if it did it was earlier than usual so definitely not able to dtd much at the right times so counted myself out pretty much and decided to not worry about it and just wait for AF in order to start again fresh in a new cycle.

Then something possessed me to possessed at 9dpo (BFN).

Now 11dpo AF due Monday (LP usually 11 or 12 days) had the tiniest amount of brown spotting last night literally just on wiping and then no more, and same again this evening slightly pinkish.
Had really uncomfortable pulling-cramping pain on Thursday at work on lower rhs and just mild cramping since and lower back ache.(I usually cramp for quite a few days prior to AF and get back pain but it usually ramps up day before to pretty severe not mild). Also electric shock type pain in boobs randomly which makes me jump.
I'm so confused, I don't want to get my hopes up that this is something when it almost certainly isn't. Why do our bodies do this to us? 😢

Beanie14 · 30/11/2024 23:42

@glitter543 same over here girl 😭

MummyV2021 · 30/11/2024 23:45

@Nico89 turns out it 100% was! I took another test later this evening and it wasn't anywhere near as dark! So guess I will be ovulating imminently hopefully!! Glad I took 2 tests today otherwise I might have completely missed that peak! Although I've been having major ovulation cramps today so think I'd have figured it out anyway!

On that point though - anyone who's already had a baby and/or is getting older (I'm 38), have your ovulation symptoms changed? Before my 3yo I would get cramps for a few hours on one day and they were pretty mild whereas since coming off the pill (was on it for 2 years post partum) my ovulation symptoms are so different! The cramps are a lot more intense for starters and they tend to last a few days (once they lasted for nearly a week) and I get so bloated and uncomfortable now whereas I never had that before! I guess I'm just not sure if it's an age thing or a PP thing?!

Beanie14 · 30/11/2024 23:46

@Nico89 my AF due Monday too! It’s so cruel isn’t it? AF symptoms and early pregnancy are almost identical so it’s just impossible not to symptom spot. I’m so sad as I thought I saw some pinky brown when I wiped last time I went to the toilet and now I’m convinced I’m out. Also a BFN at 9dpo.

Oh gosh lovely! Our bodies are bloody cruel! So annoying that the symptoms for pregnancy are so similar to AF! Just remember that implantation can happen anywhere up to 12DPO and then takes 48 hours for HCG to build. Fingers crossed what you're seeing is signs of implantation! Hang on in there, only a few days until you know. But I know if I was getting your symptoms it would be driving me mad too!! We're all in this crazy ride together! Sending baby dust your way xx

@Kateb149 second puberty is exactly what it is! Oh and the bloating was unreal coming up to my period last month. I had my coil out at the end of September.

MrsMermaid · 30/11/2024 23:56

@Nico89 I find it so hard not to symptom spot too. I have all of my fingers crossed for you xx

Flatwhitefiend · 01/12/2024 00:00

Hi all hope you don’t mind me popping in. I came off the pill in about August but now actively trying.

Last month I was away from my DH when I think my peak was. I have just been tracking from my Flo app. However I picked up some ovulation tests in the Black Friday deal. So I’m going to have to sit and read the instructions and learn when I’m supposed to do them. However on my period just now so definitely have some time before my December ovulation.

Have to say there are lot of acronyms in this thread lol!

MyGardenDaisies · 01/12/2024 00:25

@Nico89 I had pink bleeding one day last cycle and a faint line and was convinced last month I might be pregnant but AF came as scheduled and it was so hard. As PP said, AF and pregnancy symptoms are so similar it’s hard to tell.
If you can’t wait till AF missed, maybe get a digital sensitive test? X

Hi! Hopping on as I very naughtily tested v early and got a bfp . I'm 6 days post transfer after ivf after two losses so I'm not celebrating overly, but I'm allowing myself grace and optimism alongside apprehension.
Good luck everyone ❤️

Aw thanks, it's been a long old journey. I'm just taking it in small chunks, next thing I've got to get through is the hcg to check it's progressing. Here's a pic of the v early test, I wasn't expecting a good line like this.

Hi @Marie1990x I'm feeling OK about being perpetually on the TTC boards, I feel like a wise old sage now How are you getting on?

And yes @Hen2000 I def think testing is the best course of action for me. Otherwise I just try and second guess all the signs. I had my eye on a Mira fertility device for so long but they are both expensive to buy and the strips also expensive. Saw one on Vinted and just decided to go for it and treat myself. Actually amazing to see all the hormone levels in detail. So I hope this will hope TWW anxiety as I'm 4dpo today.
How are you getting on? Did you say you were nearing end of cycle?

I am 7dpo now! Will likely start testing in a couple of days even though I know it's early!

The last few days I have been like a moody teenager, these hormones are making me nuts 😂 i’ve had the same… last month I was so bloated I looked about 4 months gone and my DH asked me to take a test as soon as he saw my belly 😅 but no it was just AF due!
Hopefully it calms down for us in a few months 🤞

I'm 33. 4 pregnancies and my ovulation signs got worse after my second son (third pregnancy) normally I get a really bad headache and awful lower back pain. Before that I don't think I ever really noticed ovulation
