Hi ladies,
Hope you’re all doing okay! Definitely needed a few days break to calm my head down, hoping ovu is just delayed as no positive LH test for me yet, but did get my flashing smiley this morning (which was 3-5 days later than I’ve had in other cycles) so it may be on the horizon in the next few days. If I get a peak going to get the scan re-booked to confirm ovulation is happening as that sonographer really put the fear in me. I’m CD15, have always ovulated by now in the past.

May still be a little quieter than I normally as I am still feeling quite overwhelmed and worried but defo trying to be more positive and optimistic now

Congrats @Parks17 ! That’s a lovely birthday present as it’s my birthday today! I’m 37 which is a blessing and privilege but a complete slap of reality I must admit with TTC. Really got to get going with it, having a family now No 1 priority 😊😊🦕🦕❤️❤️🌙🌙 cycle 3 let’s go!

need to ring doctor tomorrow re test results. Have been thinking a lot about if we needed ivf and am very open to having twins! Then it’s done. Sadly can’t mail order.

Oh lass I'm in the exact same boat, the last 2 months I've got my LH peak CD 16/17 but this cycle didn't get my peak til this morning (CD19) after a snails pace surge! I almost counted myself out because I thought I had a super early peak, I'm glad I stuck at testing or I'd have missed it!
So I'm guessing ovu will be overnight so I had to force hubby into DTD after work, again, zero romance 😅😅

Not sure now if I'm going to have a short LP with failed implantation, or im going to have a longer cycle than usual - I'm not holding out hope tho because I usually have a very regular cycle.

Why are our bodies predictable like clockwork until we need it to be 🙄🙄

@littlebluu yeah im hoping I get my surge over the next few days, probably not likely today as I normal have a day or two between flashing smiley!

If your ovulation was delayed you should still have same length luteal phase, that’s the part that’s never meant to change so try not to worry, easier said than done I know! Pleased you found your surge though. Hahahah laughing about the forced DTD 🤣🤣🤣 it’s so romantic!

Morning girlies, am I the only one who finds the peeing on stick and waiting for LH peak more challenging than the 2WW ? I feel like the anticipation of DTD / not being able to DTD due to plans or anything frustrates me so much ! And let's not even talk about the LH tests, my bin is full of them every month 😅

I feel like whichever stage I’m in at that moment in time always feels the worst 😂😂 the only up side to the ovulation and LH testing phase is at least DTD can be fun and includes both of you, where as the TWW feels lonely to me and I feel like I spend the whole time making up symptoms in my head 🙃🤦🏽‍♀️

@HE93C I know tbf im saying this now but during the 2WW I'm all in my head too 😂 ttc in general is an absolute roller coaster and I'll make sure to say this to my friends who start trying so they prepare themselves mentally !!

Defo second that the LH testing is frustrating @Lila34830 and I feel the same I get stressed thinking omg have we covered the days we needed to, to optimise the chances!!

But I struggle with the middle of the TWW quite a lot emotionally @HE93C , but do put it down to my hormones 😂 and my OH thinking I’m a crazy lady when I’m like oh by the way I had a cramp today.. and he’s like yes and??? 🤣🤣

Omg girl the amount of times I tell my husband " maybe I'm pregnant and w don't know yet " 😂😭
He was so confused when I came downstairs after the CP. and said " I was pregnant but I'm not anymore" bless him. He was leaving for work and was like huh ?!
He used to think as well that ONE time unprotected sex would lead to pregnancy 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

To be fair to him, I used to think this too! I had no idea what I was getting myself in for when we started trying!
I also think we had a false sense of security with getting pregnant the first week we stopped using protection, only for that to MC and then it not happen straight away this time!

I do feel for the men sometimes cos at least we know what’s going on with our bodies where as they’re like “what does that mean” to literally everything we say 😂😂

@HE93C bless you !! I think no one can imagine how hard it is on the body and mind !
I also somehow feel for men because I don't know if I could deliver on demand if I was a man ! So much pressure ! And there's no way around it !

That’s true!! I’d never thought of that as a pressure on them but you’re right!

I'm honestly not much of a sexual person so I think DH is absolutely in delirium about it 😆😆 I told him tho he'd soon get sick of 5 times a week, and I think its starting to kick in already 😅

Put it that way guys, if I was a man, I would not be able to perform for 5 days straight 😅 I was reading a post about someone saying their DH had no trouble before ttc and then felt like a massive pressure and I can totally get that tbh ! I guess the mental load is different depending on the gender !

I agree, my husband before TTC would want to do it every day if he could (we’re both 30) I definitely couldn’t mind, but now he has what I can only assume is stage freight around ovulation 🤣

We’ve not hit stage fright yet, but I feel like if we don’t try spice it up some more it could as it’s becoming quite repetitive and samey 🤣🤣🤣

@Toppstileslover Happy Birthday and thank you for thinking of me! I too took a little break from here. Started SMEP on CD10, DTD on CD10,11,13 and of course this cycle is very slow to get going. There’s almost nothing at all on my ovulation strips and I’m CD13, I got symptoms or a surge before on CD14 but we will persevere and give it all we’ve got for this cycle. If it doesn’t work we will chill out a bit for Christmas and regroup in January. I am away on a work trip next week so I hope something happens ovulation wise soon. I got my Hertility results back and my LH was high and I was also flagged for possible Hyperprolactinaemia, so there is a good chance that nothing will happen until I get that seen to, I aim to try and get to the GP next week before I go away.

Looks like I’m heading towards peak as got a 0.87 this morning! Fingers crossed my body actually ovulates and it’s just been delayed as it’s CD17 for me today and never had a surge start later than CD13 in the past 🤞

Ooo interesting! Keep testing today 😃 I find my peak sometimes comes as goes within a few hours.
Have you DTD to cover yourself?

I’m currently CD 11. Cycle #3 after 2 chemicals in the last 2 months. I ovulate CD 14 usually, but last month after my chemical I ovulated CD16. So I’m wondering after my chemical this month if it’ll be late/ on time/ early.
im praying it’s early as we’ve DTD every other day 🤣

I’m praying we’ve covered ourselves too, it’s so hard to know isn’t it!! Glad you’ve managed to find your peak!!

I peaked Monday Eve, we DTD Thurs, fri, sun, mon x2 and Tues - wanted to do yesterday too but didn’t get chance cos of work schedules. Now I’m overthinking that we didn’t 🤦🏽‍♀️ I don’t know what timing is the most important one. Anyone have any theories? I can’t possibly google anymore, there’s no more info that can possibly go into my head I’ve googled so much hahah
