Hello everyone 😊 I hope you don’t mind me gatecrashing your thread!

I’ve only just joined MN. I reckon my partner is getting fed up with all my cycle chat 😂 so when I came across these feeds it seemed like a good outlet to chat all things ttc.

I’m early in my journey, reckoning AF is coming any day now so looking forward to my next cycle!

Emiily887 · 05/10/2024 08:49

Welcome everyone🥰
How are you all doing? CD12 for me today, going to start opk today 🩷

LuxyLocket · 05/10/2024 11:14

Welcome @Elliettc we are here to listen to all the ttc chat! You are most welcome 😂my husband is exactly the same!
doing ok thank you @Emiily887 very glad it’s the weekend! I’m cd11 today and noticed a bit of ewcm (sorry tmi) so that is probably the start of my fertile window so will start opk later today when Amazon delivers them!
Exciting for you your day 12!

HA22 · 05/10/2024 11:33

CD12 today. I did my first OPK this morning and I got a whopping 0.09 lol at least I have a baseline
Any other OPK results from today?

owlcat24 · 05/10/2024 12:45

Yes I just did mine and it's in the rise, not quite a positive yet I don't think as the control line is a bit darker. The app says 0.75. I'm CD 12 today and last month my peak was at CD13 so I'm expecting to see a positive tomorrow.

Emiily887 · 05/10/2024 14:17

Started mine today and got a lovely 0.25😂 I usually ovulate slightly later between cd16 and 18 but usually start opks earlier, so feel like there’s less of a wait this month which is good for my crazy testing brain😂
@LuxyLocket that sounds positive! Hopefully your opk comes at a decent time🩷
@owlcat24 nearly ovulation time for you then! Yay!🥲 the tww is almost upon us ladies….who will cave first this month?!😂

Got my first flashing smiley so we get on with it tonight 😂 got to laugh otherwise I'd cry to be honest, so fed up with this whole process now!

Tadpolecat · 05/10/2024 15:29

May I join?

@Elliettc looks like we may be at a similar stage in our cycles. CD1 for me today, cycle 2 trying for baby no2.🙂

MyGardenDaisies · 05/10/2024 16:52

Hi!
I am in the waiting phase, day 18 of 28 day cycles in average. I think I’ll test on 14th. I have a lot of plans next week, so hope it will keep me away from buying anything before. Famous last words haha

LuxyLocket · 05/10/2024 18:23

Did my first ever opk! It’s clear blue digital. I hadn’t realised you put the strips into the reader thingy. Left it for too long and went away to do something and by the time I went back it was blank 🤣
but when I took it out the second line was fairly dark so the right hormones are definitely building. Will do another in the morning.

😂😂😂😂 I am so glad someone else got confused, when the test thing was flashing I was sat there thinking I’d broken it already 🫣
In all the years I have never used the clear blue ones so it’s new for me. It came back as low chance anyway which matches with the cheapies although looking back cheapies are slightly above baseline for cd12 so maybe I’m going to ovulate a day or so earlier this month, may be because of the chemical last cycle. How are you feeling lovely? X

Fingers crossed for you! If you wait it out until the 14th hats off!! How many dpo are you? 🥰

It begins!! It’s so hard to keep it ‘natural’ when you know you need to bd at certain times isn’t it🫠

MyGardenDaisies · 05/10/2024 19:18

@Emiily887 I got peak on day 15, apps say ovulated on day 16, so I think I’m 2DPO and got a 12-day luteal phase usually, so it’s actually a 12-day wait not full two weeks. Thank you x

That's quite high so yes time to dtd. How long are your cycles on average?

Hello @Tadpolecat 😊

Oh we are! AF arrived for me today too - cycle buddies.

Very exciting, I hope you’re not waiting for too long for your BFP. What age is your little one?

We’re trying for our first.

@LuxyLocket I think we're cycle buddies too, also day11 for me. Life is ridiculously busy atm so have managed to successfully restrain myself to just cheapy opks once or twice a day for now... We shall see. Hope this is our month!

LuxyLocket · 05/10/2024 22:28

@MrsS11 Yes we are exactly the same day! Really hope this is our month too 🤞🤞I think I usually ovulate around day 14 but using the opk for the first time as want to be sure.
@Emiily887 haha glad it’s not just me who is new to using them!
I do wonder how accurate they are. Reviews seem pretty good. I also like how when you take them out of the digital reader you can see the strip with the line and see how dark it is.

owlcat24 · 06/10/2024 08:00

@HA22 my cycles are around 27 days. Tested this morning and it was a 0.5 reading 🤔 perhaps it will go up again or maybe I missed my peak?! No clue.

Tadpolecat · 06/10/2024 08:15

@Elliettc our son is 2yrs 8m. We knew we didn't want a close gap but now I'm starting to wonder if we should have TTC a little earlier! What will be will be though!
How exciting for you! How long are your cycles usually? Mine seem to be 27-29 days.

Elliettc · 06/10/2024 09:38

Thanks for the warm welcome @LuxyLocket! Where are you on your ttc journey? Do you have any kids already? I’m a nurse so I love to get into the delve into the nitty gritty of my cycle but my partners super squeamish and would rather I missed out the gory details 😂 I just keep saying I’m prepping him for the pregnancy/birth!

@Tadpolecat ah that’ll be the perfect age gap - baby dust to you! How many cycles did it take for your little boy? My friend has 2 under 2 at the moment and is finding it tough, she wishes she’d left it a little longer.

My cycle tends to be 30/31 days, I’ve been tracking since I stopped birth control over a year ago. It seems to be in a pretty good rhythm. My cramps this cycle have been really bad, I normally only suffer a little during ovulation then the day before AF, but they’ve been lasting for days this cycle. The only thing that’s different is that I’ve started taking a prenatal vitamin, has this happened to anyone else?

LuxyLocket · 06/10/2024 10:24

@Elliettc So we had a lovely little surprise start to our journey in June where I fell pregnant with our first, we weren’t trying, just not really preventing as we had just got married in the Spring so were very relaxed about things after our wedding. Sadly that ended in a mc in the August. This is our second month of properly ttc! I was a bit all over the place last month and didn’t really handle it well though these lovely ladies on the chat made it more bearable and I’m definitely feeling calmer this month.

CD12 today and had a flashy smiley on opk so means high fertility. We’re also using preseed this month. I do take prenatal vitamins yes. Proceive which has all the recommended things in one, plus the folic acid, plus omega 3 and co-q10

you need a place to delve into the nitty gritty talk and here it is!! It’s great to have a nurse in the thread! Where are you on your journey?

HA22 · 06/10/2024 10:31

@owlcat24 ooh perhaps test again in a few hours or retake the picture? sometimes it could be the lighting x

MyGardenDaisies · 06/10/2024 11:03

@LuxyLocket what dose of CoQ10 do you take? Pregnacare Conception has a bit of it in too but not sure if enough. 🤔

LuxyLocket · 06/10/2024 11:06

@MyGardenDaisies Yeah my Proceive also has a bit of it but a lower dose. I take boots max strength co-q10 alongside.
Proceive has 25mg. The boots one has 200mg

my friend who had IUI was taking it and was successful. She recommended so I bought the same one. It’s spenny, I must have spent a small fortune with all the stuff I’ve bought haha but if it works it’ll be worth it.
