Hi ladies, I’ve just started a new thread for us to continue the support🩷

@Elliettc we were very lucky and fell first cycle with our son, I think it has lulled us into thinking it would be easy again! Now we've had our first failed cycle, reality has set it that it is usual not to always happen when you would like it to!
That's a good start, that you have a regular cycle! I'm only taking vitamin D and Folic Acid so far.
Think this cycle I'm going to look at things that may help - preseed being one of them!

Emiily887 · 06/10/2024 14:50

Sorry ladies just trying to catch up!🫣
CD13 for me today, opk are still low at 0.31. Usually start to see a rise on cd15 - always have longer cycles though!
vitamin wise I’m just taking folic acid and vitamin d at the moment. Used conceive plus last month but have some preseed for this cycle to try! Good luck to everyone entering fertile week and those who’s ovulation has been and gone! 🩷

How does everyone approach how much they share with thier partner. Do you tell them when it is the fertile time or try to keep things more relaxed?

owlcat24 · 06/10/2024 15:29

Did another OPK this afternoon and the line was very faint. So I'm assuming I peaked yesterday, but will test for a few more days in case it surges again (I think I read somewhere that you can have a proper peak after a high reading)

owlcat24 · 06/10/2024 16:17

I dunno, what do we think? I'm looking at these pics now and I think my CD12 tests look positive? Or is the test line not quite dark enough still? Not sure how accurate the app is at coming up with the numbers

Lucky october?🤞🏼
MrsS11 · 06/10/2024 17:41

Ooh tricky @owlcat24 . I have noticed I have a smaller 'peak' the day before I have a proper one, I panicked last month thinking I'd not had a high enough peak. But equally, last time I was pregnant my highest peak was 0.79. So you might need to hedge your bets!

Yeah totally, there's not much I can do about it anyway! Just DTD on the assumption that it was a peak but keep an eye on it for a few more days in case it creeps back up

Emiily887 · 06/10/2024 20:38

@owlcat24 I think cd12 (second one) definitely looks like a peak! More so than the first despite being a lower reading lol! I’d just keep testing incase there’s another peak🩷

@LuxyLocket I’m so sorry to hear about your mc, that must’ve been really difficult. I’m glad you had a good support network and are feeling a bit better about it all this month. It’s so hard to navigate loss at the best of times, never mind when your hormones are all over the place as well! I do hope it all works out for you soon 💕

I’m just starting my third cycle I guess, the first month we kinda decided we were going to ‘stop preventing’ it from happening, actively tried last cycle just going off of the app and cm but this will be my first month using opk and bbt for tracking.

@Tadpolecat fingers crossed you get your bfp this time around! I guess it’s reassuring that you fell so easily last time, but I know in the daunting land of ttc it’s never that simple!

owlcat24 · 07/10/2024 06:44

Thanks ladies. I'm going to work on the basis that it was my peak, which would make me 1DPO today. I'll continue OPKs for a few more days just in case

SlimGin · 07/10/2024 07:47

AF finally arrived this morning! The Premom app puts me as ovulating on Halloween 🎃, but giving that my cycle is quite unpredictable, when do you think I should start tracking ovulation? I was thinking from CD 14 to be safe..

curliegirlie · 07/10/2024 07:56

Ah God, ovulating on CD25 must be a pain in the backside, making your cycle drag on. When is the earliest you've ovulated? I'd start testing from a bit before then, tedious as it will be. Good luck!

MyGardenDaisies · 07/10/2024 08:12

hi! 4DPO, anyone else or also in the two week wait? X

Emiily887 · 07/10/2024 08:14

@SlimGin sorry to hear af arrived. I would start testing at cd12 just to be on the safe side!🥰

SlimGin · 07/10/2024 08:29

Thanks @Emiily887 and @curliegirlie!
I'm pretty happy this morning, as AF was so late and I was getting BFNs, it's good to now be able to let that cycle go and start over.
This will be my first month properly tracking ovulation so I don't have much past data, it's a bit of a shot of the dark so yes, good idea to start OPKs early. Last month I felt like I ovulated around CD15, but didn't have any OPKs at that point!

LucyLou0527 · 07/10/2024 09:39

CD7 for me today! Last month I ovulated CD14 but flo is telling me it will be CD17.

Does anyone have any good tactics for DTD on specific days? Last month we dtd every day for 10 days straight and it made us sick by the end of it😂

LuxyLocket · 07/10/2024 09:54

Hi ladies, just catching up. @SlimGin You definitely feel better once you’re onto a new cycle. I’m sorry af but it’s actually easier to start over as you say and glad you’re feeling happy. This month is also my first month using opk so we can muddle through together!
thank you for your kind words @Elliettc

im cd13 today and got a peak fertility smile on opk this morning!!! I think im ovulating a bit earlier than last month. Which is why im glad im doing opk this time as clearly it does fluctuate a bit. Got loads of ewcm and some side pain low down so might be right!
we dtd yesterday on day 12 so we’re covered. Ideally want to dtd when hubby back from work. Typically though I think I’ve come down with a sicky bug 🙈or perhaps something I ate. Will try and persuade him still. Oh the joy of ttc sex 😂
how’s everyone else doing?

MrsS11 · 07/10/2024 13:25

@LucyLou0527 10 days straight is impressive! After thinking I was figuring my cycle out (and it settling down after a 2nd trimester miscarriage) I'm so confused. I have pink discharge today and my tests seem to be all over the shop. Previously I've had a very short peak so maybe I just missed it? But they're going back up again?

Lucky october?🤞🏼
HA22 · 07/10/2024 13:26

@LucyLou0527 Id recommend every other day. I read somewhere that your chances with every other day is pretty much the same as every day x

@SlimGin i'd recommend CD12 to be on the safe side but that's if your cycles are regularly less than 30 days x

HA22 · 07/10/2024 13:28

@owlcat24 yeah i'd say you're 1DPO, how exciting! the 2ww has begun, stay busy!

owlcat24 · 07/10/2024 13:39

@MrsS11 oh your tests look so similar to mine! And I'm in the same situation, not really knowing whether I missed my peak or just never had one or the app is just not very good at reading them and coming up with a number. I'm assuming that I did peak on CD12 at some point. Although my OPKs are barely visible now - but perhaps yours is on the rise again? I'd test for a few more days to see if you get another high reading!

owlcat24 · 07/10/2024 13:41

@HA22 yeah I've been quite busy recently so easy to keep my mind off it! No doubt the time will drag the closer I get to 10 DPO (when I plan to start testing!)

Have you been doing OPKs?

EagerBiscuit · 07/10/2024 16:32

Hey everyone!
Chemical pregnancy last month so feeling a little flat but picking myself up and trying to stay positive.

Had any tried Proceive Supplements before? X

HA22 · 07/10/2024 16:34

@owlcat24 last few days knowing it's just the little one without another one on the way! ive been testing but so far still very low.

i wonder if anyone else has noticed that the first wee in the morning gives a lighter reading compared to say the second wee of that day?

han311 · 07/10/2024 16:51

Hello everybody could I please join? I'm cd19, 3-4dpo (I think), AF due 18th oct, ttc #2 ☺️ how is everyone doing? Xx
