Hi ladies, I’ve just started a new thread for us to continue the support🩷

Still no AF today, but my cycle has not settled since coming off the pill earlier this year. I didn't really track OPK last month so might end up going OPK crazy this month, especially as my cycle is not easy to understand!

Bless you lovely! Have you tested?
All the ladies on the last thread will agree we are all OPK and test mad so you’re definitely in the right thread😂🥰 fingers crossed for you!!

I’m feeling a little sad tonight,

my friend has only been off the pill since July has just had a blazing positive this evening! While I’m super happy for her I can’t help but feel jealous and I’m so annoyed at myself for feeling this way🥲🥲

Luckypinkduck · 28/09/2024 20:32

Hoping I can join you guys as this seems like a great support thread and I need to speak to someone about this!
I got my AF yesterday and actually cried in the supermarket loo with my little boy in with me. I think it's just hormones but feeling very sad and also silly.
It's only month 3 of trying but it has been a really tough choice deciding to try for baby 2 as we had a really difficult pregnancy/ birth/ sick baby in NICU. When we finally agreed and plucked up the courage to go for it I hoped it might happen quickly. It took 12 months last time so thinking we are in for a bit of a wait. Giving all of you lots of luck, my heart goes out to those having loses.

I’m sorry lovely, I totally understand what you mean! You’re not a bad person for feeling that way and feelings like that are totally normal. Try and stay positive, we’re all here to support eachother and if you need a vent this is a safe place for that🩷

Welcome! It’s definitely a supportive thread, the one we had last month was absolutely amazing and the ladies are all super supportive 🥰
i’m sorry to hear AF turned up yesterday, it’s really difficult when it comes. I’m on day 5 now and slowly feeling less upset and more positive for this cycle, so although it’s hard now I am sure the sadness will start to fade into hope again🩷
It sounds like you’ve had a really difficult time, thank you for sharing your story with us! Hopefully you get a sticky bean soon and things are easier this time round, but no matter what we are all here supporting eachother.
If this thread is anything like the last (no doubt it will be) you’ll hopefully find this cycle a little easier. When I made the last thread the ladies really helped me as I was so close to falling apart when I made it, so hopefully it’ll be the same for you. It’s easier knowing others are in the same boat and at similar points in their cycle. Sending love 🥰

@MrsS11 @owlcat24 @LuxyLocket how are you ladies holding up? Xx

MrsS11 · 28/09/2024 21:01

Aw thanks @Emiily887 I'm ok, it's been a heck of a week tbh. We had our obstetrics debrief for our loss, which showed it was because of a hypercoiled cord. Horrible but also a relief that I didn't do anything wrong, we couldn't have forseen or prevented it and really unlikely to happen again so any future pregnancy would be low risk. And I'd get 'as many scans as you want' which was good to hear! But, my in-laws (who live abroad) want to book a big weekend away next summer for their anniversary so we had to suggest they move it to Easter or risk us not being there, if I was to fall pregnant between now and Christmas, which feels a bit personal to be sharing. Needs must. @LucyLou0527 I think it's really normal to have those horrible mixed feelings. Your time will come 😊 @Luckypinkduck I know so many people who had completely different stories each time. I have a friend who had to have IVF for two babies, thought she was done then had a wee surprise third! A tough journey requires extra bravery though, hugs

LuxyLocket · 28/09/2024 21:23

As @Emiily887 says this is a really supportive thread and we all keep eachother going 💕🩷I’m so glad I’ve connected with some women also going through the same thing!
im so so sorry to hear some of the stories on here, it’s just awful any of us have had these happen but I really think people who ‘breeze through’ just get lucky and are actually the minority. Everyone’s story is different and the journey can be tough for so many. Mixed feelings and jealousy at times are totally ok and natural. We are not bad people.
we are on our 2nd month ttc after a 9 wk loss back in the summer. Joining this has really helped, so thank you @Emiily887 for setting it up!
Im feeling more ok now. Had a tough few days when AF came, crying, feeling sad for the baby we lost and that it didn’t work this time. Had an argument with DH which is most unlike us but more cos of just how I didn’t handle it well. However onto a new cycle and those feelings are turning into optimism and hope again. There’s no reason it won’t happen soon! 🤞

LucyLou0527 · 28/09/2024 21:28

Still no AF for me arghhhh on Friday I had one wipe of pink CM then nothing! I was supposed to start on Thursday, I’m so annoyed!

I just feel stuck in limbo land and can’t feel either negative about last cycle or positive for next cycle.

it really gets to a point where you start wishing for AF to arrive😂

LuxyLocket · 28/09/2024 21:30

I’m sorry @LucyLou0527 that being stuck in limbo is actually harder. How odd about the wipe of pink then nothing! Do you think it could be implantation bleeding? I might have missed on the other thread if you tested or not.

So strange!

yes I’ve done 1 million tests since like 5dpo I’m ridiculous😂

it could possibly be an implantation bleed I suppose! Some women have a “period” when they are due and then 4 weeks later find out they are 8 weeks pregnant so it’s a possibility but I don’t want to convince myself of anything😩

owlcat24 · 28/09/2024 22:17

Hey @Emiily887 thanks for asking! I'm just trying to keep myself busy and distracted, which has been easy enough so far as my toddler was a bit unwell so it was full on. Waiting until CD10 to start doing OPKs! Hope everyone else is ok, sorry to hear that you still don't have any answers @LucyLou0527! Did you track your ovulation or is it possible you ovulated later hence the late AF and negative tests (as it would be too early to show 👀)?

That must have been really hard @MrsS11, but also reassuring that future pregnancies should be low risk. Nothing can change the feelings of upset after a loss but I am so glad you’ve had that appointment and have some insight now!🩷 sending love xxx

How many days of AF do you usually have? Mine should hopefully start tailing off today🤞🏼
then onto the long wait for ovulation and the even longer tww🫠

It’s the best way to do it! We’ve all been full of colds, as soon as children go back to school / nursery it never seems to end🤦🏻‍♀️ hope he’s feeling better now!
What CD are you on? CD6 for me xx

@Emiily887 I’m cycle day 5 today, we’re so close! Mine is starting to tail off today too. Yes the feelings of sadness quickly have turned into hope again so that’s something.
I tried BBT last cycle but it was my first time doing it so I didn’t really know what I was looking for either!
I did it as soon as I woke up. It stays around your average BBT until just before ov where it dips, then it increases afterwards, I tracked it all the way til AF where it stayed high but then it dipped again as AF came. If you’re pregnant it stays high apparently. I don’t know much about it that’s just what I read/have been told but let us know how it goes!
I’ve ordered some male supplements so DH is going to start those for this cycle. I’ve decided I want to try opk and maybe preseed for this time.

HeartyPanda · 29/09/2024 12:27

Hello Ladies, i would love to join you, which dpo are in ? I haven’t tracked mine this month but u guess i am 1dpo.

thank you @LuxyLocket.
I was wondering if you ladies made sure you have clean/ varied diet while trying? I heard it makes a difference, but i can’t convince my parter to tag along!!

LuxyLocket · 29/09/2024 13:05

I tried to eat more of the right things when we started trying yeah. Lots of fish, chicken, green veg. Also drank beetroot juice daily as apparently it helps with implantation.
having said that, when we fell pregnant last time as a little surprise, it was after a few weeks of being in a show and not eating properly for weeks! We just lived off ‘food to go’ and snacks 😂sadly that pregnancy ended in a mc so I’ve definitely tried to improve my diet since.
ive also completely cut out alcohol and caffeine. But not everyone has to that it was just my personal choice as I wanted to do all I can of minimising the risk of mc again.

HeartyPanda · 29/09/2024 13:16

Im sorry to hear about your MC @LuxyLocket, i feel you, i had also one earlier this year.
i also made a choice to eat healthier and made peace with it, i allow myself some treats once in a while.
Thank you for the beetroot advice i didn’t know about this.

LuxyLocket · 29/09/2024 13:21

I’m so sorry @HeartyPanda it’s so heartbreaking isn’t it. And the journey of ttc after a loss feels a little different now doesn’t it. But thank you for sharing that with me. It’s so important to talk.
yes apparently it has health benefits to increase blood flow to the uterus hence could help implantation. No such luck last month but I’m going to keep it up. It tastes like the earth haha but if it works it’s worth it!
are you taking any vitamins and supplements?
