Evening everyone! How are we all?🩷
CD 16 for me and still no sign of ovulation. Hoping we start to see a rise tomorrow otherwise I’m starting to think it’s not coming this month after my chemical last month ☹️

Hi @Emiily887 been thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for ovulation for you 💕💕🤞🤞are you just doing the strips or are you using a digital as well?
if you’ve had other ov signs like ewcm then you just never know and maybe it’s a very subtle ovulation this month. I really really hope it comes for you.

I’ve been using strips and cb ☹️ I’ve gone back over my previous cycles on Premom app and there was one month where they were completely negative until cd17 so I’m holding onto hope where I can but also keep thinking it’s just not going to come this month😩 no other ov signs just yet.
How are you? Back in the tww…. Keeping everything crossed for you this cycle 🥲🩷

@Emiily887 I’m so sorry it really sucks, I hadn’t actually realised til ttc that it is possible to not ovulate every cycle, I thought it had been a given, I’m not sure I did last month or at least I wasn’t sure at all when it was as had no obvious signs, this month has been more noticeable. It’s all a learning curve. I do hope it’s as you say cd17 ovulation for you. And it can still happen! I’m keeping everything crossed for ovulation for you!
yeah entering the tww now. We dtd twice day 12 and 14 and was too tired and feeling unwell to do more than that tbh so hopefully it’s enough. Trying to stick to my mantra of staying calmer as well but we shall see! So nice to chat 💕

Justbloodylovecrisps · 09/10/2024 20:37

@Emiily887 my peaks seem to just appear out of nowhere! They are super low for ages then straight to surge, you've defo still got time 😊

Joleyjojo · 09/10/2024 21:01

Hi 👋🏼 I am CD7 and starting SMEP tomorrow 😂😂 so I am going to be shattered this month. I am using the CB advanced fertility monitor from CD9 and I will use pressed on my high and peak days. Good luck to everyone x

Emiily887 · 09/10/2024 21:29

@LuxyLocket @Justbloodylovecrisps well i just did a pre bed test and we have a flashing smiley! 🤞🏼still faint on the cheapies but guess it’s on the rise (I hope!)
Thank you both for being so lovely about that, I was seriously having a minor breakdown thinking it just wasn’t coming this month….never normally worry as I know I ovulate between cd16 and 18 but also normally see a slow rise (always still faint but steadily rising) then a sudden positive appears but this month it didn’t seem to be rising much at all😂 I think because of the chemical last month I was worried it would write this whole cycle off 😭 anyway, apologised to hubby for being a grump and moaning it wouldn’t happen!! So now I am over the meltdown😂😂

@LuxyLocket exciting! Glad you managed to cover those two days, that’s all you need! Fingers crossed for you!!

@Joleyjojo good luck to you and OH!! We tried smep last month and I think I’m still recovering 😂😂😂 however I did fall pregnant despite it being a chemical so maybe some truth in it!!🤞🏼

@Emiily887 Fantastic news on your flashing smiley! Sometimes it just appears out of nowhere! So happy for you. 💕
Totally get all the anxious feelings/worry that comes with all of this so always here to listen. That’s what this lovely thread is for 🥰
I do feel confident going into the tww that although we only dtd twice it was definitely bang on ov the second time and first would have meant sperm were there waiting. I think last cycle I just wasn’t sure when ovulation was. So we shall see. But best of luck for you now you know you’re ovulating!
@Joleyjojo we used preseed this cycle so will see if it has made any difference for us. 🤞hubby did comment about the price but I wanted to try it 😂

Emiily887 · 09/10/2024 21:41

@LuxyLocket thank you🥲 it is so stressful isn’t it! I think I’m getting more anxious the more cycles we get through. DS took 14 months and it was a whirlwind of a pregnancy so I think I’m just none stop worrying about everything now! I just need to be calm and collected (maybe one day🤣)
Definitely! You’ve definitely covered it so hopefully it’s enough! In the 14 months it took with DS, the cycle we got a sticky bean was the cycle we didn’t use opk (I had literally given up all hope after multiple mc and was planning to have a break from ttc) and we only managed to dtd once that cycle so it is definitely down to luck a lot of the time I think!
We are also using preseed this cycle, last month used conceive plus. TMI but are you finding preseed a little sticky?🤣 it seems to make such a mess but hopefully it’s worth it!

@Emiily887 I really admire you for being so open about how long it took for you to conceive it actually normalises it for us. I know of a couple of friends who fell first time and sometimes that’s hard to hear.
yes very ironic the month you dtd once without really thinking was the the time! It only takes one after all.
a little yes! It feels like there’s a lot there and afterwards it’s very messy sorry tmi 😂😂but if it works I’ll take it!
also doing the whole elevating the legs thing for literally 20-30 mins afterwards I don’t know how much it actually helps but I’ve done that differently this month as well.

Justbloodylovecrisps · 09/10/2024 21:48

@Joleyjojo I've done that this month & im on the home straight! It's my last one today. Defo ready for a break after this even though it's my wedding anniversary next week 😅

@Emiily887 honestly it's a minefield isn't it. So sorry about your chemical, it's never easy having to go through that, I'm sending you all the possy vibes for this month. Great news about the flashing, you're defo close! You'll have to get busy tonight 😂

I had a chemical in March this year. Apparently you ovulate later after a chemical pregnancy as the bleed is technically a MC not a normal menstrual bleed. Plus your hormones are all over the place after a chemical pregnancy so it's not uncommon to skip ovulation until your hormones settle down and your cycle returns to normal. Worry not ☝🏽

It’s definitely important to highlight it, for some it’s an easy journey and others not so much! It can vary so much with the same person too!! My DD was conceived while I was on the implant, a total (but very beautiful) surprise. Yet ttc our son took so long, same person but very different experiences.
Glad it’s not just me! Definitely take it if it works😂 how are you today?

I’m doing okay, I’m excited for trigger tomorrow! You ovulate 36 hours after so was thinking DTD tomorrow and Saturday night, maybe Sunday morning?

LuxyLocket · 10/10/2024 15:48

Doing ok thank you @Emiily887 💕🤞2DPO and just hope it’s worked this time. It’s crazy to think is anything happening in there?! Luckily I’ve got a super busy week next week so I’m hoping the 2ww won’t feel so long this time. Sounds like you’re super close to ovulation now! Are you dtd every other day? Sorry if that’s a personal question. We been doing every other day as I’ve heard that’s still as good a chance as every day anyway as the sperm need time to regenerate.

Justbloodylovecrisps · 10/10/2024 17:37

@Emiily887 it's the best thing about being anonymous isn't it 😂 and also that we're all in the same boat as it can be quite consuming having to be this crazy behind closed doors (not saying you are crazy, just me) I think I'm 4DPO today, but I had like 3 days of peaks on my OPK, so who actually knows at this point! Only 3 days until I can start my crazy obsessive testing 🤪

Have you had your smiley yet? X

@LuxyLocket how exciting to already be 2dpo!🥲 hopefully it goes a little quicker but here to support you through the tedious wait🥰
Yep, we’re doing every other day but we dtd last night and going to try tonight as I think I’ll ovulate tomorrow evening or Saturday morning so don’t want to miss the last chance if that makes sense. I just hate the way ttc puts you on a BD schedule even if you try not to be🫣
@Justbloodylovecrisps absolutely! No no, I am absolutely crazy aswell 😂😂 if you saw last months thread you’d think we are all crackers honestly🤣 my motto last cycle was to just embrace the crazy!
Still flashing as of late morning, just done a strip and they’re getting much darker now so I’m expecting a static by tomorrow🤞🏼🤞🏼

AnonymousSGJB · 10/10/2024 18:27

@Emiily887 I'm on 7dpo so half way through the TWW. I've promised myself I'm not going to get my hopes up though or symptom check and just wait to see if AF turns up next week. Wishing everyone the best of luck for October success. Your chances of conceiving are higher in the first 3 cycles following a chemical so fingers crossed for you. I will light some red dragons blood and white sage incense to bring us all luck ☺️

Justbloodylovecrisps · 10/10/2024 18:41

@Emiily887 I love that, looks like I've found the right thread then 🙌🏻 hope you get your smiley soon 🥰 I'm going to give the clear clue fertility monitor a bash next month, got nothing to lose at this point!

Emiily887 · 10/10/2024 19:23

@AnonymousSGJB how exciting that you’re half way through! Fingers crossed for you🤞🏼 I have heard that before! Hopefully that’ll be the case🥰 how lovely of you - really
hope it’s a lucky cycle for all!
@Justbloodylovecrisps thank you! I’ve never used them before, only ever used cheapies so it’s all new to me this month! I like that it shows the estrogen rise with the flashing smiley. Apparently the static is when the LH peaks so it’s looking for more than the strips which may be useful!🤞🏼

OP posts:
Justbloodylovecrisps · 10/10/2024 20:05

@Emiily887 yes I've heard the clear blue ones are great. I'm constantly analysing the strips every month wondering when or if I'm going to get the surge! I've just invested in the monitor and you plug it into the machine so hopefully that will simplify it a lot more for me 🤣
