Two week wait ladies, you there?

I am 5DPO today. First proper cycle of trying to conceive.

I know we’re not likely to feel any symptoms yet, but id anyone else hyper focused on every twinge or movement? I swear I woke up in the night with really sore b0.obs but now they don’t feel too bad - last night they were super veiny and looked diff.
I’m presuming this is just post-ovulation symptoms.

I don’t want to overthink and get myself stressed but so hoping something is going on. I hope i’ll know more in a few days.. and I know how rare/lucky it is to catch first time.

sorry for radio silence - found this month quite overwhelming as i’ve been trying to go easy on testing but alas, seems like I need to do at least 1 LH test a day lol. Been a tricky month with my other halfs grandad’s funeral 2 days before my expected peak… however premom app is telling me I should be ovulating tomorrow and yet my temp/lh tests/cm aren’t showing the same thing!! I reckon i’ve another 1-2 days yet! I read about drinking grapefruit juice to help cm- unsure how legit the info was but i’ve had that for a few weeks to help alas nothing - haha!!

Sorry to hear about the funeral, hope he had a good send off!

It’s ALOT and I think temping means it’s ALWAYS the first thought you have every day, so starts your day off automatically thinking and wondering about ovulation. Alongside the fact LH testing isn’t an exact science 😩. I thought we’d really covered the BD’ing well, then my BBT kept dropping further and my ovulation was then confirmed over 4 days after my first positive LH and over 2 days after peak. Sooo, it is what it is.

I actually find myself feeling relieved in the first week of the TWW! I know no symptoms could be linked to a BFP and I don’t need to pee on any sticks 😂. But then as soon as 7DPO arrives I start wanting to test!!! Told myself this month I will wait until 12 DPO.. which is typically the day before Aunt Flo arrives.

I know I'm not on the same schedule as you guys now but my HCG is dropping rapidly according to BEP and I've finished my bleed now so I'm just waiting for ovulation. I suspect it will be about 2 weeks from now but could be sooner. Can't use LH strips as they are all blazing positive due to HCG. When I got pregnant with my son I ovulated about 4 days after a blood test said my HCG was 35ish so doesn't have to return to normal. Il probably wait till the weekend then try DTD every few days. I don’t know what’s going on this month. I usually have egg white CM but i’m super dry. We have BD’d as much as poss in line with my premom app, but my BBT is low too - i’m so confused as it’s been spot on two months straight. I’m hoping maybe it’ll increase over this week and maybe i’m ovulating late. Just going to keep BD until I know either way! Poor OH 🤣🤣

oh no!! Your BBT will stay low before ovulation and go really high the day after 😊 yes yes yes carry on with the BD’ing and then you won’t miss your fertile window

Thanks lovely. Honestly these cycles of mine are so random! I hope it comes soon as i’m desperate to know if this is our month! 😭 had some weird cramping before barely even noticeable but maybe that means it’s due to come tomorrow! xx

Fingers crossed for you!! My cycle is pretty regular with ovulation between CD14-16 usually, but I was a day late this month and have ovulation put as CD 17 with temps. Our bodies do like to trick us so it seems 😂. Throwing every single symptom possible at us during the TWW and then AF turning up regardless, fingers crossed this is our month ☺️

I have egg white this morn! So we have BD 4 days straight, inc today & tomorrow so hopefully 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 hoping for you sweet pea! Please let this be our month 😭😭🤍🤍

I know! I have been ready for a while mentally, but we wanted to get some things in order before we started trying and go on a final holiday just us two. When we started trying I knew it could take 12 months, for a healthy couple with no problems.. and yet here I am cycle 2 begging for my BFP to arrive 🙈 I just want it sooo bad!!

I think it’s so funny we’re on the same cycle and same ovu timing haha!
We are totally the same - bought our house in Feb and whilst i’ve been ready years, my partner was ready a few months ago. Here we are! Cycle 2! Xx

Did you test early last cycle? I found myself testing from 8DPO (sometimes twice a day! 😂🙈) hoping to delay my testing this time and wait until the day before AF is due!

Yes first baby! And yes… I was obsessive with it. I tested twice a day from probly the same 8/9DPO. I’ve saved a digi clear blue set that I bought with my mam when I was last home.. sounds silly but i’m keeping it to tell us we’re ‘x weeks’ once i’ve done a few cheapies as it feels like of special to use the one I got with her haha. Ive bought a few cheap ones but literally a pack of 5 so going to wait until 10dpo this time and see. I just hope its our month but i’m really trying to be chill. I feel like growing up you were told that you just needed to do the deed and magic…. Now I feel like there’s such a small window and as i’m 32 on Saturday it feels less like time is on our side! xxx

I’ve been obsessive with all my testing/tracking tbh!! I get really caught up in it. One of my least favourite qualities about myself 🤣 I really get consumed!

Awww that’s nice! I feel like a digital makes it feel more real too, seeing the word “pregnant”.. I’ve got one in my drawer I’m saving too for once I’ve had a positive on the cheaper ones.

You’re so right!! For years were scared into being on contraception so we don’t get pregnant or to control periods.. yet actually getting pregnant is not easy.

I feel you, we’re 30 but I just think what if we do have problems and we’ve left it later than others? All my friends had babies around a year or two ago still in their 20’s. It’s a real scary subconscious thought I have, and I really hope it’s for nothing and that a positive test proves me wrong 😊

Completely get this! I’ve been thinking about how some of my friends have 6-7 year olds and done, i’m in month 2 of my first 😂 I feel like this month we’re capturing the window.. last month we did our best. Going to give it until march next year and if nothing happens we’ll have some tests completed privately to see whether there’s an unknown factor. I know they say it can take a year for a healthy couple but I don’t want to leave it until Next Oct and risk losing months we could have prevented! xx

I think we did capture part of the window, but all the testing/tracking made me question what was reliable as I got clear blue static CD13 (most fertile 48hrs) along with first positive OPK, then CD15 I saw “peak” on my OPK according to pre mom, by CD16 they were negative but my BBT has confirmed ovulation for CD17.. so in my head I thought CD16 would defo be ovulation, but my temp has dropped that morning and rose a lot morning of CD17. So we covered CD13-16 but CD17 we was busy so never got chance. Hopefully the other 3 days will have done the job 🤞

Yeah I’m there with you in relation to the private tests if it doesn’t happen in 6 months. Are you based in the UK?

Think i’ve had a delayed ovulation tbh! As my BBT has been super low, but with CM today I reckon tomorrow i’ll have an increase indicating it’s later than the app told me!

@JW24M least you’ve managed to find it!! This is where LH testing is useful as otherwise you’d just have assumed your ovulation would have been whenever it typically happens, go through the headache of being late but no BFP and feel really down!

ahhh okay. I only asked as you mentioned the private testing, the NHS waitlist/referrals is meant to be crazy long which is why we have said after 6 months of trying if no success we will look privately at our options. One of my work colleagues waited 20 months for an appointment with the NHS😞 luckily for her she fell on naturally just after the appointment but still, how long and torturous. Don’t think I have that kind of patience in me

I found out my sister was pregnant last week so really hoping now I get my BFP before Xmas so we can go through it together!

ALSOOOOO random but I just watched a tiktok where on premom you can edit the colours of your LH test to match what you can see rather than the app trying - it’s a game changer! What I saw being dark in the photo it wasn’t logging as over 0.19! When I matched the colour to the scale it was 0.56! My test hasn’t gone darker than the control which is why I was confused about ovulating but it’s a high number so must be close! I am unsure if you already use premom but worth shouting about incase anyone else does! You just swipe the test right and press on the pencil (near the high/low bit) xx

Premom has had me a good’un this month! Just now did LH as my cm hasn’t been as EW as i’d expected and low and behold i’ve got a 95! So my apps changed my window ffs LOL. Lord all that extra BD was just the warm up 😂😂😂 but im glad I know where I stand now and it’s just been slightly delayed xx
