TTC for those taking longer than average ✨

I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

@Marie1990x fingers crossed for you ! I have spent so much money on tests 🥲 and now thinking of adding PDG test to the mix

It’s crazy how much we throw away on these tests isn’t it. Dread to think how much I’ve spent in the last year. So I’m going to try and keep strong 💪🏼. I’ve got plenty of cheapies to scratch the itch x

@adventurer99 what dpo are you? I think the tests said to do it with FMU ( though mine were negative with both FMU and in the evening). It s probably a good shout anyway to phone drs. I'm certainly glad I started the process now. Even though I'm certain I'll be met with "it's low but there nothing we can do about it" when there sure is.

7DPO and day 21 of my cycle so wanted to do it on the correct day, will definitely do again in the morning though.

All forums and people only seem to say the docs just fob you off 😭😩 which is exactly what they have for years with this heavy mid cycle bleeds!

I've got my HSG booked in for tomorrow. Whilst I started off being incredibly excited about it, I am slowly dreading it now. Hopefully it all goes well 💖

Is anyone else taking the procieve max sachets, I find they're tasting worse everyday instead of getting used to them!

We started taking them a few months ago and I still can't believe how costly they are . I think that's what I taste when I have them 😅

They're ridiculous aren't they and they make me gag, I don't like anything that tastes of orange right now! If they work it'd be so worth it but it may just be expensive and disgusting for nothing!

@MaybeItsJustTimeToStop each time AF shows I curse the damn thing.

Don't be worrying it will be over quick! And a lot of women have enhanced fertility after it because it flushes the tubes out 🙌

@Daniki I hope really hope it does improve fertility. I'm down to one tube after my ectopic pregnancy in June 22. I'll remain hopeful 💖

How are you getting on ?

So I'm 12DPO today, AF isn't due until next Monday. Was feeling hopeful until I tested today and it was negative. I know it could be too early especially since I have a 16 day luteal phase but feeling a bit down about it all today. This is our 11th cycle trying so far.

hey everyone. Is it ok to join? I used to be on these boards but took a break for a long time (6 months) as i was getting too upset by this all. I sadly still recognize some names @Favofit and @curliegirlie sorry you are still on here.

I think i have very similar stories to you both - I had an mmc in April 2022 and have had zero luck since. We are now on ivf waitlist so slowly coming to terms with that and in meantime continuing the depressing cycle of trying every month (or when I can face it, we’ve been taking quite a bit of time off here and there).

I'm sorry to hear you're still trying after all this time. It really is all consuming and disheartening but I'm holding on hope. I'm so sorry for your loss . Hopefully you're not on the waiting list too long or you get your BFP naturally 💖

Not yet but I have just done my HSG test this afternoon and should be ovulating next week. The test was really unpleasant but it confirmed that my tube isn't blocked. I'm still waiting for the full report but already feel more hopeful and massively relieved

@Favofit oh thats good news that it isn't blocked, hope you get more answers when you get the full report.

Im currently 1/2 dpo so still got a wait. Not feeling very hopeful. But hoping that it will finally be our month 🤞🏻

Hello @RRAEE I have been pretty quiet on here as I have been quite upset since the chemical last month, but I am also now in the two week wait. I had the strongest opk I’ve ever had on Monday and we managed to have sex on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (am and pm!!), Monday and Wednesday! Was a bit gutted that we missed Tuesday but we were absolutely exhausted. Already think I’m out 😂 Got a GP appointment next week to hopefully get things rolling with tests. That ended up a big rant. How many DPO are you?

@Favofit that's great news about your scan, and I’ve read lots of people on here saying they were very fertile after this.

DTD so much is so exhausting as well as all the mental side of it all. I hope you are doing better and i hope the docs help when you do finally go.

Im planning on calling as well if it doesn't happen this month to start getting the ball rolling.

@RRAEE it sounds so simple to have a lot of sex but it’s hard 😂 between work, life and a 4 year
old we hardly have any time!
I think it’s worth calling, it’s cycle 10 but that’s since my miscarriage so I feel I’m justified in calling. How long have you been trying? X

I was so relieved, cried a lot before it even started as I was dreading the result. The whole experience was quite painful and unpleasant but I kept thinking this could bring me closer to a BFP.

@Shortcake06 we are cycle 6/7 now but haven't used protection in over 13mnths now. So we are starting worry a bit as we assumed would of happened by now.

@Favofit sounds horrible but its all worth it if you get answers and eventually your BFP.
