I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Thanks guys. I think I'll see how this cycle and maybe next goes and then call and see.

It sucks we are all in the same boat but at the same time its good that we all understand what it feels like and have people to take to.

Hopefully this month a few of us get our BFPs

I’m trying to stay positive but I’m really struggling today. I don’t understand why this is happening to me ☹️.

@YaWeeFurryBastard I think we all get those cycles, because it's such a frustrating time especially to see people everywhere getting pregnant and all you keep getting is negative tests! I swear Ive seen more celebs announce their pregnancies in the last few months 🙈 and iv noticed a lot have had to have help like IVF etc

How are you feeling @YaWeeFurryBastard @RRAEE @Daniki ? Anyone had any luck? I tested today and got a bfn. I feel like it’s never gonna happen. All the AF symptoms also digs the knife in xx

@LK2610 how many dpo are ya now? I'm still early only 5dpo!

Im now CD 6 after the chemical pregnancy. Was like an extremely heavy period. This hit me hard and felt really cruel. I have made an appointment with my GP to try and get the ball rolling with investigations. To be honest I probably need to discuss how low I’m feeling about this just as much.

@Shortcake06 ah sorry to hear it's been tough, it is a rough time ❤️ defo recommend meeting with your GP to get the ball rolling, it will put your mind at ease too! Go easy on yourself x

I had a night of comedy tonight and feel slightly more optimistic tonight.

For anyone ttc no.2, has the age gap ever worried you?
DS is now 4 and we're on cycle 5... Not a hint at a positive so far.

My fear, actual fear, is that I've failed him because the gap will be too big 😔

@LindyMoe i feel the exact same. My child is 4 and I’m on month 10 with two losses in the past year 😔
What I remind myself is how important having a sibling is throughout their life. I think of when they are grown up and the relationship I have with my adult siblings and how important that is to me now.

@LindyMoe completely feel you. My daughter is nearly 3 and we’ve been trying pretty much a year now with absolutely nothing. My cycles are getting more and more irregular and I’m so sad that she may never get a sibling

We were meant to start trying last year but I lost my mother so threw that to the side.

Just hoping things happen when they're meant to... But soon! 😉

@Marie1990x may I ask how your cycles are getting irregular?

Do you know why? Reason I ask is that I want to start taking vitamins and folic acid to see if that will help but also worried about it changing things.

@LindyMoe they’re quite unpredictable. Every cycle recently seems to be a different length. They always used to be 32 days, now they’ve crept up to 37. But then I’d randomly get a 28 day cycle and anything in between.
I think I still ovulate, as I get peaks and ovulation cramps, but who knows!

I have PCO but apparently not PCOS, but I feel like it may have progressed to PCOS given the weird cycle patterns.

I started taking folic acid a couple of cycles ago, doesn’t seem to be helping me but I can’t see it doing any harm so worth a shot!

@LindyMoe @Shortcake06 yes I'm the same, my son was 3 in April and I can feel the age gap creeping along! Also have had 2 miscarriages& 2 chemicals, it's so frustrating! 😩

@LindyMoe if you take nothing else make sure you are taking folic acid. It won’t mess with your cycles but is really important for the healthy development of a baby’s nervous system x

Myself and DW were trying for 5 years before we went to get help... Ended up doing a run of IVF and catching 1st time but if it's taking a bit too long id just get the ball rolling as we had to wait over a year to get the process started including weight loss and maintenance.

We wanted to be parents in our late 20s and ended up being mid 30s which has been fine but I wish I had a bit more energy sometimes :D

I wasn’t going to track with OPK’s this month, but curiosity got the better of me as I started with my typical pre ovulation symptoms, and I’m so glad I did. I haven’t had a line this dark this early for me (CD16) since we started TTC a year ago. It’s usually on average CD25! Also attached last month’s CD16 test for reference of what it’s usually like.

I know it’s not positive yet, but usually when it’s like this I get a peak the same day, so will test later.

Hoping I get my peak, as we just so happened to have DTD the last 3 nights 🤞🏻.

I did 2 as I thought it might be a dud 😂

@Marie1990x that looks very nearly positive! When I get one like that it’s normally very positive by evening so I think ovulation is imminent! Great timing too as you sound like you have it well covered!

Im CD 8 after the chemical so will start doing LH tests in the next few days. Also ordered more preseed off Amazon. Plan to do the same as I did last month as we conceived albeit unsuccessfully. Preseed and daily sex for 7 days around my fertile week. Praying that this is my month.

I’m just waiting for my period to start now after the usual negative tests 🙄. Hope everyone is doing ok!

When is AF due ? Could still be a chance . I'm desperately trying to enjoy the good weather, it's hard . Feel deflated to be honest

@Shortcake06 same for me so hopefully stronger by this evening. I’m having ovulation cramps too and a lot of cm (sorry tmi). It’s such a relief not having to wait until CD25 for it. Feel like I’ve got 9 days of my life back 😂.

I really hope it’s your month after your chemical 😔. Sounds like a good plan sticking to what worked last time, everything crossed for a sticky bean for you.

It’s due today (11dpo) but got all the usual symptoms!

I’m sorry @Favofit I’m the same, it feels like all the joy has been taken from this now and I’ll just be relieved if I get a positive as opposed to elated.

Sounds like there's still a chance for you if AF due today. I don't think everyone gets BFP before they are actually due. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you ❤️

I knew my high opk today was too good to be true. I did another a few hours ago and was the same, just done another now and it’s lighter. I guess my body was gearing up to ovulate but didn’t. Weird as I had the cramps and cm 😣
