Anyone want to join? I'm going insane!! I'm not sure whether it's because it will be our last chance to have a baby in 2024 or that this is our 5th cycle so if AF comes it then marks half a year of trying, but I'm struggling this cycle. Need distraction! Lol

Keep positive. I was several days “late” due to delayed ovulation (despite positive OPK on CD14 - think I ovulated again with second surge) xx

This might be invisible on here but I can see a faint line in real life at 10 dpo. Will have to wait to see if it's one of those evaps everyone else talks about!

Can still barely see a line on the cheap strips but an early digital clearblue is saying this is ON. Had a pack sent over from Boots via Deliveroo a few minutes ago (just that in the bag, like a maniac). Very aware of higher miscarriage stats for my age group so will keep realistic about this but for the moment I am amazed my body can actually do it. First ever time pregnant.

@ToeBeans24 thank you!! I honestly feel totally bewildered. Have been so focused on the conception part without once properly considering what's next in anything other than an abstact way.

Haven't told my partner yet! Waiting till he gets home.

Im ok thanks. I’m in the anxious wait between 12 and 20 week scan which after a previous loss is anxiety provoking. Especially as no movements yet so got nothing to go by !

Had my midwife appt yesterday tho and she checked the heartbeat which was beautiful 🥹

Im just over 15 weeks now! Feel tired still but glad the nausea has subsided and I’m able to eat more options than just packet noodles or carbohydrates 🤣

I waited all day to tell him - I was going to send him a clip of the digital positive sign flashing up and see his reaction in person. But he came home drunk after staying out after work and I was already in bed. I was a bit pissed off so just said "by the way, I'm pregnant" as he was about to go to sleep, ha. He straight away got really giddy and said he didn't realise how excited he'd feel about being a dad until that exact moment. He's since being saying stuff about future trips to the natural history museum/ all the fun things he's looking forward to etc so I've had to inject some fairly miserable notes of caution about this not yet being a done deal. It would seem way too lucky for a first pregnancy to be ok but praying to the sky.

@sirensong bless. That’s cute that he’s excited and it’s good you’re staying grounded. A little bit of optimism is okay though! Hopefully all will be fine. ☺️ how long have youse been trying? X

@Plumchumm this was my 5th cycle.

An update: I've been told I have a Pregnancy of Unknown Location. ARGH. Went to a walk in EPU yesterday as I had brown spotting and quite bad intermittent cramps. They couldn't see anything in either my uterus or fallopian tubes. They took blood to measure progesterone and HCG and are going to call me with the results/ next steps later today.

I am only 4 weeks and 6 days today by my estimate (so 4 weeks and 5 days yesterday/ 19dpo). That's if I go by when I ovulated rather than last menstrual start date. I understand the gestational sac should be visible from 5 weeks so now I have to hope with everything that the couple of days I am under that has made a critical difference.

Miserable searching through threads on the way home showed that some women with this did later have a visible pregnancy on a scan a week or so later.

The alternatives are miscarriage/failing pregnancy or ectopic. I haven't had a dye stealer but these were my tests yesterday, so the line doesn't seem to be fading.

@sirensong I'm surprised they diagnosed that when it's soo early. You wouldn't normally see anything yet before 5 weeks.

Took me like 9 weeks to be told my pregnancy is ectopic. Very strange. I hope these few days make a difference, it's not the first time they get it wrong. When I first went about my ectopic they said I had miscarried or was never pregnant to begin with! After going back several times they finally decided on ectopic. So they may just be jumping the gun

Just had the call from them.

Blood results: Progesterone 63.5, HCG 507.

They said this was tentatively positive because they wouldn't expect to see anything until HCG is 1000-1500. It would be worse if my level was higher, in other words, as there wouldn't be a good explanation for not being able to see anything. They didn't explain the pain or spotting but not currently miscarrying based on the progesterone level. She also said supplementation not needed because above 60.

Another scan booked in for Thursday to have another look. So stressful. Solidarity with everything you went through @Plumchumm.

As for me, I have been using condoms with my partner to give us a break after the ectopic. But we finally got to a point where we felt ready to try again. And it just so happened that I realised this when I was ovulating! So we've dtd several times making sure to catch my peak day too, and so far my BBT temps are confirming ovulation!

So if temps and OPK strips are anything to go by, I'm 2dpo today. Fingers crossed! Would be a nice surprise 😊

@Plumchumm Really sad news for me unfortunately. At the second scan they said the sac looked irregularly shaped and the pregnancy doesn't look viable. I have another scan in two weeks to check for a heartbeat but it's pretty much a pointless formality and they've said I could miscarry at any point before then. If I don't, I guess I'll have to opt for one of the medical/ surgical management options. The slimmest chance is based on me being wrong about my dates which I'm definitely not.

So I'm somehow supposed to just get on with things for this long waiting period while expecting to miscarry at any given moment. Instead of picking up anything pregnancy related I have to go stockpile super absorbancy pads and painkillers. Utterly bleak. Don't even have any cramping or spotting any more so it kind of makes if even harder to keep remembering I'm totally doomed. Especially with ongoing symptoms like nausea.

EPU were very generous with their time - I was in there for about two hours with the first doctor and two different consultants. I held it together for the duration but my voice did finally start to break when it came up at the end that my partner had arranged to meet me at the hospital and I thought about having to tell him💔

Wondering about calling them to see about earlier management if this is going to be a pointless prolonging of the distress.

Thank you @ToeBeans24. Horrendously, I'm STILL pregnant. My follow up scan last week showed some growth so they wouldn't categorically call it as unviable and start management. The first doctor wanted to but when she checked with the consultant they said wait. So I have yet another scan on Friday for a final check.

Walking around feeling nauseous but completely doomed has been truly dire. And I keep wondering what I should be hoping for - presumably bleeding to just start so I can get this over with ASAP after this drag out and avoid a procedure. But then I wonder about the 1/100,000 chance this is somehow fine. I know it isn't but that's the back and forth confusion.

All spotting and cramps ended weeks ago so I'd have assumed all was great and ended up being one of those poor women who find out at the 12 week scan if I wasn't currently being actively monitored. All lines still very dark.
