@SnookyPook aw congratulations- a little boy 💕 he’ll be the apple of your eye!! Hopefully he catches up with his size - or maybe he will just be on the smaller side? I hope it isn’t a cause for worry on the follow up. Stay positive xxx

@LeeMarie yay congratulations!!

@MOGMOGMOG85 thank you! Just coming up to 6 weeks and the nausea is kicking in on top of the fatigue… I had about a week of feeling OK and tried to get a bunch done in preparation but early pregnancy is never a walk in the park! So much worry too, I think it’s hard not to especially after loss and/or if it has taken a while to get to this point.

Bumblebee413 · 31/03/2024 22:29

Huge Congratulations @MOGMOGMOG85!!! So wonderful to read. Come on little bean ❤️

Congratulations @LeeMarie!

So lovely to hear that you’re expecting a little boy @SnookyPook. The anxiety is completely understandable- it always feels so close to the surface in pregnancy as the cargo is so very, very precious. Hope that your appointment comes through soon and that it is reassuring xxx

Lalaland13 · 01/04/2024 08:38

Awh little boys are lush - my little man is just 2 and he is so cuddly at the mo! But a bit wild 😂 congrats @SnookyPook

Oh and congrats @MOGMOGMOG85 amazing news!! Got it all crossed for a smooth journey!

It does seem once you almost give up hope it happens!

Sorry AF came @Xxfifixx89 but hope you’ve had a lovely birthday long weekend!

Hope everyone enjoying the long weekend and Easter!

Lalaland13 · 01/04/2024 08:40

Ohh and congrats @LeeMarie ! Too many BFP to keep up with!

i am trying to figure out what supplements to take - B12, vit D, zinc? What form do people take? I’m a bit nervous to introduce too much at once. I saw Floradix liquid and wondered if that any good? TBH I feel constantly tired so hoping some vits will help that too!

Zinc is very good for cycles and fertility _ fertility specialists will tell you that too

Vit d is good for reducing miscarriage risk in over 35s

If u eat jacket potatoes 3 x a week
And have eggs

  • you may not need b12
Lalaland13 · 01/04/2024 09:11

I don’t eat eggs - no allergy or anything I just can’t stand the smell! Bad as I don’t give my son also - we all eat the same generally.

i do love a jacket potato though!

ButItHasCheese · 01/04/2024 09:33

Loving all these BFPs - what great news. Hoping they're all sticky beans!!

worldwidetravel2017 · 01/04/2024 12:02

We are in our ovulation window but flying later today..
Tried today - yest - sat .
And will tomo

MOGMOGMOG85 · 01/04/2024 15:37

@LeeMarie wow so you got your bfp just before ivf too? Crossing everything for us. As for the cramping - I remember that with my son went on for months. I think he was just settling in. Harsh as it sounds there really is no way to tell if your pregnancy is going to stick from symptoms. I remember with my MMC my boobs hurt me so so much and I didn't even get a twinge the whole way through with my son, which really freaked me out. As I've heard it every pregnancy is different so please try not to read into stuff (although I know how crass that sounds after the journey you've had) xx

I also had about 7 bleeding episodes with my son 1st trimester- one with clots. All for nothing. MMC didn't bleed at all until a month after the embryo had died so go figure.

We can just focus on the here and now and the first trimester is a bitch for waiting around... I'd recommend you invest in something you can really distract yourself with. With my son (rainbow baby) I was furlough and confined to the house so I splashed out on computer games to zone out and totally forget I was pregnant...

Sending lots of love and luck - for both of us!

I also used to love receiving babydust from mumsnetters on these kinda threads so I'm sincerely throwing it out for myself and to all of you on here xxxxx

CurlyWurly1991 · 01/04/2024 16:04

@MOGMOGMOG85 those are wise words about distraction being the only way through the first trimester. I feel like I need some projects to keep me from
obsessing about whether I am losing symptoms/are those cramps concerning/etc. Like you say it is essentially meaningless and it is out of our hands.
Maybe I should get into video games?! I have a craft project I’m working on but fatigue and nausea is starting to get in the way a bit. Trying to do a lot of cooking projects with my DD but finding my energy is a bit of a hindrance at the moment. Maybe knitting or crochet…

LeeMarie · 01/04/2024 16:17

Thank you @MOGMOGMOG85
Yes we had a few delays with tests etc and still awaiting some results. I think everything happens for a reason.

Your advice has helped thank you and I'm back at work this week along with a part time uni course due to finish in May so that will keep me busy!

Good luck with everything and keep us posted. It's so lovely to see everyone's progress and advice xx

Xxfifixx89 · 01/04/2024 20:44

Thank you @Lalaland13 iv had a great drunken weekend🤣 now back to CD3 and the start of another month🤦🏻‍♀️

massive congrats everyone with BFP’s this month xxx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 02/04/2024 07:16

Thanks @ButItHasCheese and @Xxfifixx89 - hoping you get your bfps soon.

@Lalaland13 I started taking proceive max women a few months ago. It's insanely expensive but I really did feel healthier and more energetic for taking it... I also figured it was worth trying that since I was planning on going down the ivf route ie its expensive but not that expensive! It's got everything you need in there xx

Woken up feeling really anxious, no nausea so far, sore boobs but not right this second. Its so easy to tell others "oh try not to symptom spot, it means nothing" but the reality is I'm all in with this pregnancy now, I want it so much :( 4+4 - such an insanely long way to go :(

MOGMOGMOG85 · 02/04/2024 07:19

@CurlyWurly1991 let me know if you find the magic distraction! My last pregnancy I was childless and I could fill my time how I wanted! They are definitely tiring! I'm on holiday atm and in a way I'd prefer to be at work - out the door at 6.30am and no time to think... anyway we are on our way to Peter rabbit world today, that should be lovely xxx

Lalaland13 · 02/04/2024 18:25

Thanks @MOGMOGMOG85 - I get prescribed high dose folic acid so not sure can take procieve too.. hmm. So hard to know and don’t want to mess up cycle m! I ordered zinc, B12 and D from Holland and Barrett.

I am about CD 7 now… not sure what strategy to follow this month! The hubby is busy.. but can be about a bit. Might just try day before ovulation per app
and day of ovulation?! So hard to know and we only have so much energy !!

sounds like you covered all bases @worldwidetravel2017 hope you had a fabulous holiday!

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/04/2024 20:01

Thank you

Its weird - when i was pregnant briefly befofe - i remember aug bank hol wkend - walking and having a tight chest..

I took a short walk to the local shop and back this eve - had a weird / kinda tight chest again

Who knows though

Aside from that / anyway..

I have an appt this month with hertility health - a hormone and fertility advisor

Im awaiting a phonecall appt with NHS gynae which is likely to be next week

Awaiting histology of my latest colonoscopy / polyp biopsies.

Already been told il need another colonoscopy / follow up - that's based alone on the number they removed last time...

Also next week have a private appt with a consultant dr privately re my private progsterone results - - just to run the cycle days / numbers by them..

Lots going on

Dreams aside - have two gigs this month to loook forward to
And one next month

Hows everyone else ?

Some mumsneters have advised me to get my fibroid removed

Wondering if anyone else currently trying has a known fibroid ?

I know fibroids don't like celery - - not guna lie - today i bought celery lol

ThingsLineUp · 02/04/2024 21:46

I've got quite a few fibroids including a couple on the larger side which my gyn has said could affect my fertility. I was advised to try for six months and then think about a myomectomy if I don't conceive.

Have you had your fibroids mapped? Really depends on where and how big as to whether there's an affect on fertility or not, plenty don't cause any issues at all.

Gorgeous holiday snaps!

Lalaland13 · 02/04/2024 21:50

Sorry no fibroids advice @worldwidetravel2017 but lovely pics! Those blue skies 🥰

Mrsspoon3 · 02/04/2024 22:32

Hey everyone! Not been on here for a while as I’ve been sort of protecting myself from reading about anyone else’s pregnancies and scans (although I’m super happy for everyone who is currently pregnant 💗) after losing my baby at 13 weeks pregnant in January, as I’ve not really been strong enough to be around all those conversations yet. But I’m starting to feel a little better and also we’ll be trying again this cycle (only on day 3 of this cycle and normally ovulate around day 19 so still feels a long way off!) so feeling a bit hopeful yet terrified for that.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and check myself into this thread. Hope everyone is doing ok x

MOGMOGMOG85 · 03/04/2024 06:06

@worldwidetravel2017 it definitely depends where your fibroids are. They should advise you whether they affect fertility or not. When trying for my son I discovered I had innumerable fibroids (they literally said they couldn't count them) including 1 16cm one, 1 8cm and 1 5cm. They said they wouldn't affect fertility but I was suspicious af cos it took us so long. Then I had an MMC and I was even more convinced it was the fibroids. Then had my son. So they were right, the fibroids did not impact fertility in my case, as alarming as it was to find out about them.

@Mrsspoon3 welcome back and I'm so sorry for your loss :( good luck this month and I'm glad your feeling a bit better - enough to come back on. I dipped in and out the last 19 months whilst trying, and I'm suddenly really active now I've conceived as I'm so terrified its not going to work out. It's totally fine to come and go though xx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 03/04/2024 06:13

@SnookyPook I seem to have missed your reply. Massive congrats on your little boy! How stressful to hear he is small.. as others say they do get this wrong in the scans.. they totally missed my sons size. Also to add I have a couple of friends with very small children who periodically would fall off the centile chart and then catch up a bit and nothing clinically wrong with them xx

SnookyPook · 03/04/2024 09:38

Thanks @MOGMOGMOG85 it was initially a scare but I'm feeling a bit better now I've processed it more. My son was 5th centile when he was born which I don't think I ever properly processed in the new mum haze. He has been perfect and at his 2 1/2 year development review was 90th centile for height!! He was 50th centile for everything at 20wks which is probably why it never flagged for him but clearly his growth must have slowed at some point. This one may just have a different trajectory with similar outcome I guess. Anyway, trying to keep call until we know more from next scan!
