@JC084 so glad to hear they looked after you well and that you will get some more assessments soon.

Thanks for adding to the new thread! I'm on cycle day 6 and usually ovulate day 14 but decided not to do any testing or BBT this month.

We both have one each from previous relationships with shared custody with our ex's so it'd be a challenge if I was due over the holidays and I don't want to miss Christmas with them!

So not actively trying this cycle, and enjoying a break from the tests and morning temperature checks!

I started on procieve this cycle too - it's expensive but caved and hoping it makes a difference!

Daniki · 20/03/2024 11:38

@worldwidetravel2017 good luck tomorrow, colonoscopy? Iv had so many, ask any questions if you need!

@JC084 glad all went ok, hope you're not feeling too bad. I hope you're not long waiting for an app in the RMC x

Tentatively joining this thread as I'm due to get my implant out in a week or so's time ready to start TTC our second...

@Xxfifixx89 Super interested to hear how you get on with the Proov, let us know! I looked into those when I was TTC first time round but think at that point they were only available in the US.

@blackberryhill I will update the thread at the weekend, i have to start taking them saturday for 4 days and need at least 3/4 to be positive… my baseline test was really dark two lines so will be interesting to actually just see 1 line to confirm positive tests.

LegoBear84 · 20/03/2024 12:13

Can I join please?
TTC number 2, have a 5 year and I recently turned 40 so hoping haven't left it too late.
Been trying for a few months.
Currently on CD34 with no sign of AF and 2 BFN (Sunday and Tuesday) so not sure what's going on. I don't track ovulation using OPKs but am aware of changes in my CM.

SnookyPook · 20/03/2024 12:54

@JC084 glad it went well and hope you're doing as ok as can be. Fingers crossed it won't be a long wait for RMC and be interesting to see what the tissue analysis suggests too. Hopefully some answers and hope for you soon.

@worldwidetravel2017 hope all goes well! Soon be another thing ticked off your list 👍🏼

@LegoBear84 welcome! Aw one of my friends had her DD at 41 and all was fine so hopefully you've still got time 😊 It's frustrating when AF doesn't show as expected but you get the BFNs. Do you think you might try opks to help pinpoint ovulation with more certainty in coming cycles?

worldwidetravel2017 · 20/03/2024 13:13

Thanks guys

Bbt is a good way for you to look @ ovulation

Or basically a day or two after ovulation discharge...

Trying for a month without pressure - without ovulation testing & just baby dancing when u feel like it works 4some

jellyfish2210 · 20/03/2024 13:54

And I'm out! AF arrived. Taking a break next cycle, we both need it! These cycles since my CP at Christmas have been particularly rough on my mental health. I need a break from it

So sorry to hear

Take good care

A break sounds wise

When we had our early miscarriage - gynae told us to relax and go on hols. Other health stuff / life stuff got in the way but we have the hol soon

Maybe plan a wkend away or hol..

I cant keep up with whos had what re testing but if you reach a point where youd like some nhs stuff - very happy to roll off the list of stuff they offer / stuff ive had etc

Be kind to you

Have u ever used hertility health ?
Or had your amh tested ?

Hertility health 150 gbp
Private hormone and fertility testing could be helpful for you

I used it just 4 an eye opener / to check all was ok in the past

Was money well spent - peace of mind

Sending you all the luck

I just had a 34 day cycle.

worldwidetravel2017 · 20/03/2024 14:47

Fyi any1 who doesnt wana use ov strips - tommys baby charity ovulation calculator works well

Lalaland13 · 20/03/2024 15:50

Oh so sorry @jellyfish2210 - enjoy a wine tonight. Take a break and have some time to recoup. It’s really hard on you having this emotional turmoil. Sending hugs.

Hope all goes well tomorrow @worldwidetravel2017 - oh and I wouldn’t struggle not to eat for that long!! Hope thr final meal was a good one

worldwidetravel2017 · 20/03/2024 16:07

Thanks

Tmi - look away now if u dont like bowel talk...

Earlier this month - had some blood when wiping after a num2

Went to walk in

A female gp basically physically examined me

As a minimum due to that blood / that day - she said i have a skin tag - polyp or haemoroid
.

Given my previous colonoscopy history - i wont be surprised if more polyps

VixFromThe6ix · 20/03/2024 16:30

@worldwidetravel2017 hey love, is the plan to still start TTC in April? I missed a few posts in the last thread so not sure if you spoke about it

@SnookyPook yes I think I may well start properly tracking ovulation once this cycle ends 🤦‍♀️
My cycle has mostly been 30/31 days for the last couple of years but I think I had a CP back in January and since then I've had a cycle of 28 days and now this longer one.

@worldwidetravel2017 thanks, I might have a look into that, I've not had any fertility tests before. I was very lucky with my little boy and it only took us 3 cycles to conceive but that was 6 years ago!!

Bumblebee413 · 20/03/2024 19:47

I’m glad it went as well as it could emotionally yesterday @JC084. How are you feeling today?

I’m sorry @jellyfish2210. Well done on making that positive decision for you to have a break. It can feel so pressured sometimes and it can be really hard to have the confidence to step away. So knowing that you are prioritising your wellbeing is such a strong decision, which is hard to do when you feel so drained x

Sending you lots of hope and luck for tomorrow @worldwidetravel2017 x

jellyfish2210 · 20/03/2024 20:05

We got DD off to bed tonight and the pair us stood and cried in the kitchen. We both really felt like this was going to be the month. We both agree that we need to take a break from actively trying. No testing and no talk of ovulation. DH is heading into a really busy few weeks of work so chances are we will both be too tired to DTD anyway. Takes the pressure off and we both very much agree it's the right thing for us.

Thanks all for being so lovely. I don't really have anyone I can talk to about all this. Appreciate you all x

Hello all, another newbie joining the thread - 36 and on cycle 3 of TTC#1 👋

I used Proov pdg strips last cycle @Xxfifixx89 @blackberryhill. I found them pretty straightforward to use along with the app which confirmed ovulation however did say my progesterone was on the lower end. I didn't do the baseline though to be fair so not confident of that assessment. Not sure I'd buy again as they're quite pricey and I've started tracking BBT to confirm ovulation. But definitely glad that I tried them out.

thanks for letting me know, how many DPO are you? Did a faint 2nd line come up for you then? I got my baseline and 2 lines clear as mud so it will be interesting to see if the 2nd line disappears at the weekend when I start x

Interesting, thanks! I'm tempted to give them a go once my cycle returns just to see what's going on - last time round my luteal phase was consistently short (10 days) and I suspect that low progesterone was the cause. I'm preemptively taking high dose vitamins to lengthen it so would be good to try these for one cycle and see if it's helped at all, but they're too pricey to be a regular addition I think.

Xxfifixx89 · 21/03/2024 07:20

@ThingsLineUp i have included my baseline pic, what was yours looking like in the testing stage from day 7? I start mine on Saturday xx
