I did my hertility test this morning so look forward to getting my results. I've also started taking coq10. I'm planning to take 400 a day, divided into two doses at breakfast/lunch.

jellyfish2210 · 10/06/2024 18:52

I think I'm 9-10 dpo but because I have missed my last two periods then I'm not actually sure. This is cycle day 83. I did do a couple ovulation tests which showed the end of a peak LH surge. I tried not to get my hopes up but now I'm full on symptom spotting and desperately trying to stop getting my hopes up!!

MisssMarion · 10/06/2024 18:58

Are some of you using proceive or cq10? Any feedback? Pros/cons?
We've been trying for 6 months now, although technically 4 cycles as I did get pregnant on the second cycle and had a MMC. I'm wondering what I could do to help my aging body conceive... I'm desperate for baby #2, preferably before turning 40...

RememberZen · 10/06/2024 19:13

Does this look like peak lh? The % seems low, my tests don't seem to get darker than this. Try to decide wether to dtd when I get back from work or leave until tomorrow as we dtd yesterday. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I've just started taking 150 coq10, so I don't have feedback as of yet. Some say it delays ovulation, but I guess it varies from person to person. I'll do anything to better my eggs, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm on cycle 4 too, and same, got pregnant on cycle too but ended also in a loss at 9 weeks. I'm 40 in November, trying for baby number 1. I hope you get your bfp soon! 🙏

I hope the results help you get there quicker! It seems everyone is jumping on the coq10 train haha same here, just started 150 a day, will probably increase if it doesn't affect my cycle negatively.

I started on CoQ10 early September after a second loss. Had a third loss immediately after the second but then got a BFP end of Nov and currently 31wks pregnant ☺️ I'm 38. Can't say for sure that was the reason but can't have hurt - they say it takes 2-3 months to impact the eggs due to ripening time etc 🤷🏼‍♀️ Best of luck!

CD2 here after a 9 day luteal phase, but I've just got my progesterone test results back from my last cycle and not only are they not low, they seem to be weirdly high - 86.2nmol/l (top of the typical reference range is 46.3nmol/l). Definitely not pregnant - tests are stark white - but don't really know what to do with this information. I'm tempted to re-test in my follicular phase this cycle just to make sure my levels are back to normal and it's not a sign of an adrenal issue or cyst or any of the other slightly scary things that Google brings up when you search 'high progesterone not pregnant'...

Adrenal issues can be checked with synatchen test - i had that test

Have u ever had a 9 am cortisol test ? - my advice is to ask for that -

  • result of that will mean if u get an nhs synatchen test or not

Some foods raise progesterone - do u eat a lot of salmon ? Nuts ? Avocado ?

Thanks - not taken any of these tests and hadn't occurred to me that I might have issues with this. I've just remembered that I have a few Proov progesterone tests left, just taken one and got a negative (two clear dark lines) result so hopefully it was just a wacky ovulation or something. I think I'll check my levels again this cycle and if I'm still getting unusual results I'll follow up with the GP.

Thanks so much for l the lovely messages. I’ve definitely lost the baby now. I took my temperature this morning and it had dropped, then did a test and it’s super faint. I’ve attached a photo of my test yesterday (the darker one) vs today.

I knew something was wrong so shouldn’t have been surprised today, but somehow I still was. Really hoped to see an even darker line. I guess I will start bleeding in next few days.

This has been the hardest yet of all my miscarriages (this is 5th one), even harder than last time I think, because I’ve had 3 back-to-back (a chemical, a partial molar and now this) and I think all the sadness and lost hope has just added together. Plus other than my last one, which was really unusual being a molar, I’ve never had a pregnancy last this long and lost it, it’s normally only a few days after a positive test. This one has lasted 2 weeks now so I really got my hopes up, even though simultaneously part of me was worried this wasn’t viable.

Well bfn but at least AF finally arrived. I was CD84 yesterday. No idea why I had such a long cycle! Hopefully my thyroid is now under control and my hormones are returning to "normal"
