@RememberZen hows things? Dya have your hh results ?

worldwidetravel2017 · 31/05/2024 13:30

We have our joint fertility appt next week

Have actively been trying this cycle but wont know til mid june etc...

flowersinthecloud · 31/05/2024 17:01

OnePinkDuck · 27/05/2024 13:08

@RememberZen It can be normal for a slow start to period, give it a day or two. Menopause doesn’t behave like that, they wouldn’t just stop suddenly so try not to worry (I know it’s easier said than done). Try not to dread them, whatever they show at least that’s a starting ground to move forward.

I had a shockingly low AMH on my fertility tests. I was devastated. But this AM I tested positive. Obviously don’t know yet if it will go anywhere, but it just goes to show that regardless of what the tests say you are still in the game!

I started taking proceive max about 3/4 weeks ago, and I know it’s meant to take 3 months to work but I swear that was what made the difference.

Congratulations @OnePinkDuck!

That does give hope as a fellow low AMHer. Can I ask if your FSH was also high? Mine has come back high, which is worrying alongside the low AMH (although it looks like they often go hand in hand). I have also been taking Proceive Max, but so far no luck. Did you take anything else alongside the sachets?

OnePinkDuck · 31/05/2024 17:14

@flowersinthecloud I also took high dose co Q10 an additional 250mg on top of the proceive sachets. I was also about to add in another 500mg vitamin c but obviously haven’t now.

My FSH was normal to be fair. My hormones looked pretty reasonable (oestrogen was a bit low and progesterone a bit high so there was a bit of imbalance there but nothing much), just a very low AMH…..

I was having very short luteal phases which o was quite concerned about. I was going to do D21 bloods but it fell on a weekend this cycle so was going to do it next.

fingers crossed for you!!!

Mrsspoon3 · 31/05/2024 19:06

Thanks @Xxfifixx89 @OnePinkDuck @worldwidetravel2017! 😊
I’m sure it will come to nothing as it’s very faint and also I’ve had a lot of chemicals, but I’m so glad other people can see it!

Congratulations @OnePinkDuck!!

Hoping it’s your month @worldwidetravel2017!

Lalaland13 · 31/05/2024 20:18

I’ve got it all crossed for you @Mrsspoon3 and congrats @OnePinkDuck xxx

Mrsspoon3 · 02/06/2024 07:33

I’m so sad, I’m having another chemical pregnancy! I’ve had 3 days now of super, super faint tests with no progression, which always means a chemical 😢
This is my 3rd miscarriage in a row (a chemical, then a partial molar which ended at 13 weeks, then another chemical first month trying) and 5th overall, and I’m just finding it so hard getting my hopes up only for them to come crashing down again and again!

ButItHasCheese · 02/06/2024 09:46

@Mrsspoon3 I'm so sorry, it must be so disheartening. Please take care of yourself x

SnookyPook · 02/06/2024 10:03

@Mrsspoon3 so sorry to hear that - how disheartening and frustrating for you. With them being CPs have you managed to get them recorded and do you know if you will get follow-up help now? It sounds like there is an issue with implantation which could be something relatively easy to balance for you (progesterone or treating antiphospholipid?) The positive to hold on to is that you are conceiving relatively easily but I know that isn't much comfort when none of them stick. It does suggest a tweak in the process could be really helpful though 🙏🏼 I really hope you get some further investigations and help asap. Sending you lots of love. 💗

Mrsspoon3 · 02/06/2024 10:56

Thanks so much @ButItHasCheese and @SnookyPook! 💗

@SnookyPook I’m actually under the recurrent miscarriage team at the hospital since my last miscarriage, and waiting on an appointment, but they’ve done some blood tests and said the results are all fine. I’m hoping as I’ve had my little boy (he’s just turned 2) and got pregnant fine in October last year (I miscarried but that was at 13 weeks and was not for any physical reason on my part but because it was a partial molar) that all is ok with implantation, and as I’ve never spotted and didn’t even bleed with my miscarriage it seems like all is ok in terms of progesterone.

I’m wondering if it may just be a combination of old eggs (I’m 40 in September) and an unfussy womb. I’ve read about having an unfussy womb, which is just basically where it accepts and implants any old egg whether it’s viable or not, and given I had a partial molar (which would never be viable as it happens when 2 sperm fertilise one egg) and have had so many chemicals, this seems likely. If this is the case, as I’ll undoubtedly have so many low quality eggs at this age, I guess it’s a case of just keeping having chemicals until a good egg comes along 🙈

Can you ask your gp to refer you to tommys miscarriage clinic ?
Have you been seen by nhs fertility?

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/06/2024 11:09

@Mrsspoon3 re eggs and age - are you taking coq10 ?

Ive also read that bone broth helps with egg quality - ive ordered some

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/06/2024 11:12

Very nervous 4 our joint appt tomorrow..

When we had our miscarriage last autumn - we didnt expect to be in this situation

But then there were months we couldnt try due to other health investigations and procedures...

Wont find out for approx maybe 10 - 14 days if weve been lucky this cycle

Taking pcos meds and supplements - this is the first month ive taken them all month / all cycle ( may ) ish

Mrsspoon3 · 02/06/2024 11:31

@worldwidetravel2017 Thank you x
Ive been referred to the miscarriage clinic at the hospital. Not been referred to fertility, I assume as I seem to get pregnant ok. Yeah I’ve been taking ubiquinol (I think a more absorbable form of coq10 as I’m so elderly haha) for ages. I’m veggie so can’t do bone broth unfortunately 😊
Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow!

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/06/2024 11:35

Has your OH ever had a dna fragmentation test ?
Something else i read about the other day

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/06/2024 11:37

Also - things like rubella serology - that are done before ivf - is it worth seeing if you can be tested re rubella serology ?

I guess the older we get - the antibodies from previous jabs may not be there anymore

#long shot

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/06/2024 11:38

I assume your OH has had a recent SA test ?

( issues with sperm can effect miscarriage
Source - tommys )

Mrsspoon3 · 02/06/2024 15:42

@worldwidetravel2017 Thanks! I honestly think it’s just a case of old eggs and so some aren’t viable though. If we hadn’t had a healthy pregnancy I might investigate more, but we had our little boy after 2 or the chemicals so it doesn’t seem like there was any issue causing them, then we managed to get pregnant again after the 3rd chemical and get to 13 weeks (and know the cause of that miscarriage) so I don’t think there’s any real issues causing it. Chemicals are super common, and especially with older mums, so it’s really upsetting and frustrating but I don’t think there’s anything I can do to change it unfortunately x

Mrsspoon3 · 02/06/2024 15:47

@worldwidetravel2017 Also is the rubella serology to test for rubella immunity? As I’ve had rubella (the infection and the jab) so should have lifelong immunity apparently x

Lalaland13 · 02/06/2024 19:49

Sorry to hear this @Mrsspoon3 😢 hoping the right egg comes along super soon for you!

Good luck with appointment tomorrow @worldwidetravel2017 xx

Ah this makes sense - I've heard of unfussy womb before and it would make sense with the experience you've had. Everything crossed for that right egg to come along for you asap 🙏🏼💗

Thanks so much for all the messages and support everyone 💗 So my lines are still super pale, but today I got this! I don’t know what to think and feel a bit sick with anxiety and nerves after all my chemicals and miscarriage, but despite my sensible head telling me to be sensible and it’s not going to work out, I was so excited and happy it said pregnant! Now trying to not think about it at all in case it ends up as a chemical!
