Fingers crossed @Lalaland13 i have tons of white cm today so unsure why and AF due this weekemd🙄

Random one ladies - when you use OPKs and you aren't close to ovulating, do you have a second line and if so how dark is it usually? Taken one this morning (CD5) because this is my first proper cycle so want to see exactly what's going on and there's a clear and decently pink second line - definitely not positive but I'm not having to squint to see it. I'm sure before my OPKs would be almost completely blank until CD10 or 11 so not sure if something has changed for me?

@blackberryhill mine are quite strong lines all the time - the only time they're confirmed as positive is when they're the same or stronger than the control line...
Definitely no squinters thankfully 😂

Thanks @Lalaland13 . I am googling my chances every spare minute but I think clutching at straws as a temp rise indicates I ovulated yesterday? I totally get the nhs advice to DTD every 2 days given the difficulty getting the timing right.

@Xxfifixx89 i tend to get EWCM before AF too. Have you noticed it before at this time or is it unusual for you? When I started looking out for it every month I realised it’s normal for me.

I have quite faint lines on the Ov tests I use @blackberryhill sometimes I won’t even have a second line!

@InWithPeaceOutWithStress i have never had it this bad days before af as i normally dry up eith very little cm… but bfn so might just hormonal or something. Due af sunday so will see🙄

Hmm. Maybe it is a sign of rising progesterone then. Good luck. I find those few days waiting for AF and getting BFNs the most difficult.

Ohh welll I was having extra CM a few days before positive test - i couldn’t remember if was unusual for not. Fingers crossed @Xxfifixx89 - the days waiting to test go so slowwww

@Lalaland13 i was a bit annoyed, we managed to yesterday which two apps had me as ovulation day and one app had me as 1dpo so worth a shot.

@blackberryhill i always get 2 clear lines on opk but it’s only ever dark around ovulation time, and get quite clear surges where it goes darker than control.

so think I’m 1 DPO today. Here comes all the stress of the TWW! Hope everyone’s cycles are going ok

I'm joining the thread please, just started TTC last November, was pregnant by December and had my first miscarriage at nine weeks in February. Took a break March, but just started trying again. I have a feeling it's going to be struggle to get pregnant now, I hope I'm wrong. I'm 39, 40 by the end of the year, I feel such pressure, I really want this.

Have you seen the doctors yet? Im sure over 35 if having trouble you can make an appointment. Im 38 and only on my 2nd month of trying and already feeling deflated so feel for you. Do you have any children yet?

Hi, yes I'd just gone to the doctors the month before I got pregnant. I went back after my miscarriage and the doctor pretty much told me I wasn't eligible for any help now, as I'd gotten pregnant naturally. I'm shocked and heartbroken and yes, definitely deflated by a mile. I am considering going back to the doctors and begging for help, I can't explain how much I want this. No children yet unfortunately. How about you?

Have you asked to be refered to gynae ?
Have you been assessed for pcos?

No, I haven't been referred to anyone. I first went to the doctors, I originally got told how celebrities are having babies later in life now, how this was relevant to me asking for medical help I don't know. I left it two months, we saw a different doctor, who told me I still had plenty of time (bare in mind I was turning 39) he had my partners sperm checked, it came back as 100% poor morphology in the heads, the most important part apparently. So he was about to do a second sperm test on him, before referring me to get checked, then I fell pregnant, only after using at home insemination method. I had my FSH levels tested 7 days before period, which I've been reading up about, and they should be tested on your period? So I'm not sure if they got the correct readings there. I'm really starting to panic now.
I am going to go back next week and push for a referral, before it gets too late, they only offer 3 rounds of IVF in my area before age 40, so that only leaves me with 7 months.

How frustrating, how soon did you start testing? For some reason I ovulated four days early this month, I almost missed it, it can happen.

@RememberZen hope you get the help you need. Someone at 39 with no living children being denied help sounds wild to me. Be pushy if you need to be. I'm not in the UK so I'm not very familiar with how things over there work but this just doesn't sound right.

@OnePinkDuck last time I had it. The line pinged up straight away. This time as soon as I lost all sense of smell and taste I was like yep I bet it's covid again. Went out and got a LFT and sat waiting and I was like oh ok maybe it's not. Then I saw the faintest line and I was like erm ok maybe it is. Then the line became pretty clear. I was on the phone to my Other Half at the time. I was like ooh I got a positive test...on a flaming covid test 😂

Thank you, it helps me hearing that, I feel the same way, I managed to get a doctors appointment in two weeks, I will be adamant and stand my ground this time, I want this too much to just roll over.

Not for nothing but I had 2 MCs (naturally conceived) when we started trying. If I didn't get some help I wouldn't have my son at 38yrs old. And I also wouldn't be pregnant with my second at 40yrs old now.
Sorry that made me angry for you. That's BS. We are fighting against time here. I would have zero patience hearing someone tell me at 39 that I've got time. Go get them girl
