@Daniki What are NMN supplements? They sounds really promising!

blackberryhill · 23/04/2024 10:14

@flowersinthecloud My husband had an SA done when TTC #1 - we had a fertility MOT at a private clinic and this was his sole contribution, so to speak. He hated doing it (on-site in a fairly clinical room) but results were all fine so offered reassurance on that front.

This is the one I use! I take the minimum amount per day 250mg but I think might be worthwhile going up to 500mg. I might get all my bloods/horomone levels checked again to see if there's been any improvement !
My husband had SA and everything fine he motility just a bit under, but I have read a fragmentation test in the best to have as it will actually show if there's an issue!
I attached a link about NMN and also if you search Reddit there's various threads on it there too!

Hope the wedding goes well @Daniki and you get some making time.

I think my tests are going lighter now… they had progressed so well up til today. Hoping will be darker again tomorrow and maybe I was just super dehydrated yesterday and why appears touch darker. Driven me a bit potty! So much work to do but I keep googling!

Hello. Popping back on the thread as I’m back in my fertile window so here we go again..!

I am impressed by all the work you are all putting into this and the collective knowledge is fantastic. I also did a private home AMH test which came back low so relieved to hear that isn’t necessarily a problem.

I have previously bought supplements but I’m rubbish at remembering to take them. Haven’t done any other testing.

I’m 37. OH is 41, he’s quit drinking but is still smoking and it’s a point of contention as I am not happy about this, he hides it from me. It’s usually during his work day when he’s not with me, and is done as stress relief - I find it highly stressful ironically! But who am I to talk as I am not taking the supplements I bought…!

we have no other children and worried it’s too late for us. I wanted lots of kids when I was younger but found life hard, only just now at a point where I feel emotionally, financially well enough to have a child and with a partner who I could have a family with. It’s just taken me too long to get here!

@ 37 - u have time .

Has your OH had any tests ?

I do recommend vit d 1000 iu.or 2000 iu daily
It helps reduce miscarriage in over 35s ..

I also recommend getting your feretin and b12 checked
And if in UK - a full blood count

Sending all the luck

I rate the book -, it starts with an egg

worldwidetravel2017 · 23/04/2024 17:22

Thanks. I do have high strength vit d (and k2) so could aim to get back on that. Yes I’m in the U.K. so could request those tests. My OH hasn’t had tests. He has a wellness / health check up booked in with new GP soon so I’ve asked him to mention that we’ve been trying to conceive for over a year with no luck. I’m hoping they will tackle the smoking too.

You'll need a referral to the fertility clinic for further tests, they'll be able to book you in for a HSG

blood test 4 prolactin
blood test 4 progesterone - 7 days after ovulation...

Also - transvaginal scan to rule out structural / fibroids....

Also -
Hormones..
Shbg
Testosterone
Free androgen
Fsh

Hi there, hope everyone is well. I'm not sure if I'm on the right thread but I've not had a period in 4 months. Backstory...I had a baby boy in December and trying to conceive again as I'm no spring chicken. Without a period i can't ovulate right. And with the December baby, it took over a year to fall pregnant hence i would like to conceive again. I was living abroad for 2 years and I had a gynecologist, here in the UK it takes months if not a year to get properly checked. My gynecologist abroad had prescribed me clomid (I took this in 2021 and with the first cycle of clomid I fell pregnant but 8 weeks later I had a miscarriage.
Can you still take clomid without a period? Anyone been in this situation. I'm yet to speak to my gynecologist but in the meantime would like to know of anyone's experience?
Thanks in advance

Hope the wedding goes well @Daniki and you get some making time.

What dpo are you on now @Lalaland13 ? I would try not to stress, could be diluted urine but also your tests get to a point of darkness and then start to fade again as the pregnancy test has a certain sensitivity!
Thanks, looking forward to it now. Will drink at it anyway, hoping it will relax me and help me 😂 having twinges etc today so think ovulation on way, triggered yest but no EWCM 😕

OnePinkDuck · 23/04/2024 20:10

@Mrsspoon3 really pleased to hear that and glad you got seen nice and quickly as can’t imagine how stressful that wait is.

@Lalaland13 fingers crossed it’s all still early days and will darken up nicely tomorrow.

@flowersinthecloud my AMH is 3.4 at 38. 9 is a pretty decent. The main issues around low AMH is success of ivf which means if struggling and likely too need ivf best to seek out fertility care early, but should still hopefully be able to conceive naturally if all other factors ok.

So my latest dilemma, this month only been able to try once in fertile window on Saturday(which at the time was good timing as predicting ovulation was initially yesterday), but no more opportunities as 2 year old has decided he only wants to sleep in mummy and daddy’s bed. But now not sure where I am in my cycle in relation to ovulation. Got surge on LH strips last night and still the same high level today at 4pm. Flo says I ovulate tomorrow, Apple says I ovulate today, premum says yesterday (i think premum is basing it more around bbt) 🤷‍♀️ not sure if it is worth trying to try again tonight (I suspect little one will have other ideas again regardless 😂)

Lalaland13 · 23/04/2024 21:59

Ohh yeah you got to drink @Daniki hope its fun! Love a good wedding! So bloody confusing all this TTC stuff. Hopefully some EWCM to give some clarity soon. Mine seems to vary but I reckon it’s a lot more in the days prior and actual Ov seems to be less.

I think 15 or 16 dpo, still very early. I think just so paranoid after CP in Jan, hubby thinks am overreacting but it fair bit fainter on all three I did today. Time will tell. Nothing I can do 😢 I seem to be more at peace now though.

What a little monkey @OnePinkDuck does he/she go into own bed at first?! Early night for grownup time?! It’s all so confusing the testing and BBT. I guess if you get chance would be good to get some more sperm 😂😂

Daniki · 24/04/2024 07:21

@Lalaland13 it's very hard being pregnant after a loss, there is so much anxiety and especially after a CP the panic is there. So completely normal! Hope all goes darker tho 🤞🏻

Lalaland13 · 24/04/2024 07:46

It was driving me totally mad yesterday 🤦‍♀️ I was trying to go back through messages in Jan to figure out dates around the CP but obvs no point in that would be totally different!

It is darker this morning than yest 🙌 but I didn’t wee at night or drink! But I guess if ending would still be getting lighter today?! Going to try to relax and ignore now! Prob should just throw them all in the bin… but I won’t!

How are you @Daniki any EWCM?

Daniki · 24/04/2024 09:48

@Lalaland13 oh thats great! Try and step back from the tests now if you can (but if it was me I know I couldn't 😂) and do a digital in a few days? A lot easier seeing "Pregnant" on the screen!
No EWCM still 🤷‍♀️ hope I didn't trigger at the wrong time but sure what will be will be! I don't usually have a massive amount of not anyway compared to when I was younger!

flowersinthecloud · 24/04/2024 10:17

@Lalaland13 sounds really promising, congratulations!

Thanks @OnePinkDuck my AMH is similar to yours (think it’s someone else who was a 9). Good to know I’m not the only one. Guess we have to focus on making some good eggs!

OnePinkDuck · 24/04/2024 20:00

So no 2 year old intruder last night but partner decided he was just too tired 😂 think this cycle has probably been a dud. got some bloods from GP though to do, so at least will get something out of it.

Lalaland13 · 24/04/2024 20:29

@Daniki Ahh I still don’t get the trigger but hope it works this month for you. Yeah also have less EWCM these days - I guess it’s our age!

Didn’t test other than first thing, probably will tomorrow tbh but you know! I am only human 😂😂

Lalaland13 · 24/04/2024 20:30

Ohh were you annoyed @OnePinkDuck ! It is hard to find the energy! I pre warn my hubby of when it needs to happen 😂

Good little one stayed on own bed though!

InWithPeaceOutWithStress · 25/04/2024 06:36

I’ve buggered up this cycle. Aimed to save it for the day before ovulation but I had a temp rise last night, so this mornings efforts are wasted. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Xxfifixx89 · 25/04/2024 07:46

10dpo and a BFN😫
