Have a lovely evening

OnePinkDuck · 16/04/2024 17:40

@Lalaland13 I have been looking at the tests people post on here and can’t see a line when other people do - but I definitely see a line on that photo!!! Fingers crossed for you!!

Lalaland13 · 16/04/2024 18:24

awh thanks @OnePinkDuck - some angles I see it some I don’t, it’s driving me a bit mad! I might chuck it out so stop me staring at it!

Keep positive @worldwidetravel2017 xx

Bumblebee413 · 16/04/2024 18:34

I’m so sorry @Mrsspoon3. You really didn’t need that too. I hope that they get back to you quickly so that you can start moving forwards xxx

Daniki · 16/04/2024 19:16

@Lalaland13 I see a line for sure!

worldwidetravel2017 · 16/04/2024 19:48

Another neg test this eve..

Hopefully a period or pos test by thurs / fri

Lalaland13 · 16/04/2024 20:12

I really felt saw it earlier but not sure now. Time will tell @Daniki - hope you’re okay.

hopefully get some clarity soon @worldwidetravel2017 xx

Daniki · 16/04/2024 20:15

@Lalaland13 they're the tests I use aswell and any early positive I got looked like that 🙏🫶🏻
Doing ok, day 7 of period and no letting up 🥹 started back acupuncture again last night so hopefully it will help!

Lalaland13 · 16/04/2024 21:18

Ahh that is good to hear, thank you 😘. Oh no and it’s still heavy? My periods have been so damn heavy too. Ohh I’ve never been brave enough for acupuncture. Will it help with cycles?

Daniki · 16/04/2024 22:39

It hopefully should! I did find it helped me after my miscarriages, really shouldn't kept it up! Need to make an app with my GP about my periods, surely not normal to go on so long! Altho any of the fertility docs iv been at tend to have brushed past it when I mentioned 😂

Lalaland13 · 17/04/2024 06:38

ahh it’s so amazing how these things work- is it painful? I think 7 days heavy is long but I guess GPs might not think enough to be concerned. I think mine are about 5 /6 and the first few are so heavy but then it’s annoying and you keep thinking it’s stopped but it keeps going!

Another test with FMU but it’s not any different to yesterday - I think a line but so very faint!! Have some more tests on the way as I will probably want to test a million times more!!

Lalaland13 · 17/04/2024 07:43

Oh i think it is bit darker actually now gone back to it. Hard to be excited when chemical in Jan seemed so similar! Have no symptoms really xx

Daniki · 17/04/2024 09:02

@Lalaland13 I think at this early they will be so faint, finger toes and everything else crossed! Mine have always been 5/6 with like 3 heavy days and the rest manageable but since my last miscarriage they're all over the show! Such a nuisance more than anything 🤪😂

blackberryhill · 17/04/2024 09:12

@Lalaland13 Do you have a picture of your test so that we can all go line-eyes on it?

Another minimal temperature rise for me today but temperatures still low so not convinced I've ovulated or if I have don't think it's a good one - not surprising but still frustrating. I just hope my period arrives in good time so that I can have a proper cycle from scratch rather than being stuck in limbo for weeks.

Lalaland13 · 17/04/2024 10:32

Thanks you for everything crossed @Daniki

Oh heavy bleeding is bad makes you feel exhausted too - mine generally heavier since had son but have put down to no birth control. I did a walk with friends last year and I changed tampon before we left … I was wearing white shorts….. you can see where that is going 😂🤦‍♀️was mortified

Have added @blackberryhill i am trying tho manange expectations as could be another CP.

My temp took 6 days to rise but was gradually rising I guess after ovulation. When do you think period will arrive? Fingers crossed

blackberryhill · 17/04/2024 11:09

@Lalaland13 I can see what you're seeing- 9DPO is still very early, I didn't have a hint of a line until 11DPO with my son and even then it was faint. Keeping everything crossed that it continues to rise!

First cycle off of contraception so who knows when my period might put in an appearance - historically it's arrived 10 - 11 days past ovulation so would be expecting around 24/25th but if I haven't ovulated yet it could be later or this could be an anovulatory month and it arrives in a couple of days. We had on holiday on 2 May so ideally I'd like it to have been and gone by then - it'll be my first proper one since having my son (had light breakthrough bleeds a few times a year on the Nexplanon but no full-blown periods) so I'm expecting it to be carnage.

CoolSummer89 · 17/04/2024 21:35

Sorry been neglecting this thread while I was in the monthly TTC group.

@Mrsspoon3 I am so sorry to hear this, what sh*t news for you. It's so tempting to get ahead of yourself when you receive terrible news like this and imagine the worst. Number 1 priority is your wellbeing, so make sure you lean on your loved ones so you get all the support you need. You will absolutely be able to start trying again soon, but now you have to look after yourself.

Fingers crossed you get the all clear soon - please keep us updated xxx

CoolSummer89 · 17/04/2024 21:45

I have had my usual temp drop which means that AF will be arriving tomorrow. We're taking a break next month because the due date would coincide with when DH is Best Man at a wedding in Australia. So going to use the next few weeks to focus on ourselves and our health. He is starting proceive. I am on folic acid + vit d + coq10. I am also going to start 'seed cycling' because I am officially a crazy person now, and I also did Proov testing this cycle which showed that my progesterone was a little on the weak side. Which actually tracks with some other symptoms I have had like erratic temps and some CM in my luteal phase.

How is everyone else getting on? @Lalaland13 those links look incredible for 9dpo!

[35 yo TTC#1 since Jan 2024]

Lalaland13 · 18/04/2024 08:03

Hopefully your AF be out of way for your holiday @blackberryhill I think mine were surprisingly regular when I came off the pill in 2020! Not been in it since, hope to all figures itself out for you.

ah a month off with a very good reason @CoolSummer89never been to Oz but would love to! Good to focus on yourself.

My test still so faint so hoping not another chemical - been googling all the test progression threads of course!

blackberryhill · 18/04/2024 08:15

@Lalaland13 Thanks - another rise today so cautiously optimistic that I did in fact ovulated and that AF will arrive as scheduled (you know, unless there's a BFP).

Will keep everything crossed on your progression!

Lalaland13 · 18/04/2024 08:59

Ahh good temp rising still - I find my BBT rises so slow after ovulation I even did the randox test this month ti hopefully confirm… I guess faint lines are helping now!

Thanks - it’s hard to know when you should see much change and the previous days ones are fading I think which is making me confused but trying not to worry. It’s my last working day of the week 🙌🙌🙌

Optimist1981 · 18/04/2024 14:35

Hello Ladies, been a while since I was on here but used to savour your messages, ideas for trying and your bfps gave me hope. Since I've been gone I've had 2 BFPs, first pregancy sadly ended at 7 weeks after a bout of food poisoning/norovirus. Currently early days with baby no2. I wanted to come back and share what worked and what didn't work for us. Also, I wanted to give others hope. I am 43 and partner is 50, we have been TTC since June 2023 - all natural we've had no tests or interventions although partner has a daughter so we knew he was fertile and I had an unplanned pregnancy when I was in my 20s so again, I knew I could get pregnant. We tried the following which didn't work for us;
Sperm Meets Egg method
Inserting a cup
Alcohol for relaxation
Lots of sex in fertile week 6 days up to ovulation day (sometimes daily)
Limiting sex to every second day after period

What did work for us both months I fell pregnant;
No sex CD1 to 7 then sex 2 days before ovulation day. For me I always went positive on CD10 and we had sex with "saved up sperm" on CD8 both months we were successful. I have a 26 day cycle.

Obviously everyone is different but this has worked like clockwork twice for us and doesn't involve a cost, doctors or anything particulary difficult so definitely worth a try. We discovered this by accident as we had a massive argument and went without sex for some time. Wishing you all the best, Amanda xxxxx

CoolSummer89 · 18/04/2024 14:46

Hi @Optimist1981 ahh congrats! Really wishing you all the best for this pregnancy. That is so sad that about your earlier pregnancy, I'm so sorry to hear that.

Thanks for sharing what worked for you. I know general advice is sex every two days (I think this must be because they don't want to explain OPKs to people!) but obviously every man is different and while you want 'fresh' sperm, every two days might not be long enough to regenerate. Especially as men get older and testosterone drops.

We have been doing similar, sex at what is predicted beginning of fertile window and then concentrating on peak day. Not worked for us yet, but that's only been our method for two cycles and there are so many variables at play!

Thanks and best of luck again 💖

Optimist1981 · 18/04/2024 14:49

@CoolSummer89 Wishing you every bit of luck in the world! I have since read that in US studies most women concieved when they had sex 2 days before OD and second most was the day before so the science backs what we/you are doing xxx

Rosyposy26 · 18/04/2024 16:29

@Optimist1981 I’m also 43 and ttc I fell in December month after coming of the pill but sadly mc 2/2 just had a period after miscarriage think retained tissue so will be trying again.

hope everything works out for you this time. I have had two pregnancies in my 20s both went well my partner doesn’t have children.

what supplements did you take.
