Hi all!
Ttc number 2..
Had been waiting for a pelvic x-ray but can now start!
Last period was 25feb-1st march
Dtd on 5th (day after x-ray)
Almost positive I ovulated between 4-6th....those were the days I had loads of ewcm (it's been early since having my first. My period comes at 3-4 weeks usually so having short cycles at the moment)
And I got ovulation pains on 6th
Had a sharp stabbing pain breifly (hour or so) on 10th
Today I'm crampy and nauseous!
Fighting the urge to test early and wishing the next few days would hurry themselves up 😂

Daniki · 13/03/2024 16:33

And my spotting has started! Such a strange cycle, but hopefully period isn't far away so I can start this medication and get ready for our follicle monitoring and injections this month!

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 16:54

Eugh just sat crying, I feel terrible. My period is late but keep getting BFN and I just want it to start now so I can get it over with.

I’m so stressed out by my job, I’m asked to do so much and I’m constantly burnt out. The only reason I’m staying is cos the maternity package is so good - 9 months full pay and then another 3 months statutory pay. But I’m worried it’ll take a year to conceive and I’ll be stuck there. I’m not sure I can cope with another month, let alone another year. Has anyone been in the same situation? I don’t want to start a new job and risk getting no maternity pay - but then I’m worried the stress from this job is impacting my health. Sorry for the rant, at my wits end 😢

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 16:55

I’m also worried I’m putting too much pressure on conceiving cos it means I get to have time off, which isn’t the reason I’m doing it

RRAEE · 13/03/2024 17:00

@LK2610 stress is a horrible thing, only you know whats best for you. It's a hard one especially with Mat leave being good. But your health is more important than anything.
Can you not take some time off at all to ease some of the stress ?

ooplesandbaneenies · 13/03/2024 17:27

Dogscanlookup · 13/03/2024 12:47

@Daniki @ooplesandbaneenies even if you guys DTD 11 / 14 days ago, sperm can live for up to 5 days! So conception can happen 5 days after. Still hope!
and I agree, I can see a faint line there too..?

My other tests arrived this evening so I did at first response. Again very very faint line dissecting the test to see it once it had dried. Still in limbo - at the earliest it must be 11DPO maximum like 16. Will try again in the morning. Suspecting it may go like last months CP particularly as I have AF lower back pains exactly the same last month. lines were barely visible then too but at least I knew what DPO I was.

Daniki · 13/03/2024 18:07

@LK2610 that's very tough, completely understand the stress. I agree with seeing if you can take some time off maybe sick? You need some way to decompress, can you ask your work to share the load somehow? I was the same boat last year,'I left a job I loved(but had antisocial hours) for a new mon-fri job but it was horrendous given no training and thrown in the deep end in a completely new industry with the most cunty line manager. I got fired 3 weeks later because I kept asking questions re the same things 😭 anyway cue massive stress as again I was afraid I'd get pregnant and have no job and no maternity pay but my husband was a great support and I started my dream job in jan! Take a step back and weigh up your options, money is the be all and end all in a job, you have to be happy too!

Stress is a horrific thing and yet when people tell you to not stress, it doesn't make sense as it doesn't just magically erase the want for a baby. Just wanted to say I completely understand and get it.

YaWeeFurryBastard · 13/03/2024 18:33

@LK2610 I’m in a similar situation if it helps. My career is stalling at the moment and I need to look for a new job, but my current workplace has a good maternity package and I wouldn’t want to annoy a new employer by moving and then getting pregnant right away. This will be our third cycle and the more time goes on the more I’m glad we got started now and didn’t wait. It’s bloody hard with the job situation though!

Jemmy94 · 13/03/2024 18:38

@LK2610 That sounds really difficult 😔 as others have said you gotta put yourself first, having some time off might give you the space to be able to make decisions that are right for you 🥰

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 20:09

Thanks everyone, I feel better after reading your messages ❤️ having a glass of wine now and hopefully tomorrow will be better. It all came to a head today. I’ve also now just booked a week off at the start of April to hopefully figure out what to do x

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 20:22

@Daniki I did wonder about going to the docs and seeing if they could do anything for stress. I should probably be more open with my manager but everyone’s stretched so I feel guilty saying something. I’m glad you’ve found your dream job now ☺️ there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. So true it’s not all about the money, I needed to hear that, thanks

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 20:27

@YaWeeFurryBastard sorry to hear you’re in a tricky situation too. It’s so difficult when we’re in limbo waiting. It makes you realise there’s no right time to start TTC because of the unpredictability of it all!

Daniki · 13/03/2024 20:28

Good for you @LK2610 do something lovely for yourself! I always recommend acupuncture and reflexology 🤗 I actually took up reiki lately and it has been lovely! I'm not usually a holisitic person but iv taken this route in the past year or so to try and destress myself, cortisol is not good for TTC 🥴

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 20:39

I was literally just looking into booking myself a massage on Friday @Daniki I had reiki before too and loved it. I was also looking at acupuncture but didn’t know if you need a specific injury/pain for that?

Daniki · 13/03/2024 20:43

@LK2610 no not at all! It's actually great for fertility, I went after my first miscarriage and really enjoyed it, I went back once after my second one, should probably go again maybe it will help me conceive again! Iv reflexology booked for this Friday 🥰

LK2610 · 13/03/2024 21:38

Ooh I might have to try that then. Glad to hear it helped you ❤️ I might see if the therapist can give me a mix on Friday so I try them both x

Daniki · 13/03/2024 21:49

@LK2610 great! Hope you find something that works ❤️

SkaterChick · 14/03/2024 00:52

@LK2610 it's also worth checking your contract to see if you have to return for X months after your mat leave. A friend has similar mat pay but if she doesn't return to work for 12m once her mat leave finishes she has to pay back everything over SMP.

Bluemilan · 14/03/2024 07:04

Hi all, jumping on of that's ok. 12dpo and all bfn and definitely do not feel pregnant (have always had symptoms in previous pregnancies!). Abit gutted as we had a really traumatic miscarriage in December so was hoping March was our month but alas, the fertility gods said a big fat nope. However, if we were to conceive in April, my due date would be the day before my birthday which is lovely 💕

ButItHasCheese · 14/03/2024 07:57

Aaaand my AF just arrived... so definitely on for April haha

Ttc2023x · 14/03/2024 08:04

Hey! Can i join? Im 38, partner 45 & we have had 4 early losses but prob has changed from being able to conceive then losing them early to not being able too.... partner struggling to do what he needs to do... currently on cd16 & think got peak yesterday, am i still in with a chance if we manage tonight? Sorry for the offload, been trying 2 years now & im sick of thinking about it all! 🤞🙏

Daniki · 14/03/2024 08:28

@Ttc2023x welcome! Can completely understand being fed up, feel the same! Such a long process. I think sometimes we forget it affects the men too, my husband is getting very frustrated with the whole thing too! Have you had any investigations?

@Bluemilan sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it's very rough! Hopefully you get pregnant this month 🤗

Daniki · 14/03/2024 09:07

And my period just started. BUT I'm taking the positives, I think that supplement has balanced my hormones because I only had a tiny bit of spotting last night compared to my 4/5 days prior to AF. My period has been lasting up to 8 days and super heavy so will see how this goes. I get 3/4 migraines around AF aswell and I have had one!

SkaterChick · 14/03/2024 12:13

Gosh I'd forgotten how stressful this tww is.
I felt insanely nauseous yesterday to the point where I actually thought I might be sick and started looking for any leftover anti sickness meds from my previous pregnancy.
I ended up testing but BFN, not surprising as I was 7/8dpo at the absolute most.
Cramping a lot today. Based on a 28day cycle my period isn't due for 10 days. But based on a shorter cycle (due to early ovulation) it could be due anywhere from maybe Monday? Some months I've had a 21day cycle. It's never the same 🙄

Need to get some lht's for next month I think.
