Hey all,

a quick question around ovulation. We had a CP in December which knocked us for six and made us want to actively try.

I didn’t track ovulation before then, so only really since January. My cycle varies between 27 and 30 days, and I’ve had AF on the 4th of the month for February and march. According to my apps, I’m meant to ovulate on the 17th march but I’ve taken a test and it’s indicated a faint line. I’ve also had other ovulation symptoms. Does this sound normal for CD9? If I ovulate within the next few days that will be CD10-13, but given I’m not due AF until the 4th I don’t know when we should be BD’ing or if this bodes well for pregnancy!

@Suburbandreams if it's a faint line it's not positive. It needs to be as strong or stronger than the control line. Keep testing!! What other ovulation symptoms have you had?

Hi, jumping on this thread as its giving such good vibes 🥰 I'm currently on cycle day 5, ttc baby number 2 (DS is 2, 3 next month) and this is cycle 3 for me after coming off the pill in December.

I feel I'm struggling abit as my body tries to rebalance itself, so much more emtoional.. did anyone else have a similar experience?

Welcome @Jemmy94 my son is also 3 next month! 🥹 where does the time go. When I came off the pill years ago I took agnus castus tea (I think it was called) to help balance my hormones they were all over the show!

@Jemmy94 @Daniki my DD is 3 next month also! How strange.

when I came off the pill I found myself to feel a lot more settled, I was on the pill for years and I don’t think it ever really agreed with me. Didn’t realise until I stopped taking it… but it definitely takes the body a while to adjust either way!

Tested this morning, BFN. Defo indent I seen yest. And no sign of period duno what's going on!

The mini pill affected my mental health so badly. Looking back I can’t quite believe it, I was a different person. Panic attacks and rage. When I stopped taking the pill it was like a weight was lifted.

@Daniki i realised I missed the test you sent through! Sorry it’s a BFN, I guess just keep testing until AF shows up / if?!

@Dogscanlookup logically I’m thinking, I can’t be pregnant 😂 we last had sex 11 days ago I realised 🫣 so it surely would of picked up by now! Hopefully comes soon so I can start new cycle 🤪

Sorry it was a BFN. I've done another of the tests I got yesterday and the same indent again. First time I've bought these tests so won't be buying again. I took it apart to even see anything too so it's definitely invalid. I don't feel anything either. I'm the same DTD 14 days ago now so would be seeing it by now. I'll test again with the more sensitive ones arriving today and then leave it until AF finally decides to come.

Thank you. So far I’ve had high sex drive, the odd cramp and the tell tale CM. I’ve bought some premom ovulation sticks as it didn’t help that my clear blue monitor stopped working and I couldn’t bear to buy another so I just used the strips by themselves! That probably wasn’t helpful….

Going to retest today and see what happens. We have managed to dtd every other day practically since CD 5 (1 day after AF stopped).

I’ve just had a letter through saying I’m due for a smear test. Has anyone had experience of this with ttc? I’m just a little concerned all that prodding around could hurt our chances ☹️. Should I wait until after we’ve hopefully had a baby?

@YaWeeFurryBastard I had a smear done while pregnant. I had no bleeding after and everything was fine.

Also had mine done while TTC with no issues! They didn't even ask if any chance of being pregnant I think it's proven safe now ☺️

@YaWeeFurryBastard no issues getting it done, you could try and schedule for just after your period to avoid it being around your fertile window?

@Daniki Thank you! I know time goes to quickly! Oh really, I've not heard of that tea before. I think mine are as I was on the combined pill from Feb last year and before that the mini pill for 2 years so my hormones are all over 🫣

@Dogscanlookup Oh really? Definitely I've had two types of pills in the three years since DS so expect it will take my body a while!

@Jemmy94 takes a while for it to leave your body! I think you can it tablet form etc aswell!

@Daniki Yeah, my problem is I'm impatient 🤭 ooh I will have a look into it! I've been taking the prenatal so hopefully that will help!

@Suburbandreams I mean if you're DTD every other day you're putting yourself in for a good chance anyway! It is frustrating not knowing when exactly it happens.

My app says i should ovulate Cd12 this month but I don't think it's right. I plan on dtd every other day up until Cd12 and then every day until Cd16 😅 (haven't gone through that plan with DH mind!!)

@Daniki @ooplesandbaneenies even if you guys DTD 11 / 14 days ago, sperm can live for up to 5 days! So conception can happen 5 days after. Still hope!
and I agree, I can see a faint line there too..?

@ooplesandbaneenies I can definitely see a line! Maybe you ovulated later than you think 🤞🏼

CD8 for me and based on cm I actually definitely am in my fertile window 🤯 so soon this month

Hopefully 🤞🏻getting more doubtful by the day. I'm very impatient I need to know the outcome 😂
