Can i join please. I have been ttc for 8 years and never had a positive ovulation test in around 2 years, does this look positive? I have pcos and period not due till 18th April

Edited

Yep defo positive it's stronger than the control line. Time to get down to business😂

ThingsLineUp · 30/03/2024 18:00

@MadeWithL0ve Looks positive to me too. Are they the Clear & Simple ones? I've got those and found they're not as sensitive compared to Easy at Home or Clearblue, so when they are positive I trust them even more. Excited for you seeing your first positive opk in so long!

@MrsP20202 Great idea on confirming with Clearblue - I think I'll do that next cycle, found it stressful this month just using strips and trying to determine whether the lines were about the same or not.

@LK2610 I think I'm in TWW but not quite sure - its my first cycle tracking All The Things (i.e. opk, CM and BBT) and its just added confusion 😂Opks were positive Tues with peak on Weds, so according to that would be 3dpo today. But my BBT hasn't gone up and still having some fertile CM. Having said that, my mood and sex drive have both nosedived which usually signals I'm in the second half of my cycle.

MadeWithL0ve · 30/03/2024 18:08

I know I'm getting excited, they are just asdas ovulation test strips

Parcou25 · 30/03/2024 19:23

Hey ladies! Think I am about 7dpo, I was tracking ovulation with OPK but ran out of them & just never bothered buying anymore 😅 with my last child it literally consumed me trying to concieve him I'm just going to try and be a bit more chilled out this time round.

Ive also recently stopped taking the pill so this is the first time trying since my first AF after stopping it.

I use the app Flow which in the past was pretty accurate with my ovulation day and we've DTD on the predicted ovulation day and few times on different fertile days so fingers crossed its worked.

Currently experiencing lower back ache, cramps on my left side and tender boobs. Remembering my last pregnancy I honestly felt like AF was on the way but I got my BFP so I'm trying not to sympton spot 😂 ( very difficult lol)

Good luck everyone! X

@Daniki yeah so cyclogest is what I have sitting in my cupboard and I’m exactly the same thought process with regards to taking it sooner… hopefully this works for you!
@Parcou25 sounds like a hopeful month! I’m also 7DPO. I haven’t had cramps but really sharp stabbing pains. Worse than normal but this whole cycle for me feels off.

I hope so! Aw nice, fingers crossed for us both then! Hopefully all that is a good sign, I tend to get cramps and pains whether I'm pregnant or not 😅

MotherofGods · 30/03/2024 20:56

@Parcou25 Very similar to me, 9dpo I believe recently came of implant ! Iv been cramping for a few days now so I caved today and took a cheap strip test today BFN ☹️ still early I know but still little disheartening isn’t it xx

@Dogscanlookup yea I'll keep you updated with how i get on! But worth a go if we're low in it and it's an important horomone!

Dogscanlookup · 30/03/2024 22:26

I cried at Bluey today. What does this mean 😂

MosquitoeSr84 · 31/03/2024 00:37

Trying for a baby, aged 39 and 41 already both have children from previous marriage. But been trying for 8 months and nothing happening. Is it because im too old now?

BexCinnamon · 31/03/2024 02:57

Can I join please? I'm 34, 35 in May, and are TTC baby number two. We already have a daughter who's 3 1/2. Cycle number 7 and not going to OPK this month as massively stresses me out and can't deal with the mental torture of it all. TRYING to be more chill this month, on CD8 at the moment. We live in Australia (from UK originally) and are going to Bali on holiday next week. Hoping the Balinese sun works its magic! I have endo and conceived my daughter 6 months post surgery for a 'clean out' last time. If we don't conceive this month I think we will look at going down the doctor's route.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Will my age be playing a huge part in TTC this time round?
Trying to be chilled and not freak out but really want this so badly, like all of us I'm sure 💗 let's hope this is a lucky thread for us all, sending everyone positive vibes!

I also took one this morning, stark white 😂 I did say to myself whats the point in doing one so early, did it anyway. But yeah you're right it is, we still have plenty of time though, xx

If you've been trying for 8 months at 39 then I would go to the GP and get checked out. Good to have an idea where you stand. Lots of women have children round this age so not that's it too old but it just gets harder as we get older! 😩

Hi 👋🏻
My journey is similar to yours, I am also ttc #2 for 6 months now!
My period is due tomorrow and I’m already feeling some cramps:(
I think a Dec Jan baby is so nice, takes you through the Jan blues.
Goodluck on your journey.

@Superwomen95 Hi! how old is your first if you don’t mind me asking? Mine has recently turned 3 so I would have loved a 3 year age gap but it’s looking now like it will be a 4 year one! Just did a due date calculator and I’m now getting January arrival dates as my period started so late so I’ve somehow managed to completely miss December, husband got his way after all lol.

Did your period start? Up until 5 minutes ago I thought this may have been my month but AF decided to show up this morning with absolutely no warning or symptoms 😩. Very frustrating!

@BexCinnamon Im also a similar age to you. 33 currently, 34 in June! I fell so quickly with my first (literally first go) but this time it’s taking longer. Im also wondering if it’s my age! Very frustrating, wish we had of started trying a lot sooner now, but at the same time I don’t think we could have coped with a newborn and my DS last year. His 2-3 year age was really tough for us!

My period came today just as I knew it would :(
I didn’t have much hope for this month but it’s still disappointing. Also it’s hard to just continue more of the same next month as it hasn’t worked till now, just feels like whats going to change. Am just feeling rather down.
I’m sorry your period showed up too!!
My daughter is only 2 but I would have loved a very close age gap!

mrsdarcy1699 · 31/03/2024 09:13

Hello all, can I please join? TTC this month using OPK’s for first time and the stress is real lol - have been more chill in past just using app and hoping timing is right but it’s been well over a year so that’s clearly not working for us! I’m in my mid twenties and was always fed that idea of how “easy” it would be to conceive especially from my mum who fell preg every month she ever tried apparently - just left me feeling awful. Could not even describe how perfect this month would be to conceive as it’s our wedding and honeymoon month so the time I’d start testing/my AF would be due is on my honeymoon - know I could be setting myself up for a real disappointment but just can’t help imagining it 🥹 Sending lots of love to everyone on this chat - the emotional side of things is so incredibly hard!!

TryTheNight · 31/03/2024 10:20

To everyone asking: I don't want to make this political, so I'll keep it short... The person who came at me for my infertility was a man threatening criminal, highly illegal levels of violence against a minority group because that's how you "protect" your children. So... that's why I feel 0% bad kicking him out of my life forever.

I'm moving on from it because he doesn't deserve to take up any brain cells.

TryTheNight · 31/03/2024 10:26

@BexCinnamon, good luck! My situation isn't quite the same, but I had a polyp removed from my uterus in January, which will hopefully help me get a BFP. March was the first month I was cleared to really try since my OBGYN wanted things to heal up a bit.

@MadeWithL0ve, I just got my first positive ovulation test on about 4 years! Also, I love going with my cheapies off of Amazon. I get tons of ovulation tests in one box. Very basic, but it gets the job done (the lack of positive tests were an issue with me, not the test).

TryTheNight · 31/03/2024 10:30

@MosquitoeSr84, if you're worried about age, one of the tests my doctor ran on me was to check my egg reserve and different blood tests to check certain hormone levels. Something like that might give you peace of mind and extra answers to boost your chances of getting a BFP! 😀

Dogscanlookup · 31/03/2024 11:47

@Superwomen95 @satsumaqueen im joining your gang. I was so excited this morning as my progesterone test showed a positive which is better than yesterday. Then an hour late heavy spotting. At 8DPO like usual.
I’m gutted and fed up, and can’t try next month as partner is away. At least we can all have wine and feel an excuse for chocolate this Easter

tryingtoconceive2012 · 31/03/2024 14:36

Hi all thought I would jump on this thread, wishing everyone the best with their journeys! I am 10dpo today and had a MMC end of last year, what does everyone think??? So worried about evaps and indents!!

TTC April 2024…Christmas Babies! ❤️✨
Daniki · 31/03/2024 16:46

@tryingtoconceive2012 I would say that's a pos that's what my faint lines have looked like on those tests!

SummerSun24 · 31/03/2024 18:28

I feel like I'm so far behind everyone on here!! Cd12 here predicted ovulation from app is the 3rd but lots of EWCM today and feeling fruity so gonna go with it 😂 cycles do tend to be ok the longer side though but who knows.

Anyone else at a similar place in there cycle?

Daniki · 31/03/2024 20:21

@SummerSun24 if you have the CM go with it!

CD19 here I'm having a lot of pains round my pelvic area, hoping a good sign!
