Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in April 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of March to April ! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

4DPO for me. Had some short, mild cramps but trying not to read into it either way. At the back of my mind my heart dropped cos I usually get cramps a few days after ovulation right till AF. So it’s not a good sign. Anyway, early days.

How’s everyone else getting along? Anyone else in the TWW now?

Yep! I'm 2/3dpo not sure 😂 I always get a lot of pelvic pressure after ovulation or sure what that's about but I have it today anyway! Will be starting progesterone pessaries in the morn too really hoping this cycle works as iv thrown everything at it! 🙈

5dpo and getting used to the TWW again 😅 at least it's Easter so it's a nice distraction!

I'm in the TWW too, and my back is in absolute bits. Normally I get this pain before period so trying not to get upset.

It's just a bit early for this pain and I can't get to sleep without a hot water bottle 🤒

I hate knowing so much about my body sometimes, it's easier to live in hope at times!

I’m also in the TWW. I’ve had a few test results back now, all normal. Except I haven’t received my progesterone, so I’m just hoping they did actually test it 🙄. I still think I haven’t got ovulation down to a t so that’s something I need to think about.

I’ve had cramps on and off, im now 9DPO but im choosing not to test. Part of me would rather live in hope! AF is due on the 4th and the last couple of months has been like clockwork even with travel etc. So we will see, im still keeping everything crossed. With my first I experienced implantation bleeding but didn’t with my CP so trying not to be disheartened that I haven’t had that. Also desperately been trying not to symptom match….

I'm at a real low right now.

I was just attacked by a childhood friend about my infertility. That because I don't have children (because I have not been able to up to this point), that I have zero clue anything related to parenting, protecting a child, etc. That it's not my infertile place to have opinions about raising a child.

If I get another BFN when I test, I'm probably going to have an extra horrifically terrible time of it all.

Sorry for the heaviness today. The struggle is beyond real, and the world is cruel.

That's such a horrible thing to say to someone! By no means would I count them as a friend. Such a low blow to someone already suffering, unless anyone knows what this feels like they have no clue! 😩

@TryTheNight i’m in shock reading this, what a cruel thing to say to a friend. I hope they reflect and apologise soon

I am in no ways defending them but sounds like they have something of their own going on. Happy people don’t try and inflict pain on their friends. And perhaps they are feeling their own inadequacies.

as I say in no way a defence and hope this person does some soul searching and offers you a deep apology very soon.

Hi ladies, going to hop in and join you for April. I have no idea what's going on with my cycle or where I am, AF is currently 6 days late but I'm getting nothing but bfns. Frustrating! Cycle 3 since coming off bc and the first two were relatively predictable.

Hi everyone, joining in at 2dpo. 5th cycle ttc number 1. I’m actually a Christmas Eve baby and have always loved it - so hoping that this is the month to make December extra magical!

@Daniki @CoolSummer89 I am not close to them now that I'm an adult. Therefore, I made the decision that they are never allowed in my life ever again. I also informed my family that they are blacklisted and are not allowed anywhere I will be - otherwise, I refuse to be present (even if it's a family member's wedding).

I went full on dramatic. 😆 But I actually mean it. People like that do not get to be anywhere near my life. I value myself more than that.

@YorkshirePeridot welcome! Have you been tracking ovulation since coming off birth control? I think the time after ovulation is pretty fixed but first part of cycle can fluctuate especially after coming off BC.

ps, love your username. Peridots are one of my fave gems.

@TryTheNight ah ok, they sound very odd. How did this even come about? Are they finding parenting particularly challenging?

@TryTheNight what an awful thing to say to you, given what you're going through.

Also not defending them (because they should know better) but it might be something going on with them to make them lash out. Even when you are a parent you've pretty much got no idea about anything, and make it up as you go along.

@TryTheNight absolutely awful thing for them to say. I know it’s horrible to hear but also it’s complete BS so throw them and that comment to one side and continue your journey in a positive way (of course easier said than done but ugh! What a twat)

@Daniki what are these progesterone pesseries? I’ve only been given these for when I’m pregnant, not while TTC. Which is also frustrating - did my PDG test today At 7DPO and it was negative so not a good start and I feel so sad.

@Risingsun93 I’ve been trying since January 2023 with two MC in between. It’s a long, and sadly fairly common, road but we’re all here and of course you belong!

@Dogscanlookup it's the cyclogest, also supposed to start taking them from BFP but I'm like if I have low progesterone, and done all this work this cycle, and it stops me from implanting why wouldn't i just take it? See does it help! I see it's standard procedure for ivf and some people on trigger shots so I started it last night (3dpo) and will see. It needs to be least 3 dpo as any sooner can cause eptopic pregnancies. It might not work but il let you know!

@CoolSummer89 thank you! I didn't track ovulation in Jan but got strong positives in both Feb and March which matched with symptoms. My luteal phase was only 10 days last cycle though so maybe it's just due to hormones settling. Annoying though when I was convinced that 2024 was going to be the year that I had my first baby. Nice to have safe spaces like this for mutual support though 🙂

Iv read somewhere that wild yam cream on inner thighs once a day in fbe luteal phase can also help with this! I don't know about the evidence though. It's a natural Progesterone booster. I think it's recommended to stop once pregnant though

Welll I'm on 12DPO and big negative so I think I'm probs out and onto the next cycle. Will keep testing up til when period due but if no luck ill be onto the January thread !

Can i join please. I have been ttc for 8 years and never had a positive ovulation test in around 2 years, does this look positive? I have pcos and period not due till 18th April

Hi everyone again! I’m 1dpo gutted about the last month with that really strong evap line but onwards and upwards on the tww again !

@MadeWithL0ve that looks positive to me hun, I normally test with the easy at home then confirm with a clear blue ovulation test when the east at home is dark I find it a lot more helpful then trying to guess with the normal strips

That sounds like a good idea! I have spent a fortune these last few years on ovulation tests for me to never get a positive so was very surprised today when I seen this appear, was trying not to get to excited just yet but now I'm feeling hopeful 🥰
