TTC after chemical - anyone with me?

Hello

My OH and I are currently TTC.

We had a BFP earlier this month which seemed like a miracle as it was only our first month TTC.

Sadly that ended in a CP at 4w6d 🥺. We were devastated but really want to remain as positive as possible and are going to continue TTC.

I'm currently on CD10. Usually ovulate around CD13-14 but expecting it to be a little delayed possibly this month after the CP. I'm using OPKs for the first time this month to track!

Anyone with me on the journey of TTC after a CP? I'd love to hear from you so we are in it together 🩷

@ToeBeans24 how you getting on!? 😁

ToeBeans24 · 19/07/2024 11:47

hey @Riverstardust so funny you messaged as I was going to reach out today to ask how you all coped between your dating scan and 20 week scan?!?!

Im climbing the walls lol. Did hear baby’s heartbeat last week at midwife appointment which was lovely. But now feel in no man’s land!

Im growing but convinced myself it’s just fat and bloat 🤣. Appart from tiredness and bloating I feel completely normal!

@ToeBeans24 had our 20 week last week, all looked good, nothing to report, all growing as she should be! I started feeling movement from 18 weeks which helped massively with headspace! Have you felt anything yet? 😁

I keep catching my reflection in shop windows and being shocked! My bloating has faded now and it's definitely looking like a bump now so hopefully yours will round out soon too!

ToeBeans24 · 19/07/2024 13:20

@Riverstardust so glad it went well! Do you think you’ll have any more scans privately ?

well I feel like my bump is HUGE for almost 17 weeks and people keep commenting so!

No movements yet. The occasional popping / flutter but nothing often or regular! Was it kicks you felt from 18?

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 19/07/2024 13:34

@ToeBeans24 no we won't be. My husband missed out on the 20 week due to rubbish hospital parking so I thought maybe we'd do one then, but he's not bothered. He'll see her when she's out, which I'm feeling the same tbh. Can feel her moving around so I know she's all good! 😊

Oh really!!?? I'm quite tall so it didn't really look like a bump for a while. 😂

No, I felt the bubbles and fluttering. Occasionally had the sensation you get when you drive over a hill and your tummy flips. 😂 But now it's definitely kicks! 😂

ToeBeans24 · 19/07/2024 14:15

@Riverstardust that’s fair enough. Such a shame he missed it due to hospital parking though !

Ah see in quite short (5ft3/4) and a short torso so the only way is out 🤣🤰🏼

Ive felt some flutters but not for a week or 2 so I hope everything’s ok. So ready for the first kick 🦵🏻🥹

3 and a bit weeks till the next scan! I’ve not booked any private ones since the dating scan as it makes me feel better for a while but then I go back to worrying

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 19/07/2024 19:57

@ToeBeans24 ahh yeah that's fair!

Aww, love that for you! Mine have progressed into noticeable movements now so yours will be there soon too! 😁

Yeah that's fair, short term relief. Now you feel them, it's unlikely needed anyway! 😊

ToeBeans24 · 19/07/2024 21:36

@Riverstardust i hope so. Just a bit worried the popping / flutters have stopped this week. Maybe it was gas and not baby before 🤣

really hope to feel something soon. My placenta is at the back so hopefully I’ll feel them sooner x

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 20/07/2024 07:52

@ToeBeans24 that's completely normal, baby is still so little that they can get in a position where you don't feel it. I was getting consistent movements and then on the 20 week scan, she was wiggling away and I couldn't feel it.

Sounds like you're already getting movements so shouldn't be too long!

ToeBeans24 · 12/08/2024 09:26

@Riverstardust im having a little girl 🥹🥹. They are perfect xx

@ToeBeans24 Ahhhhh amazing!!!!! 🥰🥰 How's everything going?

ToeBeans24 · 12/08/2024 09:32

@Riverstardust all good thank you. Can feel them kicking / fluttering away now daily for the past few weeks! Measuring perfect too which is good as everyone kept saying how big I was so I was worried they’d be huge or I’d have too much fluid etc. Very reassuring! Other than bump i don’t feel pregnant at all lol. How are you? Xx

Riverstardust · 12/08/2024 09:38

@ToeBeans24 aww!!! That's so lovely! It's really reassuring when you can feel them! ☺️ I'm glad all your other symptoms have vanished!

All good here, reached 24 weeks which felt like a big milestone! Baby kicks me on the regular now. Have an issue with my hips when sleeping and heartburn. But aside from that it's good! 😊

ToeBeans24 · 12/08/2024 11:22

@Riverstardust thanks so much! Oh no my hips and randomly my ribs (?!) have been so painful at night. So bizarre as pre pregnancy I always used to sleep on my side anyway. Must be the extra weight or pressure I don’t know!

24 weeks is my next milestone ! Congrats 🩷

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 12/08/2024 12:07

@ToeBeans24 yeah it's likely that, all that extra weight and at night it's all on the one hip! Just hopeful it'll go when baby's here! 😂

ToeBeans24 · 25/09/2024 22:17

@Riverstardust how are you getting on? I can’t remember how many weeks ahead of me you are but I’m almost 27 so you must be approaching the finish line!! Eeeek. Hope all is well 🩷

Hey! I'm 31 so only 4 weeks ahead of you!! 😁 I'm good thanks, heartburn, rib pain, sore hips at night aside! 😂 We're all prepared and ready to go too, nursery is all sorted, bag packed, everything bought. So we're just waiting now! ☺️ How are you doing? So close to third trimester now!? So crazy how it's going so fast!

ToeBeans24 · 26/09/2024 21:44

Awww how exciting @Riverstardust !!

Yes almost at the 3rd trimester. I feel so huge lol. We are away next week for a baby moon which is exciting but also scary / sad it’s the last one just is 2! Very excited for our next chapter tho.

god I know what you mean about the hips and ribs. Sleeping is so painful for me I actually dread getting into bed 😭. But I’m so exhausted lol.

we have everything really! But are also in the process of moving house so haven’t done a nursery yet! Also haven’t unboxed the pram which is pure torture. I just want to see it and play with it lol xx

Riverstardust · 27/09/2024 09:34

@ToeBeans24 ahh amazing! Yeah I know what you mean about feeling huge. I thought I was big at the 27 week mark. You can get bigger 😂

Literally, sleep is a nightmare. I have multiple duvets to sleep on which helps a tiny bit but it's still so uncomfortable! Sleeping at a 45' angle helps a bit though, so if you can do that, worth a try. Just lean back on my pregnancy pillows.

So cool! Hope you have an amazing time! It's sad saying goodbye to the 2 chapter but I bet the 3 chapter is going to be amazing! Besides the 2 chapter will return so it's not goodbye forever!

Riverstardust · 31/10/2024 16:43

@ToeBeans24 how you doing? ☺️

ToeBeans24 · 31/10/2024 19:05

Hey @Riverstardust ! I’m good thanks! 31 weeks 😱. Where is time going?? Surprisingly feeling ok just tired 😴 and feel huge haha. Bump tracking on the 50th centile however. But I’m convinced she’ll be huge lol. How are you

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 31/10/2024 19:14

@ToeBeans24 31weeks!? That's crazy! We're at 36 over here. It's all gone so quickly but so slowly at the same time! 😂 So ready to not be pregnant anymore! 😂

ToeBeans24 · 31/10/2024 19:18

@Riverstardust eeeek how are you feeling? Anxious / excited ?? I’m terrified of birth. And not knowing when it’ll happen lol

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 05/11/2024 09:42

@ToeBeans24 yeah both of those. I'm trying to remind myself that this is what we're made to do, so our bodies will be able to do it. Even if it's so scary! 😂 I'm just hoping it happens naturally instead of having to be induced, but I have a feeling she's going to hold off. 😂 How are you feeling about it?

ToeBeans24 · 05/11/2024 10:35

@Riverstardust yes I’m exactly the same. In a way I hope she does hold on a bit for us so she doesn’t arrive over Xmas / new year lol (due date is 30th Dec!!). So early Jan would be preferable haha. We shall see. It’s the unknown that’s so scary isn’t it xx
