TTC after chemical - anyone with me?

Hello

My OH and I are currently TTC.

We had a BFP earlier this month which seemed like a miracle as it was only our first month TTC.

Sadly that ended in a CP at 4w6d 🥺. We were devastated but really want to remain as positive as possible and are going to continue TTC.

I'm currently on CD10. Usually ovulate around CD13-14 but expecting it to be a little delayed possibly this month after the CP. I'm using OPKs for the first time this month to track!

Anyone with me on the journey of TTC after a CP? I'd love to hear from you so we are in it together 🩷

@ToeBeans24 as long as you're eating that's the main thing. 1st trimester is not for being healthy! I was completely off everything healthy! 😂 Lots of toast, crackers, pasta!
Whatever you can eat to get you through!

Nbaby · 05/06/2024 19:57

@ToeBeans24 yeah due date is now 22nd dec, also completely exhausted and looking after a toddler and being sick near 10 times a day is rough, really hoping it passes soon. Given iron tablets today and they are awful as well . Glad to hear everything is going well!
@Riverstardust thank you my diet is mostly toast but better than nothing I suppose. What we have to do, not easy!

Hello OP, although this thread is a bit old however I found it when I had a CP last month. Right now I am 11 dpo and started to feel lost again but reading it again gives me some peace. Thank you for this!

ToeBeans24 · 08/06/2024 14:42

Hey @LucyCL I’m so glad you found this thread, although not nice to be part of the loss group. There is so much support here. I trailed the internet for weeks and countless nights looking for realistic non bias stories about pregnancy after loss.

Im sorry you feel lost. It’s easy for me to say now but there is always hope and light at the end of the tunnel. The tricky part is not knowing how long the tunnel is or what you might bump into on the way. But as a loss Mumma you are capable of anything due to your strength 💪🏻 xx

@Riverstardust @Nbaby scan yesterday was amazing. So much growth in 2 weeks. I’m still a week behind from LMP but I think the measurement is correct as I’m sure I ovulated a week late! Measuring 10w1d. Such a clear image. Wriggling around too!

@ToeBeans24 Oh my goodness!!!! So cute! Glad everything is going well!! 😊 How are your symptoms?

We found out we're having a little girl!

ToeBeans24 · 08/06/2024 16:23

Congrats @Riverstardust !!! I’ve been feeling yucky. Nausea pretty much daily. Wearing travel sickness bands but not really helping xx

Riverstardust · 08/06/2024 16:26

@ToeBeans24 thank you! I'm sorry you're feeling like that! At least it's not in vain, you get a squishy baby at the end of it! If it helps, second trimester is a lot easier! I forget I'm pregnant most days at the moment as there are no symptoms!

ToeBeans24 · 08/06/2024 17:20

Wahoo @Riverstardust that’s something to look forward to. I’m waiting for the glow stage 🤭🤭

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 08/06/2024 17:55

@ToeBeans24 you won't feel like that forever! I know it feels never ending but it's in site! The placenta takes over around now for you so hopefully you're nearing the end of feeling rubbish!!

There's a glow stage? 😂😂

ToeBeans24 · 08/06/2024 18:18

Haha @Riverstardust maybe I’m delusional / hysterical or I’ve been lied to 🤣. Who knows. Good to know about the placenta. Means I will panic less (hopefully) when symptoms reduce x

Just read this thread and so happy for you both!

Hopeful as I am going through a chemical right now after some positive tests earlier in the week and bleeding starting yesterday. It was only the first cycle TTC #2 but it has hit me like a tonne of bricks

ToeBeans24 · 13/06/2024 16:03

@mangobe in so sorry to hear you’re going through this. But I’m glad this thread has helped a little. My chemical was also on my first cycle (but whilst TTC #1). It’s so hard. What I will say is don’t get caught up in reading about increased fertility and catching next cycle. If you do - great. But I didn’t, and I’d put so much hope on getting a bfp I think that was when I finally grieved.

always here to chat. Be kind to yourself and know none of this is your fault. Trust your body x

@Riverstardust @Nbaby i had my dating scan today 🥰 measuring at 13 weeks so caught up from the private scans! Waiting for the screening results but NT measurement and everything else looked good! They were upside down for the entire scan despite best efforts 🤣

Any gender guesses from the nub theory?? 🤭

Riverstardust · 24/06/2024 14:31

@ToeBeans24 ahhh amazing!!! Happy they have caught up! Don't worry, my girl was upside down for most of it too, had to keep wiggling, she'd flip but then would flip right back! 😂

I don't know about nub theory but I reckon a boy from the skull! Do you have any preference?

ToeBeans24 · 24/06/2024 14:57

Haha they are so cheeky aren’t they. I couldn’t believe how much they were moving ! How are you and your little girl doing?

no I don’t have a preference either way. I’m a girl heavy family as is DP so he’d like a boy ideally but happy with either 🥰

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 24/06/2024 15:04

@ToeBeans24 I know, it's so crazy! It's really weird to see them moving that much but not be able to feel it! 😂 We're doing alright, 18 weeks now. Having bad hip pain at night which is a pain. 😂 Have your symptoms gotten easier yet?

When you get around to it, I definitely recommend buying clothes off of vinted, get some much almost new stuff for next to nothing!

ToeBeans24 · 25/06/2024 15:51

@Riverstardust thanks for the tip! I updated my Vinted app last night so will have a look!

My symptoms seem to have settled. Boobs still a little sore but not as bad and I still have terrible bloating but again much reduced. New symptom is dizziness not sure if it’s BP related or blood sugar.

My hip pain started quite early which surprised me as we’ve got a really supportive mattress. I ordered a pregnancy pillow after the scan yesterday 🤭. Soon to become my new BFF I’m sure !

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 25/06/2024 16:56

@ToeBeans24 the boob pain and bloating went away for me about week 14, so hopef that'll stop for you too! Dizziness could definitely be blood pressure! Have so much extra blood in our bodies! 😂

I cannot sleep without my pillow now! Which did you go for? 😊 I got the Bella moon, struggled with it for a few nights but once it had softened up, it's now so comfy! 😊

ToeBeans24 · 25/06/2024 17:11

no way I got the BellaMoon too! Haha @Riverstardust Came highly recommended from someone and it was also on sale! Had a dispatch notification today wahooo

OP posts:
Riverstardust · 25/06/2024 17:32

@ToeBeans24 it's a good one! Just don't be put off if the first couple of nights it's not comfy! I regretted it but it soon softened! I love that you can use it in pieces and also after baby too! 😁

Nbaby · 07/07/2024 17:47

@ToeBeans24 aw congratulations glad to hear everything going well. I’ve been in and out of hospital for fluids got it rough enough.

Had my gender scan today a wee boy so so shocked was convinced it was another girl, happy regardless everything looking good

ToeBeans24 · 07/07/2024 18:29

Eeeek congrats @Nbaby i have no idea or guesses yet! My symptoms have settled now causing anxiety! I actually had nausea up until a few days ago but think it was my pregnacare supplement so changed it to a supermarket own and seems to have helped loads!

Sorry to hear yours was so bad! Hope you’re ok now x

Nbaby · 08/07/2024 17:15

@ToeBeans24 Finding it so hard to believe it’s a baby boy, delighted though.
how many weeks are you now?

ToeBeans24 · 08/07/2024 18:14

So happy for you @Nbaby I’m 15 weeks today!
