Congratulations @RW269 Keeping everything crossed for you. You deserve that bit of Christmas magic.

How did your scan go @Noisinmaro? I've been thinking of you. Thank you so much for your kind message below as well. The support here has been so kind ❤️ Hope you're doing really well.

CD2 today for me. We ended up unexpectedly at risk of pregnancy last month without 100% deciding whether we were ready. We DTD a couple of days over Hub's birthday and I had a cramp so did a digital OPK and it came up static straight away. Taken off guard! Nothing came of it though, it's the first time we were unprotected and didnt end up pregnant, so now I'm worrying if we do try again this month, it will be months of negative tests. We can never win!

RW269 · 18/12/2024 17:10

@KittyFantastica Thank you so much! I am a bag of nerves at the moment haha!

That’s good you got a positive OPK, all a step. I hope to hear from you with some good news as soon as possible 🤞✨🩷

How are you feeling now? You’ve had such a rough time I hope you have a nice bit of festive cheer to lift your spirits a tiny bit

@RW269 Wow wee wow that's amazing news...
Also get on aspirin on hospital had me on 150 baby aspirin..( told me helps embeds the placenta, also for age and if your high BLood pressure prone), I'm on 75 aspirin now from.private clinic... well I really hope all goes well. Il say a prayer for your special baba.. .see that's what I'm taking Hope; about one minute feel down with months of negative tests next minute your hit with 2 lines and still don't feel any differ and a whole set of other worries form...
All we have is HOPE.....
Please god.all goes well , keep us posted...

@KittyFantastica well I hope that gives you hope...months of negative tests is a really pain , believe me i had years 11 of it...and ill health....but u also might not have months of negative tests...and get your positive really soon...its every but if not more likely to happen in next 3 cycles ...your body lost a baby it wants to be pregnant so it will be in over drive after your loss to produce eggs....thats what my consultant said, I had a positive only 3 cycles after my mis she said your body wants a baby.....

Regards me all is well...
I had my 20 week scan all went well...thank god..I'm so so so grateful.....
Got my NIPTs result I'm low risk...I'm having a girl....
Consultant did say I can work till paddy's then she signing me off due to age i presume and health concerns....in my head I'm thinking il see when time comes as il be on half pay and I'm flying it and I hope to work as close as I can....
So will see...one day at a time...
Will also do what's advised...just hoping I don't get GD or High blood pressure....
Anyways...keep the good news coming...
Hopefully next year will be a good year for positive pregnancy results for this thread....

Sorry for being a bit silent on here!! I had baby Olaf a smidge prematurely - i didnt need the induction after all - and we have had a bit of a rocky start, but we're settling down now into something that feels more sustainable and everyone is healthy and well. He'll be three months on new years day, which is terrifying!

Hope everyone is doing ok, I'll catch up properly overnight. Sorry I've not looked at MN for a while but am so invested in your journeys will read and reply later and sending love to everyone, i know this time of year can be really hard so huge hugs to everyone.

@RW269 i just saw an email saying you'd updated and ive just had a little emotional cry for you and quickly wanted to say that I have got everything crossed for this Christmas wish, such an amazing thing to see!! Sending you a huge huge hug and hope the progesterone goes ok. Keep us updated on how you're feeling etc :) xxx

ButterflySkies · 18/12/2024 20:58

Had a quick chance to read properly

@KittyFantastica i am so devastated for your loss. I am sending so much love to you. I'm so sorry to read what you've been through. I'm sorry to hear there's no clear answer. I honestly dont know what to say, but hoping you and your partner are both ok.

@Noisinmaro fantastic news!! How are you feeling lovely? X

Noisinmaro · 18/12/2024 21:57

@Butterflyskies congrats on your baby boy...I was wondering about you... whether u had your baby yet...great news...exciting Xmas ahead....

Thankfully all good with me..
Feeling good, actually only told my siblings this eve as hubby is itching to tell his family I told him only if I tell my sisters first...nicely shocked and surprised...
As I'm older I wanted to make the pregnancy short for myself , and a peaceful and private pregnancy is all I want before I out out it...as once news is out it's out...
Thankfully I can hold and keep things quite easily, im so not into being centre of attention...
Haven't told work colleagues...just my boss as wanted to stay on paid leave as was going on no pay.. as pregnancy pay is protected to a point...

RW269 · 18/12/2024 23:19

@Noisinmaro Thanks lovely! You know funny you say that re the aspirin…I had read online about it and this cycle from ovulation I started taking half an aspirin a day so like 150 strength. Could be coincidence but odd timing! Glad all is well with you and you’re plodding along okay! A little girl how wonderful have you thought of any names yet?

@ButterflySkies Thank you so much 🩷✨ Awwh so sweet you had a little cry too haha! I’ll definitely keep yous updated we’ve become a little support group haven’t we haha! Sending all the love ! Xx

@RW269 yip lots names going around...
Victoria
Katherine
Juliet
Kate...there hubby's picks...I won't have the say of a dog as the saying goes..I'll be told what the name is...he's very happy...
Met a baby couple years ago her name was Eveanne or Evanne not sure of spelling and I loved it....must suggest that.....
He is mad on Victoria
I'd be afraid victoria be vikki...not sure I'd be happy on the shortened name vikki...
Dont mind kate or katie as short for Katherine...
I like the name Ella...but he isn't keen...
Name picking is just bitta fun..
Anyways best don't get too carried away and go back to taking it Day by day, one week at a time...

Noisinmaro · 18/12/2024 23:42

@RW269 I'm also on 5mg folic I presume as I'm older...so no harm asking the Dr or consultant next time your in...
I paid alot of money for this advice ( was put on it at private clinic even though already had publuc appointment and wasnt put on it) so if I can share any info I've gained I most definitely will....
Keep us posted and I will keep you in my prayers...hoping all goes well for you....

RW269 · 22/12/2024 06:55

@Noisinmaro oh that’s some lovely names! If you do go with Victoria you could always have Tori as the shortened nickname possibly?
Are you keeping okay ? :)
Ah yes I’m on the 5mg folic acid too, my GP luckily is very on the ball and straight away got me on it :)
my lines have started to darken a little yesterday I’ve got everything crossed it just holds on and sticks 🤞✨

OP posts:
Noisinmaro · 22/12/2024 09:17

@RW269 oh good, that's good your on the high folic, aspirin and progesterone...
Amazing how gp's & hospital different the GP put me on 400 progesterone twice day then the public hospital wanted me off it...I had some left so I kept.taking them I saw private consultant..then the private clinic put me on 200 progesterone once day....
Ireland is way behind UK regards evidence of progesterone & miscarriage....uk are way more on the ball...after 1 mis recommend it...whereas dr in public hospital said its pointless no need...
So hardbto know...but I've read loads whereas it is recommended....I just left better doing something anything while I was holding on to my +ve pregnancy results....
Just take it nice and easy over Christmas, do yee stay at home for chriatmaa or go to famiily and please god all goes well and it will ...I just said right get through each day by day and then I met one week hurdle one week at a time...

I generally don't mind shortened names but vikki and tori I don't really like....but Victoria is lovely....
Any them names I don't mind hubby going with....

Have a lovely Christmas...

Noisinmaro · 05/01/2025 22:34

TTC February 2024 ✨
Racket81 · 07/01/2025 22:21

So nervous at 43 what my family amd friends will think.. not to mention my 11.amd 9 year old boys as me and their father divorced in 2020.. my current partner of mearly 5 years has no children of his own.. won't get excited yet though as lost other 2 at 6 weeks and 10 weeks.

RW269 · 07/01/2025 22:30

Awwh @Racket81 Congratulations lovely! Good thinking getting the progesterone asap 🩷Don’t worry what anyone else is to think, you enjoy the excitement alongside the epic amount of worry ahha. Got everything crossed for you it’s a stayer 🩷✨

OP posts:
Noisinmaro · 07/01/2025 22:49

@RW269 glad you have your scan soon..I remember having a 7 week scan in fear now I'm 23 weeks and so so grateful...best of luck..will be thinking of you Sunday....
.
@Racket81 I'm delighted for you...when your pregnant your pregnant...don't focus on your age...focus on resting drinking lots water....and try eat melon and strawberries...water based foods if you can't eat...I couldn't eat so I ate that..and loop the loops got me through...

Yeah try get progesterone and aspirin...and get a scan at 7 weeks...
I've been through alot myself so this time around... I just concentrated on the day in hand, didn't think ahead, ...got through each day as it came....then got past 10 then 12 weeks...had NIPT test at 14...now I'm 23...
I'm older as.well...
I actually did loads at work to keep my mind off it...went to bed after work for a nap...mighnt be easy for you with other kids...just rest as much as you can and get out for fresh air....
The mind is funny...easy be negative but take it day by day....
Don't be worrying about what people think you probably get to hide it longer as people don't suspect....I told my sisters after 20 weeks nearly 21 and I see them all the time...and I told main boss at 12 weeks but my other manager haven't told her yet...have to do that when she returns from hols...not telling many made it easier for me made it shorter pregnancy...

@RW269 excitement along side an epic amount worry is great way to describe the first trimester....afraid to dream but hoping it all is ok...

Anyways will be thinking of you @Racket81 fingers crossed..please god all will be well...

KittyFantastica · 08/01/2025 09:30

Congratulations @Racket81 Pay no herd to what a gone else thinks, it's your life and you do what you need to. Crossing everything for you. That looks like a spectacular line for an evening pee!

I've also had a positive test yesterday, however, I suspect a chemical. My only healthy pregnancy, I had a very obvious line and progression from day one. The other two (early losses) stayed faint for days and days and I had cramps as well, which I've got this time too. Just a waiting game now.

Noisinmaro · 08/01/2025 21:28

@KittyFantastica oh gosh I'll hold out on hope for you anyways, you've been through so much. Thinking of yee all and your positive tests..

Racket81 · 09/01/2025 17:04

@Racket81 ok fingers crossed for you, my gp gave it to me reluctantly but gave it all the same and ireland is way behind UK on giving it out...so was that today Sunday you were scanned so maybe you got it....
@RW269 that's great you had your scan....oh that heart beat is everything your hoping for....
That's great news...

Racket81 · 12/01/2025 20:08

Thats great news @RW269 so pleased for you. So had a scan but couldn't find a pregnacy so atm been called pregnacy of unknown location. They took bloods again and has gone up from 177 on Friday to 416 today. These were sent to me rhis arvo so not discussed with any medical professionals yet. No bleeding or pain i feel fine. So either too early to detect it or somethings wrong. 1st day of last peruid 9th Dec however cycle is between 29 and 32 days and usually ovulate around day 17/18 of cycle. So could be few days out and only 4plus 4 or 5 but still was hoping they'd at least be able to see the sac. So feeling a little confused and frustrated. They said if it rises only a little bit then they would be worried about eptopic if it doesn't rise or it drops probably a miscarraige imminent but if it doublenor more is normal. So I'm left in limbo I expect they will contact me tomorrow regarding the rise in my hcg. Thank for checking I on me ladies it means alot as when you can't talk to anyone you know about it o really appriciate having you ladies there.
Rachel x

RW269 · 12/01/2025 20:15

@Racket81 oh I’m so sorry todays left you so in limbo. Keeping everything crossed it’s just a tiny bit too early to see anything yet 🤞 have they got you booked in for any more bloods etc to monitor your hcg levels ? Will be thinking about you this week! 🩷
