Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in February 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Jan to Feb! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

Congratulations ladies. I’m now 2DPO so hoping a positive this month after having mc beginning of the month. I tracked ovulation and got a peak and been dtd almost everyday. But totally accept it may not happen this month.

KittyFantastica · 16/02/2024 08:01

Don't be too hard on yourself @CoolSummer89. I am never at my best in the mornings and I'm sure my cat would attest to it too 😅.

I started tracking BBT, but my thermometer was faulty and gave up. I realise I don't think I could have coped with the potential for disappointment if there was a dip where one wasn't expected. But I'm sure I've seen that it's normal to see a dip before a positive? Something to do with implantation? I haven't read a lot about it as I decided not to temp in the end, but I'm sure I saw that somewhere.

CoolSummer89 · 16/02/2024 09:40

Thanks @KittyFantastica you're very kind. I went for a run and feeling a lot more positive. I have been pregnant before (accidentally when I was 21) and I had symptoms very early on. Obviously I am much older now and my body is different but the lack of symptoms means I have nothing really to cling on to. However I have plenty to be thankful/positive about:

  • Remembering how happy I was when ovulation was confirmed using LH sticks and BBT. And just marvelling at all my body achieves.
  • Tracking a cycle which doesn't end in pregnancy makes me learn more about my body and recognising what is 'normal' for me.
  • Been getting into a really good rhythm with exercising and eating well, and (at least) another month of this will benefit both me and any future baby I am lucky to have.
  • The support of this forum where everyone is so kind to one another.

How are you doing today @KittyFantastica ? Are you planning to reach out to a GP about your tests?

SlinkMcSlink · 16/02/2024 16:45

So just back from holiday. 12 DPO and couldn’t help myself and tested as soon as I walked through the door about half an hour ago. Looks completely negative so I must be out.

Still waiting to hear back whether we meet the criteria for IVF funding. I was secretly hoping that I’d just fall pregnant naturally this month even though we have been trying a good couple of years now. Not a great start to the weekend.

emmies86 · 16/02/2024 18:13

Please help. I've been testing my ovulation since last tuesday the 6th when I had my implant removed. I got an empty circle on tuesday, a solid smiley Wednesday and thursday. A clear circle friday then solid smileys on saturday and sunday. This week I got flashing smileys monday tuesday and wednesday and the easy@home tests have scanned as low LH on premom but there has been a visible line since I started them last thursday.

Today I have a high easy@home test and a solid smiley again. I'm so frustrated I keep crying. Can anybody explain this to me?

Noisinmaro · 16/02/2024 19:54

@emmies86 how were you able to use the test stick after getting a solid smiley? ...cant use a test stick for 48 hours....
I use clear blue... this month I got the empty circle...flashing for 3 days then solid smiley...then 48 hours latergit the empty circle....
I'm not sure why u getting results you are...

emmies86 · 16/02/2024 19:59

It was a flashing smiley yesterday only a solid today but I had 2 solid smileys last week with a clear cirlcle in the middle

CharlotteW95 · 16/02/2024 22:45

Hi guys, I’m 11 DPO, had really bad breast pain over the last week and did a test today and I was sure I could see a faint line. So I did what any reasonable and rational person would do and broke the test open to get a better look (my fiancé thinks I’m nuts). Could definitely see a line but by the time I got it open etc not sure if it’s just an evap. I’ve put it on my phone to show up on camera a bit clearer.

I will say this has got darker as it’s dried, but I definitely could see it initially, but my partner couldn’t.

Thoughts?

@CoolSummer89 My GP don't offer tests, unfortunately. It's self referral to the local maternity unit and then nothing until 10-12 weeks when you have your first appointment. They're very up front about there being nothing they can do before 12 weeks. It's not a very reassuring system.

@CharlotteW95 I can see something but I wouldn't say it's particularly reliable. Better to test again when you can, maybe in a few days and with a more sensitive test?

Good luck @babycandy @Choc29 @CharlotteW95!!! Got everything crossed for you all!

@KittyFantastica id massively recommend get a digital in for tomorrow morning, mines just popped up as 2-3 weeks! Which actually is probably bang on for when I ovulated. I'm also exhausted, just had a lie in which is incredibly unusual for me!

Loves I'm going to cheer you all on from the sidelines now - hoping I don't pop up on the March group. Going to embrace this now, try ans relax a little and book an early reassurance scan if i make it to the end of next week and keep everything crossed for a healthy sticky bean.

@RW269 @meepthebeep @Noisinmaro im going to keep everything crossed for you, @Mrshaitchxo thinking of you too! Xxx

Noisinmaro · 17/02/2024 09:13

Choc29 · 17/02/2024 09:31

RW269 · 17/02/2024 09:45

Ahhhh, so happy for you @ButterflySkies! Remind me what day you ovulated?

I'm 4w5d now and it's further than I got with my last pregnancy. My last few mornings of tests have been stronger, so I did my other digital this morning too.

I still don't think I'll relax at all until after the 12 week mark, but we are clinging to this progress and hoping for the absolute best.

I'll stick around also to cheer you all on from the sidelines here now. Wishing you all strong positives and super sticky beans!

@KittyFantastica I'm so happy for you! I hope you can start to relax a little and feel excited now

x1cvv · 17/02/2024 10:12

Hi, I am new here after 3 years of TTC! It really takes it toil on you, seeing those negative results on a monthly basis - it is enough for you to loose all hope and give up!

My husband struggles to understand the full impact this has on me (he’s a lot more positive than I am and believes that timing is a wonderful thing, and it’ll happen when it’s meant to!)

I am now 3 days late, and I’m usually regular with my cycles 29-30 days long!

I have tested, because it’s very hard not too, and I’m a mixed bag of emotions! I used ClearBlue pregnancy test (see photo attached) and I don’t know whether I am longing to see two lines that my husband can’t see! Tried another test, a cheaper brand, and it came back negative straight away!

Oh my goodness @ButterflySkies, good luck with the parties! Those will definitely keep you busy 😄.

There's an October 2024 thread in the Pregnancy forum, and a WhatsApp group I'll probably join. Definitely keep in touch lovely!

CoolSummer89 · 17/02/2024 11:10

ah @KittyFantastica that is really encouraging to see! Best of luck for the next few weeks you will be in my thoughts

SnKcampbell · 17/02/2024 12:35

Hi Ladies

Congratulations to all the ladies who got there BFP this month

Im either 2/3 DPO I haven't tracked using opks or BTT as this is my first month trying so didn't want to stress myself out straight away.

Been using Flo, Get Baby and pre mom apps to log my periods in for good few years i normally range 26 to 32 day cycles and ovulate between day 12 and day 18.

For this month we have been DTD every 3 days from the day my period ended would have liked to do every 1 to 2 days but hubby can only manage every 3 days this did land according to 1 app 2 days before ovulation and another app day of ovulation, we still carrying on with DTD every 4 days for the rest of this month though just in case ovulation was late.

We did have a fertility health check done last year sperm was fine and my bloods and scans came back fine aswell.

14th Feb i did have possible ovulation pains on my left side all day around where my ovaries are and also my hip join pains carried on until lunchtime on 15th Feb, my Discharge though sorry Tmi wasn't Egg white and was just supper wet so been using pre seed lube last few times we been DTD.

Today im having light belly cramps and constipation and also a tender sore throat and feeling like my ears are blocked but maybe a cold coming who knows?

KittyFantastica · 17/02/2024 12:38

Thank you @piechipsgravy and @CoolSummer89 ❤️ Keeping absolutely everything crossed for you both as well that you'll get the news you're hoping for soon.

Hi @x1cvv, didn't want to read and run. That Clearblue looks like it could be an evap, they're terrible for those sometimes. The cheaper brands are sometimes not sensitive enough if it's early days. You can either give it a few days and test again with the ones you have, or try another brand. I got some Wondfo strips this time from Amazon and they are very sensitive. Fingers crossed for you!

Noisinmaro · 17/02/2024 13:12

@x1cvv sorry your going through this....pregnancy tests melt my head...I like your husbands attitude but I understand its sooooo hard....seeing as your late test again in a day or 2.....

x1cvv · 17/02/2024 13:19

@KittyFantastica @Noisinmaro

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! It really is such a struggle, and something that you can foolishly just take for granted!

I will wait until Wednesday (that’ll be a week) and test again if AF doesn’t make her appearance!

🙏✨
