@Lalaland13 can't remember if you've said, is it the One Step ones? That's the ones I'm using and they are a lot more subtle than others so not as easy to spot they are getting darker.

Lalaland13 · 27/01/2024 12:07

Yeah the one step ones- it does look darker today actually 👍

RoseH36 · 27/01/2024 15:39

@Lalaland13 fingers crossed for you! 😄

Hello, excited to join you ladies. I turned 35 this week and have just started cycle 2 of TTC. Decided to go all in and paid for Natural Cycles on my birthday (have heard mixed reviews). Thermometer arrived this morning so will start BBT from tomorrow.

Temperature tracking is SO important. I ovulate late this month and wouldn't have know without temp tracking. We just carried on dtd every other day until my temp went up. Found the ovulation sticks really stressful and won't use them next month. I use natural cycles.

Those Saturdays when your sad as life is drifting by and your not a mum yet #today

CatCaretaker · 27/01/2024 18:44

@worldwidetravel2017 I feel you. Doesn't help that a friend has announced her third pregnancy. She gets 3 easily, and I can't get one 🙁

(I am happy for her, but I think you guys will understand the frustration).

CoolSummer89 · 27/01/2024 18:55

@Sara1988 That's really encouraging to hear. Hope you get some good news this cycle

Those Saturdays when your sad as life is drifting by and your not a mum yet #today

I read somewhere that people were less likely to conceive in winter months. Now that longer and brighter days are round the corner, hopefully some bright news will be waiting for you there too. 💕

RoseH36 · 27/01/2024 20:02

@worldwidetravel2017 you've got so much going on, stay strong, you'll get your chance to try soon 💕

@CoolSummer89 Welcome 😊

Lalaland13 · 27/01/2024 20:26

Sending love @worldwidetravel2017 bring on March ❤️ xx

SnookyPook · 27/01/2024 21:07

@worldwidetravel2017 sending hugs 💕 So much could change this year 💗

@CatCaretaker absolutely understand the frustration. News cannot you hard and simultaneously bring you joy for the person involved. The emotions around TTC are so complicated sometimes. 💕

@RoseH36 @Lalaland13 glad to hear things are still sounding good so far ladies 🙏🏼💕

@CoolSummer89 welcome to the gang 👋🏼

SnookyPook · 27/01/2024 21:08

Sorry autocorrect... *News can hit you hard...

RoseH36 · 27/01/2024 21:11

@SnookyPook thank you. Now I'm just not sure when to stop testing. I know I can't change things but seeing the line is reassuring, especially when I've not had any this dark since a year ago. But also aware at some point the hook effect may occur and then I'd just panic if they started getting lighter

Don't know if you have this near you, but there are placed you can get an early scan for like £70

RoseH36 · 27/01/2024 21:17

@Sara1988 I can get them through my EPAS unit as I've got a history of miscarriages but they won't scan until 6 or 7 weeks so still seems very far off.

I was sort of the opposite this time! I was scared to keep testing cos I couldn't bare to see the lines tailing off again. I didn't ever dare do a CB digital weeks predictor as they brought back bad memories and I was too nervous! Not that not doing them reassured me in any way either but it was quite relaxing not to be constantly analysing tests! Completely get it though. There are so few ways to get any kind of reassurance until that first scan. Great that your lines are looking so strong though! When will you be nearing 5 weeks? X

RoseH36 · 27/01/2024 21:41

@SnookyPook I think for my own sanity I need to stop them, it does feel hard though. With my DS I did 3 then stopped then with my mmc I only did the 1. Now I'm obsessed with testing once a day on the cheapies.
Couldn't recall whether they go by the first or last day of your last period but that either way it would put me around 4 weeks this weekend as my periods only last 3 days so wouldn't make much difference date wise. I'm very much taking things a day at a time though and almost living in denial to stop myself thinking into the future.

Totally get it, it's very hard! Everyone around me is pregnant it's tough.
I went for reiki on Friday and really enjoyed it! Going again next week and will keep it up as I need something to help me relax my mind is so busy all the time.

We have a private app in the rotunda on the 8th, €400 😩 hope we get some answers! Husband getting his sperm tested next wknd.

Have to get my bloods redone, I was listening to a podcast recently on horomones and I think I might be Estrogen dominant as I tick all the boxes so I want to get all retested to bring with me to the app!

I’m sorry @worldwidetravel2017. It’s absolutely bound to get you some days. Well done for being able to acknowledge and sit with it. Squashing things down makes things harder to deal with in the long run. You’ve also just had the most difficult few months both physically and emotionally. Is your pain any better this week? You have been working so hard to get your body as healthy as you absolutely can and you should be so proud of your strength and determination to get to that little baby of yours. Being strong doesn’t mean that you don’t have tough days and you have been so much help to so many of us here in our hard days over the last few months, so, thank you x

@RoseH36 you’re doing so well. I know it feels it, but that early scan isn’t so far away. If the tests are bringing you reassurance then that’s fine. Just keep checking in with yourself and if you find them bringing more uncertainty than joy then it’s time to re evaluate x

Really glad that you enjoyed the reiki @Daniki- did you feel anything physically at the time or did it just feel super relaxing?

@CatCaretaker I know what you mean. It doesn’t for a minute mean that you are unhappy for her or wish any ill, but it just… stings and feels so unfair at the same time. X

Daniki · 28/01/2024 09:04

@Bumblebee413 I found it very relaxing I was nearly asleep but also when she was working on my head I could feel a lot of heat in the area!

Thank you so much all

And thank u 4 this lovely msg too

Im extra emotional atm as have so much going on , its kinda mad

The pain hasnt returned that bad since thankfully.
Drs are doing some inflammation bloods. Theyve also said theyll chase my next gastro hosp appt in 2 weeks if i haven't heard.

Two months til our sunny holiday - so so ready 4 it

I saw a friend and her 2 children yest am - they were all so happy to see me esp the 3 yo - so hard when u just want your own badly.

The whole bmi thing frustrates me - weight found by height alone - well obv my 39f boobs are guna weigh something.

Had some thermal imagery done on arm pits and boobs - as a preventative measure and as some of my weight gain went there - obviously my result came back middle of the road - not very good but not very bad - but kinda questionable and get redone in 6 months - my body has so much going on.

Wishing you all a lovely sunday

RoseH36 · 28/01/2024 10:21

@Daniki hope you get your answers, that's an expensive appointment.

@Bumblebee413 thank you for your wise words. I'm determined to get through today with no testing. I'm still getting aches and feeling a bit sick so taking all that as positive.

@worldwidetravel2017 it's always so hard seeing others have what you want. When I was going through my mmc last Jan I found out that both my sister in law amd a close friend wete both expecting. I felt really angry at the world that they were getting their happy news while I felt my world was crumbling.

Does anyone else gets colds when they are pregnant? Every single time I've had a cold within 2 weeks of finding out I'm pregnant. Woken today with a sore throat, blocked nose and fuzzy head so straight on the honey and lemon drinks. Can't be just a coincidence when it happens every time.

CurlyWurly1991 · 28/01/2024 11:08

@RoseH36 Sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit sick but also that is a good sign! I’m sure the getting ill is very common in early pregnancy, I think you are immunosuppressed during that time (as the sperm is foreign material)? I caught covid around 5-6 weeks and it was much worse than when I’ve had it before despite all the jabs and multiple previous infections.

@worldwidetravel2017 I hear you. A colleague has just announced pregnancy (second child) - I assume just past 12 weeks. Her due date will be in August when the baby I just lost would have been due 😞

Well it’s good news here that DH is up for resuming TTC however I am being reminded how much he dislikes me talking about it too much. So really need to tone that down ! We are looking at booking another holiday for May half term and I’m panicking again about if we conceive then… and how far along… whereas actually I’ve learnt we just have to go for it and cross that bridge if/when we get there. I haven’t even had my first period since the MMC so no idea when my fertility will return. We might not conceive again, or have another MMC. I have to face that possibility.

RoseH36 · 28/01/2024 11:37

@CurlyWurly1991 that might explain it, I'll blame DH for this then 😂. That's what I'm telling myself, it's got to be a good thing.

Totally understand the holiday thing. We're away in May, off to Spain. Haven't booked anything beyond that as I don't feel we can plan too far ahead and yet feel like we have to carry on as normal. We're off to Butlins a week tomorrow for one of their Tots breaks so looking forward to a few days away.
