So after thinking I had early PMT symptoms I thought I'd use a One Step test and there's a line! I had cramping back end of last week but didn't want to read much into it. I'm about 10/11 DPO. Wasn't going to test until tomorrow. Will do a first response later, if that comes up with a line I'll get back on progesterone today.

Oh that definitely looks hopeful! Exciting! Will keep everything crossed for you! Definitely get on the progesterone!

jellyfish2210 · 21/01/2024 10:56

@SnookyPook yes I have Graves' disease and only just started treatment for it. Also have potential scarring complications from my previous c-section. Have a hycosy booked for first week of March. That glimmer of hope has just made this milestone feel worse today. As you say, 3 days to AF still might turn into a positive but today is a struggle

RoseH36 · 21/01/2024 10:58

@jellyfish2210 thank you. I'm so sorry though as I didn't see your post above mine 😪 hitting the 12 month mark is so hard, I just didn't know what we were doing wrong when we had DS so easily. I can't remember if you've said before or not but have you had tests?

@SnookyPook thank you, first time I've ever had a line on those ones.

RoseH36 · 21/01/2024 10:59

@jellyfish2210 just seen your post to Snooky. I remember you saying about the scarring now. Wasn't that being looked into further?

Lalaland13 · 21/01/2024 11:05

Congrats @RoseH36 xx

Lalaland13 · 21/01/2024 11:10

Sorry @jellyfish2210 you sound very sad but indeed it’s a good sign you can get pregnant naturally. It’s such a rollercoaster. Try to get distracted today and enjoy your Sunday xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/01/2024 11:57

Congrats @RoseH36

RoseH36 · 21/01/2024 12:10

@worldwidetravel2017 thank you 😊

Yes I'm getting a hycosy in March. They think with imaging, they should be able to get a better look at the scarring and have a better idea if that's causing issue. I'm still hoping that it's because of my thyroid problems and once that is under control, I will fall pregnant. We can't afford ivf so the tests are more about giving me answers. We will keep trying. Just having a particularly bad day today mentally

Bumblebee413 · 21/01/2024 13:49

@jellyfish2210 I’m so sorry that you’re struggling today. Milestones are extremely hard, particularly the year mark. I found myself really struggling when looking at other babies or pregnancies that I had always imagined would be close to my hoped for one. The diagnosis and treatment of your Graves’ disease will hopefully make a huge difference. The hycosy will hopefully be a helpful step too- the more information you’re armed with, the better you can understand your body.

I know it sounds very unBritish, but it’s absolutely ok to feel low and acknowledge how sucky today feels. I think we spend so much time trying to behave how we think we should rather than how we feel. It is completely understandable to feel this way- you want this baby so much and I would be exactly the same after a cp. That hope after so long and after your loss last cycle.

You absolutely aren’t out until AF arrives- I remember someone on here only testing positive at 18 DPO, but it is still really ok to just be feeling a bit shitty today. You’ve been through an awful lot this year x

Bumblebee413 · 21/01/2024 13:51

@RoseH36 that’s a line! Congratulations! Xxx

RoseH36 · 21/01/2024 14:38

@Bumblebee413 thank you. First response is negative but I know the one step are more sensitive so keeping everything crossed its that and not a faulty test.

@jellyfish2210 I hope that gives you more answers and you get your thyroid sorted too. It's totally understandable having down days, ttc is the hardest journey to go on and any milestone feels extra tough.

RoseH36 · 21/01/2024 16:59

I do actually have a squinted on the first response and a a second one step is a bit darker than this morning. Will test again in couple of days 🤞

jellyfish2210 · 21/01/2024 17:17

@RoseH36 oh that's sounding like positive news (excuse the pun😂)

AF had arrived early for me, that explains the heightened emotional state today. It's never early but could be related to the thyroid medication balancing out my hormones 🙄

Lalaland13 · 22/01/2024 09:59

Testing again now - not sure why I torture myself! Obvs negative, I’m not exactly sure how many DPO I am - 8/9ish, don’t really have any symptoms! Pretty sure I am out - it’s so hard.

Mum37of4 · 22/01/2024 10:10

@Lalaland13 - yep I tested also and of course as it’s far too early BFN 🤦‍♀️ I need to hold off and test Friday ideally.

Lalaland13 · 22/01/2024 10:24

Do you know when you ovulated @Mum37of4 ? I can’t really be sure but I think was 13th or 14th Jan! Tbf we didn’t BD on 13th but did on 12th and 14th! No symptoms … not sure I can even remember how I felt with my son though!

Mum37of4 · 22/01/2024 10:57

@Lalaland13 - honestly I have no idea exactly, but I want to say around Monday/Tuesday going by LH (via blood tests) and cramping I had. However we DTD sat 13th so chances are as good as any of conception I guess. But I need to wait until at least Friday/Saturday I think (And even then may be too early) before I do another test.

Bumblebee413 · 22/01/2024 12:06

I’ve got what looks like the start of a period and some cramps. But you know what, we’ve had two days of joy and this is further than we’ve managed for ten months. So, disappointed but very much ok. May treat myself to a baileys hot chocolate once I’m certain it’s over.

Sending love to you for today @Mrsspoon3 . Hope it goes as well as it can x

Oh no! Thats so sad! Thinking about you x

Lalaland13 · 22/01/2024 12:56

Oh no @Bumblebee413 so sorry, hopefully it doesn’t progress too much. And good to have had the joy of it doesn’t work out. Ohh Baileys hot choc - always a treat

RoseH36 · 22/01/2024 13:08

@Bumblebee413 oh I hope not 😪 keeping everything crossed its not that and is just a bit of spotting.

Def consider getting your progesterone looked at in future cycles - might be a possible ' reason '

RoseH36 · 22/01/2024 13:16

@Lalaland13 thats very early so doesn't mean anything yet. I had no symptoms at all in November with my CP and didn't get a positive test until the day AF was due. That's the lastest I've ever had a positive but shows every pregnancy is different.

Daniki · 22/01/2024 13:22
