Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

@worldwidetravel2017 it's the 2-4 cycle day blood tests which I think is AMH, FSH and thyroid function. DH also having semen analysis through his GP. My GP said she doesn't think tests will show anything as we have been able to conceive quite quickly each time, they're just not sticking. Each miscarriage has been different too, I've had anembryonic, early spontaneous and a missed miscarriage after we'd seen a heartbeat. So they're not following a pattern which makes GP think it's (hopefully, if that is the right word?!) just very bad luck. But I'm glad to be getting the tests done just to get a clearer picture and maybe a bit of control back?!

All makes sense
And so sorry to hear if your loses

Hi ladies, how are we all doing?

im 7dpo (I think, I didn’t track this cycle - just going off my Flo app) and I’ve been getting a ‘heavy’ cramping feeling in my lower abdomen for the last few days and today I have a niggling back ache. I definitely feel like I’m visiting the loo more frequently too 🙈 all symptoms I had when I was pregnant before.

probably wishful thinking right?! 🙈

@mamataylor I'm 7dpo too! I've not really had any symptoms, definitely noticing every niggle in my body though! It's funny how we get so tuned in in the TWW! Are you planning on testing soon? I've got a load of Internet cheapies in the house (dangerous) so I'll probably try on Sunday i think if I can hold out till then!

mamataylor · 18/01/2024 17:59

@Hopingrae aw yay! I’m definitely noticing every niggle too. I think we’re so hyper aware because we really want a bfp!
Last time I waited until the day after my period was due to test so I think I’ll try and do the same again … if I can wait that long!!
I have my fingers crossed for us both that this is our month🤞

Hopingrae · 18/01/2024 18:11

@mamataylor that will be good will power! I've always had my bfps at 11dpo... who knows, I might feel differently nearer the time and hold out to see if AF shows up! I'll keep you updated ;)

mamataylor · 18/01/2024 18:20

@Hopingrae oh no way! I can’t remember when I tested with my little girl and it was only 3 years ago 🙈 I didn’t know anything about EWCM, DPO or anything back then! This time is completely different!
Keep me posted!

Hopingrae · 18/01/2024 18:29

@mamataylor 11dpo is only 2 days before my AF is due so doesn't feel toooo early... that's how I justify it to myself!

@moosey89 @Nic2908 how are you guys doing in your TWW?

I've had a bit of a tricky week and been so up and down emotionally. Had some difficult family news and I had a panic attack at work which i managed to hide (bloody horrible, only started getting them after DS was born). I'm starting a yoga class tonight and I can't wait, feel like my body and mind needs it!

Gracie1825 · 18/01/2024 20:22

I'm confused. I had MMC in December and had erpc 19th December, was surprised when I had ewcm 14 days later but after reading boards etc thought great at least my cycle getting back in track and I'm going to ovulate soon, BD and been patiently waiting loads of symptoms been testing everyday and stark white if I ovulated when I think I did it's been at least 14 days so a test should show wish I'd just get AF so I can move on

Nic2908 · 18/01/2024 20:41

@Hopingrae absolutely convinced myself I’m pregnant!! 😂😂😂😂 your mind does such horrible things doesn’t it. I’m not sure how long I will wait until I test I’m going to try until at least Monday as that will be 10dpo. But we will see. What symptoms is everyone getting? I’m incredibly bloated, and I’ve got this really weird ache around my c section scar.

Hopingrae · 18/01/2024 21:34

@Nic2908 well... you could be right?! Bloody well hope you are at least 🙏 I had sore boobs at my yoga class, wonder if being relaxed made me notice things more! 😄 Feel like I've felt a few pelvic twinges too...

moosey89 · 19/01/2024 16:01

@Hopingrae managing surprisingly well - because I wasn't tracking I don't have an exact dpo so haven't been focused on what day in my cycle it is! It helps that I've got heaps of planning as I've got 3 work trips in March now so I'm busy trying to figure out all my travel plans etc. Don't think I'll have time to TTC that month 🤣🙈

Nic2908 · 19/01/2024 16:51

What’s the earliest that anyone has had a positive result?

Hopingrae · 19/01/2024 17:21

@moosey89 it's so good to be busy with work to take your mind off it! And probably much healthier not to track too closely, I've done that once, it was really nice! Felt like a lot less pressure. Maybe I'll do that next month 🤥
@Nic2908 11dpo for me 3 times (x2MMC and DS) and I think like 14dpo once, that was an early MC. Have you caved?!
I'm 8dpo and did a test this morning randomly...I don't really know why I did, BFN no surprise!!

Hopingrae · 19/01/2024 17:33

@Gracie1825 it's so tough waiting the first cycle out. My first AF was a bit later than normal after medical management, think 3 or 4 days. I really wanted to try that cycle but spotted the whole way through so we avoided it. How long are your cycles normally? Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer either way. There's so much hype about being super fertile straight after, and we just really want to get pregnant again right. But if it's not this cycle, there will be another one x

Figtree11 · 19/01/2024 18:17

Hi all, just jumping on this thread 🙂 I get it @Gracie1825 I had a MMC in November, and only just got my first period this week. The waiting for something to happen was awful, and I was getting myself really down.

I’m disappointed I wasn’t a lucky one to get pregnant again before the first period, but feel in a better headspace than I was.
Things do settle eventually - it just feels like the longest wait ever. I hope things happen soon for you

Nic2908 · 19/01/2024 20:16

@Hopingrae haha not quite but I am wondering how soon I could get away with it!! Which are the most sensitive?

Gracie1825 · 20/01/2024 11:46

@Figtree11 thanks the wait is torture and my body has so many symptoms which is killer aswell but just must be my hormones all over the place... I hope this is your cycle for your BFP
Hope my AF comes soon so I move on too

Hi all, just joining as had surgical management of missed miscarriage on Tuesday.
Physically feeling back to normal, but emotionally traumatised!!
I have a super strong need to conceive ASAP as at the moment I feel like I can't be happy until I'm pregnant again.
It took ages to conceive this one and I'm 39 this year so feeling the odds are against me 😞
How long has everyone been trying so far?
X

mamataylor · 20/01/2024 15:04

Welcome @123456789ss! so sorry for your loss. I had surgical management after a failed natural miscarriage in early December. It took 4 weeks for my period to return if that helps! Sending lots of love your way as it’s such an emotional time ♥️

We were trying for 4 months before we fell pregnant with the baby we miscarried and now I’m in my first TWW following my first cycle after miscarrying.

Sending you lots of luck and baby dust ✨

Nic2908 · 20/01/2024 17:08

I’ve caved and ordered some freers, they get here tomorrow. I’m going to try and hold out until Monday when I think I will be 9dpo. If I can hold out until Tuesday great, but let’s be real that won’t happen.

Hopingrae · 20/01/2024 17:43

@Nic2908 good luck! I've tested twice today... I'm 9dpo. If I stare long and hard enough I feel like I can see something on the latest one but think that's because my eyes go funny! I'll try again in the morning. I've got one step, have you found some real life frers?! I can never find them when I look.

Nic2908 · 20/01/2024 17:50

@Hopingrae i have but only on Amazon, no where else. Fingers crossed for you!!

Chaz693 · 20/01/2024 18:11

Hi ladies, thought I'd join. I'm currently going through my 3rd miscarriage. I have one son who I had after my last two miscarriages. We unexpectedly fell pregnant in December. I was surprised due to how long it took to have my son. But unfortunately today it was confirmed I am miscarrying again. We've always been on the fence about having another child due to our son being autistic and requiring a lot of care but as he's now older and we're in the swing of things it's something that's been on my mind. This last pregnancy has made it clear to me that I want another child. So now we're here about to start our TTC journey again! X

Gracie1825 · 20/01/2024 18:21

Welcome @123456789ss and sorry for your loss, I had a MMC mid December thought there was a chance I conceived straight away but just my body playing tricks on me. Now I'm just waiting for AF so I can try again..I hope your doing as ok as you can be.
