Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Can I please join you all? TTC #2 been trying since about March April. MC in November at around 8/9 weeks.
Currently around 8 or 9dpo in my first cycle since the MC. Trying to hold off testing for another week. I'm desperate for a positive on the one hand but also scared of one at the same time as would just be worried of something going wrong. Whereas it's almost safer to just not be pregnant. Does that make sense to anyone? X

Welcome , of course it does. Just keep holding strong. It will happen.

@Bey I'm sorry to hear that you got AF course you not an idiot..hugs X

miamiamia869 · 12/01/2024 07:25

@Hopingrae thank you. Its so hard isn't it. I know it happens to thousands of people and it can take time but just feels like it's never going to happen. Having a bad day today. Af finally came this morning, after thinking she was coming every day this week. Its always the hit in the face the 100% u r not having a baby, makes me so sad the whole day. So so sorry for your losses. Xxx

for the ones that helped me though last month when my cycle was up the wall for no reason. Imagine my delight with a positive opk on day 14!!

@Sandwichesandwine welcome! How is the holding off testing going?! I completely get what you mean re it almost feels safer not to get pregnant. That thought has been in my head a lot... and yet we're here so we must have hope too, right? Wish you luck this cycle.
@Nic2908 amazing! I'm only a couple of days ahead, I got my first positive opk on Weds! We'll be in TWW hell fun together 😉

moosey89 · 12/01/2024 21:39

@Nic2908 @Hopingrae I'm on similar timings to you! Not doing opks this month, just dtd every other day as I needed a month off from testing but my cycles are pretty regular so it'll be a 3-4 day window max as to when I ovulated! Won't be testing during tww, will just wait for af to arrive (or maybe not) at the end of the month x

Sandwichesandwine · 13/01/2024 13:19

I thought AF had arrived when wiping yesterday but then nothing more rest of the day (never had spotting pre MC so just presumed it was the start as normal) tiny bit more this morning but that's all so far. I can definitely feel it's AF on the way.
I don't know what day you count as cycle day 1 when it's a gradual start! 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

Hopingrae · 13/01/2024 14:35

@moosey89 wishing you luck too! Good for you for holding out until after AF due. My AF tends to arrive on day 13 post ovulation so I'm going to hold out until 10DPO at least. When is your AF due?
@Sandwichesandwine I sometimes have spotting before AF for a couple of days. I read that CD1 counts as first day of continous flow... so if you're spotting that's not CD1 if that helps?!

moosey89 · 13/01/2024 14:54

@Hopingrae due 28/29 Jan, I'm helpfully working away until from the 26th to the 29th anyway, not ideal for starting my period but at least will take my mind off things 😅

DiaryOfaTTCer · 13/01/2024 15:39

Hi ladies how are we all doing?

I'm on 8DPO. I've been symptom spotting the last few days which I know isn't the best idea. Tender boobs and absolutely shattered - was in bed at 9pm last night and slept for 10 hours, and I'm off for another nap in a minute!!

I don't plan to test before my AF arrives, I'll just wait to see if it's late.

Hope you're all doing okay xx

3 weeks after my miscarriage ended I’m pregnant again. Had been getting very faint lines all week and then did a clear blue digital today. Very excited but nervous after last time. My partner is trying to be excited but he’s also worried and I think wants me to calm down a little as he’s worried.

Hopingrae · 14/01/2024 14:15

@christmasmistletoe oh wow, congratulations! Wishing you a healthy and safe early start to your pregnancy! Very understandable that you're feeling nervous, take it one day at a time!

@DiaryOfaTTCer when is your AF due? Not much to report here, I'm 3DPO so just waiting it out for another week!

Nic2908 · 14/01/2024 14:38

@christmasmistletoe whooopppeeeee. Congratulations. I can imagine it’s normal to feel how you are. Find the joy and concentrate on that. X

Bey · 14/01/2024 17:47

Congratulations @christmasmistletoe that's incredible. Understand you both feeling nervous. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy

christmasmistletoe · 14/01/2024 18:01

Thank you think the shock of it is still here. Want to be happy and positive but also don’t want to get my hopes up. Fingers crossed for everyone else.

Anyone sticking around this thread for the next cycle? I'm coming towards the end of AF. Anyone else? I'm feeling really low, I just want to be pregnant my heart aches for the little bean we lost and thinking about how they would have been coming this spring/summer.

I just wish I could wave a magic wand and we could all be pregnant, it's so frustrating that it's one thing that we have no control over at all.

Our early miscarriage was 4 months ago

Nic2908 · 15/01/2024 21:59

I’m still here. I’m currently 2dpo. I’m already going crazy.

Nic2908 · 15/01/2024 22:01

@Bey im trying to focus on what my future could be not what it should be if that makes any sense. Im trying to be positive because the alternative wouldn’t hurt anyone but me. Does that make any sense?

Hopingrae · 16/01/2024 07:29

@bey sorry that you're feeling like this. You're definitely not alone and I'll definitely stick around. I'm currently 5DPO. I don't think we're in with a great shot this month due to timings either.

I spoke to my GP yesterday hoping to get a referral to recurrent miscarriage clinic, she said she can't refer me as my 3 miscarriages are not consecutive (has to be 3 in a row!). But she may be able to refer me to the fertility clinic?! Which is a bit strange, but she said it might be a way in to the miscarriage clinic through the back door!! She is going to do all the bloodtests for me and I've got them booked in for next Friday which feels like something to focus on through the TWW!

You're still in with a chance at 5dpo good luck with the referrals I hope they help

Hopingrae · 16/01/2024 11:23

@worldwidetravel2017 it's the 2-4 cycle day blood tests which I think is AMH, FSH and thyroid function. DH also having semen analysis through his GP. My GP said she doesn't think tests will show anything as we have been able to conceive quite quickly each time, they're just not sticking. Each miscarriage has been different too, I've had anembryonic, early spontaneous and a missed miscarriage after we'd seen a heartbeat. So they're not following a pattern which makes GP think it's (hopefully, if that is the right word?!) just very bad luck. But I'm glad to be getting the tests done just to get a clearer picture and maybe a bit of control back?!
