Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

OMG there’s a line!! It’s got more colour in it in person. Oh my god!! 10dpo I think? Oh my god!!!

Congrats

Retailchick · 22/01/2024 13:57

@Nic2908 That’s amazing! Feeling tempted to do an early test after seeing this!

moosey89 · 22/01/2024 19:32

Yup I have both times. It's settled down now, took a few months both times. Still no idea why it happened 😂

Nic2908 · 22/01/2024 20:05

thanks ladies. I still don’t really believe it to be honest. I feel like I’m expecting it to be negative tomorrow or something. I certainly feel less joyous this time which is really sad. I think having a loss maybe does that doesn’t it

Ladies what vitamins or prenatals are you taking to help you conceive? I'm a little lost been 5 years since I was last ttcing so alot has changed.

Retailchick · 24/01/2024 11:09

@Chaz693 i have been TTC for so long that I only take the folic acid currently as it gets expensive, and will use the pregnacare pregnancy products if/ when I conceive. There is a “pregnacare conception” product too which I would recommend. I have only been pregnant following IVF so it feels like a miracle would need to happen for it to happen naturally…

How is everyone else getting on this month?

Vit d is very important

. / 2000 iu a day = a good dose4 most

worldwidetravel2017 · 24/01/2024 12:07

As per the it starts with an egg book - food choices = important

Fertility foods - snack on carrot
And blueberries & baby tomatoes

I’m in my first cycle of trying to conceive since my MMC. Currently tracking when I will ovulate, and taking seven seas trying for a baby vitamin, along with some extra vitamin D. Wondering if I need to start cutting back on caffeine too

I've just started taking coq10 (expensive) plus a seven seas pre pregnancy multi vitamin and vitamin c

The coq10 is meant to help with egg quality I believe

mamataylor · 26/01/2024 15:41

AF has arrived this afternoon right on time 🙃 I’m grateful that my cycles are so regular but I’m absolutely gutted. This is the first month I’ve really let it affect me.
Moving into next month I’m thinking I may start using Ovulation Sticks.. do you ladies recommend a particular brand & how do you use them? This is new to me!! Previously we just DTD every 2-3 days!

The 4 gbp ish ones off Amazon do the trick - green Pack

Use them am and pm straight after your period

mamataylor · 26/01/2024 19:21

@worldwidetravel2017 good to know! Thank you x

NphysT · 28/01/2024 11:00

Hi all, I'd like to join. I was told I had a missed miscarriage last month 2 days after when I had my scan my 12 week scan where baby was moving and had a heartbeat. Miscarriage itself didn't happen until 2 weeks ago so 3 weeks after I was told baby no longer had a heartbeat so when I would have been 15 weeks. This was my 1st pregnancy.

We're not planning to try again till July because of my SIL wedding abroad and not wanting to risk another miscarriage abroad. Although part of me does want to try now but husband is worried about me going through this again before or during the wedding.

Have started taking the following vitamins as I have pcos: myoinositol, vitamin d high strength, coq10, n-acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, folic acid and a pre-natal vitamin.
About 3 months before we start ttc husband will be taking the coq10 and n-acetylcysteine too.

Bey · 01/02/2024 14:23

Welcome @NphysT so sorry for your loss.

i was getting really obsessed so had some time away from mumsnet. I'm 8dpo now and desperate to test. Anyone know how early a test can detect, I should probably wait until AF is due but I'm desperate to know.

id have been about 4 month along now it hurts, my friend is pregnant and due the same date I was I'm thrilled for her but its a constant reminder of my loss.

how's everyone doing?

Figtree11 · 01/02/2024 15:13

Hi everyone, still waiting for ovulation here.
Only had 1 period since my MMC in November, and if I had a normal cycle I would be ovulating around now. But the MC has obviously messed things up a bit, as my ovulation tests aren’t yet showing a peak.
Trying to not stress & obsess over it but it’s proving difficult!

@Bey i can relate to the urge to test. I think once I do ovulate I’m going to try wait til AF is due, as I found that early testing really messed with my head & wasn’t good for me

Bey · 01/02/2024 15:15

@Figtree11 I just did a cheapy Amazon test it was BFN obviously 🙄 I'm going to try an early response tomorrow at 9dpo

sorry for your loss I hope ovulation arrives soon for you

Figtree11 · 01/02/2024 15:31

@Bey thank you. Fingers crossed for you

mamataylor · 01/02/2024 15:56

Hey everyone! I’ve just finished my second period since my miscarriage in November. My cycle was 28 days again so it’s good to know it’s regular like it was before my miscarriage. On CD7 now, due to ovulate on CD14 according to my Flo app. Planning to do ‘The Sperm meets the Egg’ plan this month so will see how we go!

My fingers are crossed for you ladies currently in the TWW 🤞♥️

Flo app isnt always correct

Often good to consider bbt

mamataylor · 01/02/2024 17:36

@worldwidetravel2017 i did think this! I usually get EWCM around that time too but i guess I can’t be sure without ovulation sticks or temping.
