@Hotmalibu94 oh wow 30 weeks! time flies

how lovely of your family and good going on the nursery! I'm 21 weeks now and had our scan at 19 weeks and all looked great - still keeping gender a surprise.

I have been feeling movements for a while but they are subtle as I got an anterior placenta I found out at the scan but I have seen some big kicks and hubby felt one too :)

I am far too excited so slowly building our nursery too, its just all over the place ahah, I got decals, prints to hang, next to me crib and dresser, moses basket and a friend will sell me her pram for very cheap so very lucky there!

@EK37 how exciting and glad all is well!

@Ncl31 very good ovulation time again, keeping my fingers crossed for you lovely

Ah I'm so glad your scan went well and little one is doing some good cooking in there! Can't wait to find out what you end up having 😍
Ahhh that all sounds amazing 😍 we have some prints too and one wall is getting wallpapered with a jungle mural, can't wait til it's finished! Ill have to send a photo here 😅

CatiaR · 05/04/2024 13:54

@Hotmalibu94 oooh sounds very cool, we must see pictures for sure, my office/nursery looks like a right mess right now lol

Hey everyone,

@Hotmalibu94 your nursery sounds lovely! I look forward to seeing some pics 😊

@Ncl31 I'm so pleased that you had a better ovulation time again, fingers crossed for you!

@CatiaR You sound so organised, such a contrast to me 😂

@EK37 12 weeks!! I can't believe it, so pleased it's all going well!

I am 29 weeks now, other than little boy missing a kidney all seems to be going well - my placenta has moved up so it looks like I'm back on for having the chance of a vaginal birth which I'm so pleased about as I really didn't want a c section if I could avoid it!!

Unfortunately it's been a bit of a tough time as our 3 year old dog passed away quickly and unexpectedly after a short and pretty traumatic illness, which hasn't just depleted the baby fund but has just left me heartbroken, she was my furry best friend and I had so many plans for maternity including her so it's been a pretty tough time 😭

I've done next to no preparation for baby, and need to get my head back in the game - we have a pram and car seat and a couple of clothing bits but nothing otherwise but I do have a friend who's baby has just grown out of the next to me, bouncer etc and has offered them to me so at least some bits are in hand!

CatiaR · 05/04/2024 17:12

@Hollie18 ahh glad baby boy and you are ok.

so sad to hear about your dog. I know the feeling of losing a pet but never that young

I’ve working hard on training my 18 month old teenage golden to calm down!

not sure organised but the perks of working for a baby retailer is that I’ve accumulated a bunch of stuff from sample sales and from when our outlet shop closed so heavily discounted items.

Hi everyone,
Can I join in with the conversation please??
I am 7dpo, and it is the first month of trying, and oh my goodness the symptom spotting I am doing!!
I am due on next week, fingers crossed for no period next week, but who knows! I have been having cramping at the start of this week, nausea in the mornings, extreme exhaustion, I feel like I keep forgetting things like yesterday morning I was getting ready for work and started putting my pyjamas on!!
I did a test though yesterday because I couldn’t help myself and it came out as negative, so I think I’ll be trying again next cycle!
How is everyone getting on??

Hotmalibu94 · 05/04/2024 18:00

@JM1997 best of luck! How long have you been TTC? Let us know how you get on, when are you planning to test? 😊

Hotmalibu94 · 05/04/2024 18:00

@Hollie18 oh I'm so sorry 😭 that's awful. Take care of yourself lovely ❤️

JM1997 · 05/04/2024 18:57

@Hotmalibu94 thank you so much! This is our first month trying, I honestly haven’t symptom spotted so much in all my life, every twinge and body change I’m questioning! I tested yesterday, and it was negative but I’m not sure if it was too early with being 6dpo yesterday!!

EK37 · 05/04/2024 21:41

@Hollie18 oh I’m sorry, the loss of a pet is so awful, take care of yourself ❤️❤️

@JM1997 ahh let us know how you get on! If it helps I didn’t have many symptoms the month I fell other than some spotting at 9dpo and then cramping the day before I tested! Honestly I know it’s easier said than done but try not to symptom spot it drives you crazy as the months go on! are you tracking your BBT?

JM1997 · 05/04/2024 21:44

@EK37 absolutely I’ll let you know how I get on! Thank you for sharing your symptoms too, it is so hard to not symptom spot isn’t it. My partner keeps telling me to relax but it is just so hard.
Oooh what is BBT I’m so new to this. I’m tracking my fertile window on Flo, and my period but that is it. Is there anything else I should be doing??
It is so lovely to find this group, and you all seem lovely, thank you for having me!

etaketak1991 · 06/04/2024 07:12

Hey everyone! ❤️ Sorry about the massive paragraph while I catch up with everyone 😂

@Hotmalibu94 Yay 30 weeks! Final stretch! Your baby shower sounds lovely ☺️ Are you thinking about packing your hospital bag soon?
@Ncl31 Best of luck for this cycle 🤞 Great to hear that your ovulation was on CD15 again, the meds are definitely doing their job!
@EK37 Aw congrats on your 12 week scan! It's magical, isn't it?
@CatiaR Sounds like you're making good progress on the nursery, how exciting 🥰
@Hollie18 I'm so sorry to hear about your pup ❤️ What a difficult time for you, take care of yourself.
@JM1997 Good luck with this cycle! I didn't get a faint positive until 11dpo so still plenty of time. My (now first!) daughter was conceived on the first try so it is possible!

I'm 23 weeks now and baby is kicking a lot more regularly which is a big relief. Bump has started feeling quite heavy so cracking out the support band! I still need to move my girl out of the nursery and into the loft to make her new room. I'm a bit nervous about her not being on the same floor as us, but she's almost 4 and confident on the stairs (to the point where I caught her using them as a slide 😂) so hopefully everything will be okay. I think the big switcheroo is planned for May, but I did warn DH I'm probably going to be useless helping by then 😂

EK37 · 06/04/2024 07:50

@etaketak1991 ahh that’s so exciting thinking about nurseries! Glad all is well! ❤️

@JM1997 BBT is where you take your temp every morning starting the first day of your cycle before you get out of bed and do anything else, your temp will be lower at the beginning of your cycle and then once you have ovulated it will rise and stay high until you either get your period again or get pregnant! It’s really handy but I did become a bit obsessive after a while so depends if you want to do that!

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 08:55

@etaketak1991 thank you so much, aw thank you!! I have woken up this morning with really tender boobs and nauseous, but who knows!!
that is amazing that your 23 weeks now and baby is kicking, I am so excited for you and your family what a fantastic time for you all. Good luck with your pregnancy and keep us updated how you get on!

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 08:56

@EK37 thank you so much for explaining BBT to me I’ll definitely take a look into it! I had never heard of that, any other tips you’ve please do send my way!

Hotmalibu94 · 06/04/2024 09:09

@JM1997 for me the first couple of months of trying I was doing Flo fertile window but for me it actually turned out to be wrong! So just keep in mind it might not be all that accurate, it basically assumes you have the 'standard' length luteal phase (post ovulation), whereas for me I started measuring BBT a few months in and found out I was ovulating later and had a shorter luteal phase! I really wanted to not get too into all the measuring etc but it definitely did help for me.
My TWW when I conceived I didn't have many symptoms, but I was HUGELY off sex (like didn't want to be touched at all 😂😂) and a bit crampy just before I tested positive :)

@etaketak1991 gosh yes Id guess I better had start thinking about it soon! I'm hoping by the end of April we will have the nursery done, which means I'll have been able to get all the baby clothes washed and put away 😅 then I can start thinking about my bag I guess!
Gosh big girl moving rooms! 😍 She'll probably love using the stairs as a slide every day then 😂 so exciting!

@CatiaR our spare room is currently a complete shell 😂 can't wait to get some progress on it.
Ahh amazing about the discounted baby stuff 😅 I'd be spending all my money there 😬

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 09:58

@Hotmalibu94 thank you for letting me know about Flo. What did you decide to use instead that you found more accurate?? That is a good symptom for thinking about!
That will be exciting to have the nursery all done!

Hotmalibu94 · 06/04/2024 10:17

@JM1997 I used natural cycles and found it really good but it was quite pricey for the year. A lot of the ladies on here used a different app. The main thing is you need to use a specifically Basal Body Thermometer, as it goes to 2 decimal places and is more specific for the minute changes your body goes through!
I've attached my 2 last charts, one was the cycle I got my bfp and is less clear, because its manually corrected ovulation to earlier based on my due date, but I've marked when I actually ovulated on the screenshot 😅 the other one is the cycle before and is pretty straightforward, you can see the change in temperature really clearly on both of them though!

Another method of checking ovulation is to use LH test strips (OPKs) but I didn't want to pee on sticks all the time, didn't seem very environmentally friendly 😅

@Hotmalibu94 thank you so much for providing the different ideas of things to use. I’ve also just taken a look on clear blues website as well and they’ve an ovulation calculator. I’ll definitely look into those things, I have learnt so much this cycle and if I’m not pregnant have a better understanding of things to try etc! As they say trial and error!

Hotmalibu94 · 06/04/2024 11:24

@JM1997 best of luck for this cycle anyway! Hopefully it'll have worked first time for you 😍

JM1997 · 06/04/2024 12:49

@Hotmalibu94 thank you so much! I’ll let you know how it goes ☺️

Hotmalibu94 · 29/04/2024 14:31

Hey, how is everyone? 😊

Hotmalibu94 · 29/04/2024 14:48

We had our 32 week scan last week, which has shown the placenta has moved out of the way 🎉 baby was not quite in the right position though so we need to keep our fingers crossed that she sorts herself out 😂
Went on our little babymoon trip over the weekend which was so so lovely 😭♥️
Now back in work and I only have this week and next week to do before I'm off 🙌

That’s great news your placenta has moved. Fingers crossed your little lady gets herself in the right position…. Cd17 today, I’m awaiting my peak for ovulation. Ratio is up to 0.39 this evening so hoping that’s the start of the rise.

Hollie18 · 29/04/2024 17:44

@Hotmalibu94 I had my 32 week scan too last week and my placenta has also moved! 🥳 so fingers crossed we are both able to go into labour naturally!

How exciting 😊 I have a 5 day trip to Kos in Greece from this Sunday with my mum and brother (it was booked before I was pregnant) I'm looking forward to chilling out! However had to be monitored for my blood pressure last week (it was all fine in the end) so now a tiny bit worried that they'll say that I can't go when I have my midwife appointment on Wednesday 🤞🏼 it's all ok!

Oh wow! How exciting that you are finishing work so soon! I still have a while yet as I have chosen to start my maternity a week before my due date, I'm undecided as to whether I'll be glad of that (if I'm late or to have the extra time on the other side) or whether I'll be wishing I had done it earlier!!

How is everyone else doing?
