I just have to share our news, on the month of starting IVF we’ve just got our first every BFP 🥹🥹 I’m in total shock, over 2 years ttc and it finally happened at the last possible chance 🙌🏼

if any of you used easy home hcg tests and still have your line progression pictures would you mind sharing these, my 15 dpo line isn’t as dark as I was expecting but was also expecting it to come up a dye stealer after getting 2-3 weeks on cb so my expectations may be a bit high!! 😂

Ah this is amazing news congratulations!!
im sorry I deleted my line progressions after my miscarriage, I didn’t want to have that trigger on my phone
heres to a happy and healthy 9 months x

etaketak1991 · 05/06/2025 06:26

@Roseberry22 Amazing, congratulations!! Not on the easy home strips, but I didn't get a dye stealer until about 18/19dpo with regular boots test. I never got a dye stealer on the cheapy Amazon tests 😂 Sending sticky baby dust ✨

CatiaR · 05/06/2025 07:11

@Roseberry22 congratulations lovely! I don’t think mine were dye stealers either these were my ones 😊

wish you a happy and healthy 9 months!

congratulations!!! What lovely news to see in the morning 💛
when are you due?
im due Feb 2026. Here are my tests. Don’t think I had anything close to a dye stealer until 17dpo.

Thank you all 🩷 I think my expectations were a bit high for the easy home tests 😂 going to test again this morning and I’ll post a picture

@MM013 my due date is February’s well! Around the 10th ✨

Hotmalibu94 · 05/06/2025 08:49

@Roseberry22 congratulations! Wishing you the best 🥹
I never got dye stealers on the cheapies so try not to worry 😊

Hotmalibu94 · 05/06/2025 08:56

@Hollie18 I wasn't as bad as I thought I'd be going back to work. I think the fact it's a new job helped. I've done 2 days now (work Mon, wed, Fri) and it's been really good. Evie's having a great time with her nan too 😊 I'm glad George is feeling better after his hospital stay 😩

@etaketak1991 they're all so different aren't they! Evie doesn't move yet, we're working on standing now as it's something I can help her do 😂

@MM013 best of luck for the next 9 months 🥹🤞

@CatiaR sounds like lots of amazing developments 😊 they really do mess with sleep though 😂 congratulations on the promotion 😊

MM013 · 05/06/2025 10:04

@Hotmalibu94 Thank you! :)
How old is Evie now? I'm only a few weeks in and already anxious about having to tell work and come up with a return to work plan. I know it's early days, and anything can happen.. but just hearing how other mums have handled it has been helping me.

@Roseberry22 I'm due around 7th Feb according to my app. Very cool that although a lot of people on this thread already have their little ones, we're both on this journey together.

Hotmalibu94 · 05/06/2025 12:08

@MM013 she's going to be 1 on the 24th June 🥹
With my job I had to tell them straight away I was pregnant due to the risks involved in my job. But they were great to be fair, I had a risk assessment done very early on and my responsibilities reduced a bit. And then I decided I wasn't going back 😂 but they were actually really good about that too. And I've probably been as lucky as I could have been financially with it all as I had 6 months at 90% pay and then 3 months of stat, none of which I had to pay back. And then at the end of may I got almost 2.5k of holiday pay 😂 it's been great.

Hollie18 · 05/06/2025 18:44

@MM013Sorry to butt in but I just thought I would give you my experience as it has been a little different from @Hotmalibu94! I have an office job and actually didn’t tell work until a week or two before I legally had to, I believe it was 15 weeks before my due date so 25 weeks! They had no problem with that and the maternity process was started at that point 😊 I have also been fortunate that I received 6 months full pay from my employer and then 3 months statutory following that and it’s only been the final 3 months that I haven’t been earning. I have gone in for a few KIT days which has been nice to see everyone etc and am now preparing for my return to work mid next month, and have organised a nursery place for George etc 😊 please let me know if any of that didn’t make sense 😂😂

@Hotmalibu94I am going back Monday, Tuesday and a half day Wednesday so feeling quite confident about my hours but nervous about George going into nursery but I know he’ll have a great time! Omg George is on the move massively! He’s standing independently and crawling at speed 🤦🏻‍♀️ enjoy her still being where you put her hahahaha!

@Roseberry22massive congratulations! Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! Also, don’t worry about those tests, mine never got particularly dark either!

MM013 · 05/06/2025 22:56

Thanks @Hotmalibu94& @Hollie18
always good to know how other mama’s manage work & kids.
I have an office job, so I don’t think I will tell them for some time anyways. Still not sure how long I’m going to take off or how I’m going to juggle it all financially. But one day at a time. For now, I’m just focusing on growing this baby and hopefully having a healthy pregnancy 🤞🏽

Hollie18 · 06/06/2025 08:06

@MM013absolutely, don’t worry about telling them for now, you’ve got a while until it becomes a must! Give your code of conduct a read over to make sure you understand the maternity pay offerings and then my advice would be to work out how much money you will need for your fixed monthly expenses deduct what work will pay you and then start putting anything you can away even if it’s little bits here and there it really helps long term - but definitely don’t stress about it! Just focus on your baby and enjoying the pregnancy 😊 everything works out in the end!

MM013 · 06/06/2025 08:34

@Hollie18this is exactly what I needed to read this morning 🥰 I think I’ve spent the 12 days since I found out worrying and stressing and haven’t really had a chance to be calm and happy. So going to just go with the flow today. I don’t need to tell work until 15 weeks before baby is due, so I can work all of that out in a few weeks time. For now I’m going to focus on keeping myself moving, and being as calm and happy as possible. I’m sure everything else will work out in time 🥰

Hollie18 · 06/06/2025 09:08

@MM013100% don’t stress about it! You have loads of time, just enjoy it 😊 everything works out in time!

Hotmalibu94 · 06/06/2025 13:10

@MM013 definitely don't stress!
I did the same as @Hollie18 , saved a bit each month just because I knew I wanted the whole year off with her. And actually by the time we got to a year I felt ready to go. Before then I was so anxious about it but we'd gotten into such an easy routine with food/bottles/sleep that it's easy for anyone else to replicate it if I'm not there so it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!

MM013 · 06/06/2025 15:17

@Hotmalibu94 that sounds so lovely, and I'm so glad you were able to find a routine and return to work timeline that worked for you.

CatiaR · 05/01/2026 00:51

Hello everyone! It’s been ages! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and new year.

@MM013 and @Roseberry22 you guys are in the home stretch if I remember correctly? Good luck!

I bet all your little ones are all grown up now 🥰 Amelia is already 17 months old.

MM013 · 05/01/2026 00:53

@CatiaRso lovely to hear from you! Can’t believe Amelia is already 17 months. How was your Christmas with a toddler? Bet she had an amazing magical time!
yup - you’re right. Can’t believe you remember. Baby boy should be here in 3-4w times (and hopefully no sooner)!
sending lots of love to you & Amelia - and everyone else on this thread :)

CatiaR · 05/01/2026 02:25

@MM013 oh it was fun but since going to nursery it’s sickness after sickness. We had a short break at Christmas but she’s going back in tomorrow and hoping not bringing another thing back!

ooh not long now! Hopefully baby boy stays put for you, Amelia was too eager and came two weeks early.

we definitely wanted a second one and were planning on trying after her second birthday but my cycle betrayed us this month and even tho it should have been a safe day I’ve ended up pregnant again lol 😂 only found out today and was a bit of a shock but still within what we wanted since they’ll have 2 year apart all going well. So now starting to get my head around it and getting excited for the first scan in a few months

@CatiaR Lovely to hear from you, and congratulations on your surprise BFP! The first winter bug season of nursery is always the worst, my oldest has barely been ill like it again 😂 I hope you have a smooth 9 months and hope you manage to get lots of naps in, being pregnant with a toddler can be exhausting ❤️

@MM013 Eek not long to go!! How are you feeling?

CatiaR · 05/01/2026 07:13

@etaketak1991 oh the bugs have been horrible. 3 months in and hope it gets better after winter. Lack of sleep is my middle name at the moment as she doesn’t sleep very well these days so doubt I’d nap and working full time but we will manage 😂

Hotmalibu94 · 05/01/2026 09:20

Hi everyone!!!
Firstly congratulations @CatiaR on your BFP!! How amazing 😍 wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months ❤️

Evie is 18 months old now, and such a character! Incredibly sassy, hilarious (and does stuff because she knows it's funny which is cute), she totally loves singing which is just my favourite thing 😍

She was gutted about the Christmas tree coming down yesterday 🙈 she had a right hissy fit.

@MM013 good luck for the home stretch!! Hope you're doing ok!

CatiaR · 05/01/2026 10:27

@Hotmalibu94 aww she sounds lovely! Amelia is similar but likes to run around and dance 😂

she swatted the tree a couple of times and the baubles but wasn’t overly interested xD

I was very surprised and we were planning to try for another 6-7 months but it’s also fine 😂
