I'm currently 2nd cycle TTC no2. I'll be 11dpo on the 25th Dec. Thought it would be nice to have a thread going for anyone testing over the holidays, for moral support and hopefully congratulations 🎉 all welcome to join x

@Bex4567 I'm having some blood tests on Friday. I just did one of those online consultation things with my Dr surgery explaining my age (38) and previous loss, the Dr booked me for bloods immediately without asking any more questions. She hasn't booked day 3 bloods, but there's 5- 6 different things they are testing for on Friday, so I guess I'll see what the results from that are before asking for day 3.

Hi everyone. Long time lurker but thought I'd finally join the chat as you all seem like such a supportive group.
It's our first time TTC properly this month. We've not used contraception for over a year but first month of properly trying and tracking ovulation.
According to ovulation tests, I had my surge on CD17. We did the BD on CD16 and CD17. I suppose now I enter my TWW. Not really sure what symptoms I should be looking out for or if we did it at the right time. It's all new to me.
Not expecting anything on our first go, but I'll be testing the week between Christmas and New Years.
If anyone has any tips please let me know 🥰

Hi @Bb245 welcome, on the months I had chemicals I bd the days leading up to the surge (this could either be every second day or every day) then the day of the surge and also the day after so I don’t know what one actually got the egg but that’s made me feel like I need to cover the day after too.

@NeeNaw12 this is my whole cycle so it's gone up and stayed above cover line but no increase for 3 days now. Just feels a bit odd. Tbf I'm sure this cycle will be out anyway but trying to be positive. You're doing better than me if you're 6dpo and no POAS yet!

I BBT, I think because you’ve had a temp increase above the cover line after a positive LH test, I think that’s your red line on the chart? Then you likely ovulated around CD21

@GHJ I think that looks fine tbh. I wonder if it just looks a bit odd the way that the temps are grouped. Your temp has stayed consistently above the cover line so I'd say it's looking OK. I don't think it has to keep going up each day.

Is there some secret that we don’t know about?! Every month me and DH try our best and we haven’t fallen pregnant. It appears so easy for some and hard for others! Anywho I will treat myself to some chocolate today and bring on January.

@GardenBea I'm feeling the same only because It took almost 2 years last time and I feel like I don't have time to wait now!! I'll be 34 early next year and want to crack on!! How do some people get pregnant so easily! I did find myself thinking "imagine getting pregnant...accidentally!!!"

This is only the first month of not using contraception for baby number 2 for me and I am also due around Christmas eve, let's not bow out till she arrives (IF she arrives...)

@GardenBea cheese and wine is definitely a small consolation at least. Sorry it's a BFN - still a bit of time before your AF is due though x

Trying for Number 2, this is my second month trying. A few days ago I posted a thread about a pregnancy test I did as I could see a second line, turns out it was an evap line after doing another 5 tests since and them all being negative. I am 36. Feeling a bit down today about it all, due on in two days x

@MerryMissie Oh I don’t understand it! Also people that fall the 1st or 2nd month, or that know exactly what night they conceived 😵 Of course, I am very happy for them but part of me feels that it is so unfair for us.

@Boatlifelover sorry to hear about your chemical. Is so difficult, especially when you want something so badly. That's why I'm trying to hold off testing early this time ... just in case.
Saying that, AF is due 29/12 so will probably test Christmas Eve and Christmas Day just so I know if I can have a glass of fizz 😅
Think it's going to be nosecco for me this Christmas either way as I won't know either way until afterwards

I am 38 ttc #2 and I am 7dpo today.. due AF on 27th

Trying to stay away from the tests even though I know I will cave & start at 9dpo!

The Only thing that is different for me this month is I had terrible lower backache through 5&6dpo, today it’s much better.
Not sure if it means anything but I don’t usually suffer with back pain even when AF is due.

I'm 37 and worry my clocks ticking were kn month 5 sending u and everyone else baby dust for this month hopefully one of us gets a bfp🤞🤞🤞

I honestly don't remeber it being this hard conceiving my youngest but then he is 13 now 😬so it's been a while
It's so defeating each month af turns up before nice to get a bfp at new year when I'm due on

I too am worried about my clock ticking! So depressing at times.

Took me 7 months to conceive my 4 year old, I can only hope it doesn’t take longer this time! 🤞🏽 for lots of BFPs 🤞🏽

@NeeNaw12 @Roseberry22 thanks both for looking at my chart. I think tbh both today and yesterday it's said 36.3 and I've tested again and got 36.5 so might be supposed to be lower than recorded. I don't know normally I go up and get a bit higher but maybe a difference is a good thing as it's always been negative so far!

Omg I may be going insane and it's probably not even a line or it's false or something but can anyone see anything here? The test has been finished a while ago so I know shouldn't interpret it after but there was the faintest squintiest line that's got darker after. I had a definite no doubt bfn this morning (8dpo) but my wee is definitely more concentrated now. After 8 months of stark white tests I'm getting carried away. I've done another same brand test (top one in second pic) on the same sample which is very very faint the timer has literally just gone off on this one.

I can see a very very faint line….

I'm not going to tell husband until I'm sure, I normally get him to strain his eyes at blatant bfns but this time I'm going to wait and be sure. I honestly can't believe it. I have already cried and got carried away but will see tomorrow as with the luck we've been having it's probably nothing. However I'd honestly started to give up hope, just chased up my fertility referral with the GP this morning! So even if it's negative at least it's given me a bit of positivity!
