Has anyone had a BFN at 11dpo then went on to be positive? I’m starting to think I’m maybe out this cycle:( I got a BFN on a clear blue early detection with FMU today. AF is due on 23rd.

Sorry to hear about your son, I hope he’s ok! Don’t think I’ll be far behind you, fingers crossed for a lovely Christmas present of a positive test 🤞🏻

He’s okay lol just a typical 2 year old boy who thinks he’s spider man and jumps off any surface he can🥴😂, definitely keeping fingers crossed for over Christmas 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Hey gang, how is everyone this month?

Update here, lots of EWCM yesterday (CD13) ovulation is predicted at CD16 and OPKs seem to be steadily getting darker, I'm testing AM and PM currently.

I've also been temping and looking forward to hopefully seeing a rise later this week to confirm OV.

Alexandra1993 · 05/12/2023 17:08

Hey!

that’s what we like to hear! Lots of EWCM. Ive been drinking grapefruit juice from the start of my cycle which apparently helps to produce loads of ewcm! I’m cd 11 so due to ovulate in 2 days so at my most fertile now. DTD the last 3 days so Cycle days 9/10/11 and will keep at it through to cd 15. Can’t wait to get past the majority of the TWW. Not sure when I will start testing. Probably 10dpo if I can hold out xxx

therealpatmustard · 06/12/2023 14:09

@Alexandra1993 Has the grapefruit juice helped?

I got an opk which has a test line as dark as the control last night (CD14) and then this morning and lunch time (CD15) I'll do one for luck when I get home from work and hopefully it will be a tad darker so expecting OV CD 15/16/17 but will hopefully confirm with temping in the next few days- never used a BBT before so it's my first chart.

We DTD CD 14 and will do 15/16 or 17 to be sure.

You guys are impressive DTD every day! when is AF due?

Fingers crossed for us all!

LilPearl · 06/12/2023 21:47

Hey ladies, nice to be back! I'm CD14 today with predicted ovulation on CD18 as usual. OPK light but getting steadily darker since this morning and I've been bbtemping for the first time the past two weeks ☺️ excited to get going this month. We are two women using a donor x

happymum1001 · 06/12/2023 23:22

Hi ladies! Hope you are all doing well:) I’m not testing with OPKs or temping this month, I’m crazy busy with work & Christmas this month so I’m just going with the flow, will BD on days leading up to when I usually ovulate & after too but not stressing too much this month x

therealpatmustard · 07/12/2023 07:16

@LilPearl my first time temping too, I have an irrational fear I won’t get the temp rise- I need to chilllllll. The first few weeks in zen, then it gets to OV and it’s hard to not obsess.

@happymum1001 hello again! So good
to have keep busy.

Alexandra1993 · 07/12/2023 10:46

Haha we’re quite a high sex drive couple anyway so it usually is everyday! Or every other day.

yes the grapefruit juice has worked wonders for so many different reasons. Lots more CM and also my moods/hormones have been a lot more regulated. Also I suffer with UTI and thrush quite frequently due to some meds I have to take and I havnt had any at all! It seems to flush all toxins out.

im using the clear blue advanced fertility monitor to track everything, think it will show peak tomorrow. Have you ever used this? It’s really good!

I’ve never tracked BBT as I think it’s too much hassle and also my temp goes up and down like crazy anyways! I just go by the sticks as really if you’re doing it daily or every other day it shouldn’t matter as you will catch it!

Alexandra1993 · 07/12/2023 10:48

I think this is a good idea! I know the stress of it all can have a huge impact. The hardest part is the 2ww I find. The last time I was pregnant I just had sex once on day 12, no clue when I ovulated or anything but I knew it would be around that day and then I didn’t test until about 11 dpo. But then again I didn’t expect to get pregnant or wasn’t really trying hard. This is cycle 3 and I know I did everything right the last couple months and it’s not happened but I have been stressing about it and I’m sure that’s why it hasn’t happened. Also drinking lots more water this cycle so hoping that helps.

Alexandra1993 · 07/12/2023 10:51

How exciting! Let us know how the bbt tracking goes! X

therealpatmustard · 08/12/2023 10:48

@Alexandra1993 So glad the grapefruit juice works! strangely, I eat a few grapefruits a week but just because I like the taste of them, I never considered it could help with CM but would explain why I always have it!

Did the Clearblue work?

I think I OV yesterday- perhaps at night time due to a sore stomach (could have been all the food I ate though..) I had peak OPK Wednesday night but pretty strong OPK on Tuesday night too.

Annoyingly a small temp rise this morning, was looking for a big spike, but I did test earlier as I had to get into work sooner, so I shall wait to see what tomorrows says.

We BD Mon/Weds/Thurs so SURELY we caught it?!😩

I suppose I count today/tomorrow as 1DPO?

LilPearl · 11/12/2023 18:12

Hi ladies, the bbt tracking has me even more baffled than before. It dropped this morning (supposedly 1 or 2dpo) and some say that's what it should do and some say it shouldn't. It's a minefield!

Feeling positive though, saw a lone little Christmas decoration at the weekend with the name we would choose on it and it felt like a sign.

How's everyone else? Are you into the countdown yet? X

Alexandra1993 · 11/12/2023 21:25

@therealpatmustard how are you getting on?? Any symptoms yet? :)

Alexandra1993 · 11/12/2023 21:27

@LilPearl aww that does sound like a cute little sign! I’m 2 DPO today and honestly i swear to god I keep feeling sick, it’s so weird. I know it’s way too soon to be getting symptoms but I keep feeling dizzy and like I’m going to throw up.

we DTD everyday running up until ovulation but had an event that day so couldn’t do it, I’m hoping I’ve caught it. According to research the most fertile days are the 3 days before ovulation so really hoping.

how are you getting on?

11dpo BFN
therealpatmustard · 12/12/2023 11:00

@LilPearl My chart did that too! It went up slightly 1DPO then dropped again at 2DPO before going up a decent amount at 3DPO and then the same again 4DPO. I'm 5DPO and stopped temping now as I was finding that I wasn't sleeping very well as I was concerned I'd miss my alarm and take the temp at the wrong time. Now I know the temp has gone up I can be confident I've ovulated and done my part so fingers crossed for the rest.

Also, cutest story about the Christmas decs.

@Alexandra1993 How are you feeling today? I mainly just want to eat everything but I think that's fairly standard for me in the TWW. I never experienced sickness earlier than 6 weeks with number 1&2 but from then on it was HORRIFIC.

Feeling v positive this cycle!

LilPearl · 12/12/2023 11:04

@Alexandra1993 and @therealpatmustard so grateful for you ladies. I was trying to explain to my partner why I feel slightly crazy and can't control the obsessive symptom spotting and testing but I think you have to be in it to get it!

Great news re bbt @therealpatmustard hope you sleep easier now! All the conditions are right ☺️ when will you hold out until?

Hope you feel better today @Alexandra1993 !! Doesn't sound like a good day at all feeling constantly sick. We've made it to 3dpo! Xx

Alexandra1993 · 12/12/2023 11:05

@therealpatmustard

honestly I’m feeling very positive this cycle too! Something feels different and I can’t make out why. Maybe because I know we hit everyday before ovulation haha. But also I know I made some healthy life style choices this month so hoping that has helped!

honestly the 2ww is horrible though! Nice to go through it with others. When will you both test? Part of me is wanting to wait until I miss my period but I know I won’t be able to hold out that long. I’m thinking I’ll test from 9dpo which will be Monday, but only using the easy at home strips, or do I hold out until maybe like 12dpo and missed period ahhhhh.

also I have thrush atm! Came on yesterday! I very rarely get it. I did have antibiotics up until a few days before my fertile period but no thrush when I stopped them. Now I have it. Wondering if it’s the change in hormones x

therealpatmustard · 12/12/2023 11:17

@LilPearl @Alexandra1993 So glad for the company today!

I was trying to hold out testing until next Wednesday which would be 13 DPO for me so surely an accurate test whichever way, especially on a FRER. I was half tempted to try on Saturday as I'm out in the evening but I think 9DPO could be too soon? I read on Google that 85% of women will implant on 8-10 DPO, and it takes on average 48 hours for trace HCG to show up on a very sensitive test so if we assumed we inplant on 9DPO then 11DPO would be the soonest anything would show on a test, which is why I'm hoping to test 12/13DPO. I think the earliest you can implant is 6DPO meaning a faint positive on 8DPO but I think that's a crazy small chance- like 6%.

Quite clearly I have nothing to do at work apart from Google!

@LilPearl DH too thinks I'm crazy with the symptom spotting, if it were their bodies I'm sure they would do the same 🙃

@Alexandra1993 Ooh, possible sign perhaps, shame it's an uncomfortable one!

Alexandra1993 · 12/12/2023 11:36

@LilPearl @therealpatmustard

would you ladies be interested in maybe a WhatsApp group where we can keep updated and support eachother? We’re at very similar times in our journey and may really help! I find posting on here quite timely! If not happy to stay on here x

Alexandra1993 · 12/12/2023 11:39

Just realised I posted the same thing twice oops lol

Dixon0389 · 12/12/2023 11:55

Hi ladies please can I join the thread we are TTC baby 3 and I'm currently in the tww testing the 22nd

CPHB2021 · 12/12/2023 12:08

Hoping I can join! I'm 11dpo today, testing BFN and I think I'm out as I've always shown earlier than this with my four other pregnancies ( only have 2 DC ) I'm not sure I have the energy to keep trying but let's see! It's so exhausting and puts so much pressure on me and DH! Xx

This is very interesting. Hopefully I have only just implanted! I will test again tonight but this mornings was stark white! X

therealpatmustard · 12/12/2023 12:14

Hi @Dixon0389 I'm due the 21st so hopefully testing a similar time, how many DPO are you?

@CPHB2021 I think 11DPO is a tad too soon, if you only implanted yesterday there isn't enough time for HCG to build up.

Probably! I think it's so hard not to compare as I tested positive at 9 and 10 dpo in my last two pregnancies xx
