Since I'm out for this month... Best chance to try again in a few weeks

Thought we could start a new chat for everyone who could potentially get their bfp in December or try again

Wow you lot doing it everyday 😂 Im lucky if I can stay up past 9 - i better up my game haha

I (and DH!) definitely can’t manage every day of the cycle! We are planning every other day of the cycle next month (when AF finally appears!) and probably a bit extra if/when I get a positive OPK. But not sure if we have the stamina 🤣 we don’t have any children yet though so imagine that helps!!

Sorry btw I have no idea why it keeps switching between 2 different usernames for me 🤣

OK.. I'm going to admit this & judge if you like, I've so far gotten pregnant twice with this method.. We don't DTD every day
We use a Home insemination kit 🙈 that way it takes the pressure off him, as well as not having to be at it constantly as our DD, life, work & everything is constant 🤣🤷‍♀️

@LuceNumberTwo no judgement here. I would not be going everyday 😂 but I did think that once sperm hits the air it doesnt survive! Im guessing thats not true haha

But its not left out long, pretty much straight away! I know so many other ladies do it, its a bit taboo but there's actually a thread about it on here x

No peak today. Line is definitely gradually getting darker but I'm cycle day 16 today.

My DH suggested home insemination too. He struggles sometimes with the pressure. I might try if I'm unsuccessful after Christmas.

AF is kicking my arse at the moment. Back to back 12 hour shifts and heavy bleeding don't mix well. I've also worked out that if I ovulate when I usually do then smack in the middle of my night shifts and DH is on days so we literally see each other for 5 minutes when handing ds1 over in the car park. Let's hope i ovulate a few days later this month!

@LuceNumberTwo I might sound silly here but how do you actually do home insemination 🙈 he finishes then using insemination kit? I’m totally open to any way main goal is to get pregnant no matter how you do it 😂

@H938 @Saffie920 we’re not an every day DTD either! I dunno how people do it 😂 maybe if I was still early 20s but now 33 with a 2yr old, full time job and no sleep we just about manage a few time over the fertile window 🤣 but that’s another reason I’ve started using OPK just to try time it. With our first we only DTD twice!
@H938 if you’re starting your fertile window today and want to try OPK I’ll pick up some from boots/Amazon next day now’s the time to try! Are you BTB as well?

Haha! This is my thoughts exactly.. Does the job!!
So yeah, I bought a kit of amazon.. I'll link it, & just follow the instructions, the kit comes with everything sterile - wee pots, long syringes, gel stuff which is meant to be good for his swimmers to swim..🤣 etc! & it gives you a step by step guide. To be fair it really takes alot of pressure of, it's made our sex life so much better, I feel 'trying' can become mechanical after a while... So having this time out makes it better lol. In my opinion! Xx

@LuceNumberTwo we use home artificial insemination - my boyfriend struggles to finish from sex so it means we actually have a chance! Got pregnant that way in July (sadly miscarried) now onto month 4 of doing it again!

Thought id update on my tests- I know my times are so early but i get up and wee about 3 times a night (my 2nd doesnt sleep through!!) so I dont think it counts as FMU. Today says fertile window so I will just start from now lol. Don’t know if I can go everyday haha…. After a week he will be wondering why its all stopped 🤣🤣🤣

@H938 great looking lines!! Your surge is definitely coming - I always do two a day so am/pm, but yes time to do the business 🤣🤣 I'd say just go as & when you can! I've been watching alot of videos etc, alot of fetility drs say atleast 3x during the week of your peak as his swimmers can last for upto 5 days in your body.. I mean obviously people do more for a better chance. But hey I'm sure ladies have gotten pregnant with way way less 🤣🙈
I've not tested yet. But I feel like the tests so far have all been the same darkness 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ got my appointment today. So ready for some advice/help! 🤞

@moosey89 Ahh great to see I'm not alone here with it 🤣 my partner is the same, it's just alot of pressure, unless it's just random sex which is more what it's like now 🙈

These are my ovulation tests, starting Monday morning/afternoon.. then Tuesday.. the bottom being this morning!!
Why are they all the same.. Like premom is still saying they are low but they aren't usually like this for me🙈
I'll show you my last ones I logged on the app - they start faint then I obviously get my peak!

@LuceNumberTwo maybe you ovulate sooner than you thought?? Keep dtd from now til they go faint again 🤣 cant do any harm can it. Last thing you want to do is miss the window!! X

Hello everyone, okay AF finally arrived yesterday so I am CD2! Initially I thought AF was 1 day early but it was just first ever time spotting (naturally my head went to implantation bleeding and I was quietly excited but nope! Also I read a post on Reddit about how implantation bleeding is actually a myth so there is that!).

@moosey89 @LuceNumberTwo we are definitely in the “lucky if we manage a few times over ovulation period” camp as well. In fact I think that’s a factor of last month being unsuccessful, looking back I believe I might have ovulated CD19 but our last DTD was CD16! This month our goal is to continue having sex for a few days after we think ovulation is - incase it’s later.

Also sending DP to get sperm analysed this month just to make sure we aren’t bothering for nothing and he’s actually firing blanks or has issues like a blocked vessel or something that can be fixed in time for next cycle. Hopefully everything is good and then we can just have that peace of mind at least.

80% of our couple friends who are trying are needing IVF so I’d rather check sooner than later. If it’s lifestyle related fertility issues then we obv have similar lifestyles to these friends so I am a wee bit concerned!

My only friends who have managed to get pregnant naturally both have DHs who are younger than them…
