Thought we could start a new chat for everyone who could potentially get their bfp in December or try again

I recommend trying to spice it up and not think of it as a chore
Whether it maybe my youth or just me but I tend to dtd every day/ other day more out of fun then schedule

Morning. Yeah me too especially with December being my birthday month it would be a lovely late birthday present and bonus christmas
As if I did conceive I would get my bfp about 10th December
Fingers crossed in the spirit of christmas

I have also a few stepchildren who would love the idea of a baby bro or sis👶 it does kill your spirits a bit... especially when you're late or have symptoms

So my period ended this morning, I thought I'll take an ovulation test see where I'm at.. Is this pretty dark.. WHAAAT? Took a digital, says I'm not ovulating.
Why is this so dark 🙄

@Sconehenge I've felt that's what happened with us this time, definetley need to get to it 🤣🤣
I mean I would try to do it every day/every other day but I'm sorry with either children & life in general the time is just not there 🙈

@LuceNumberTwo did you put it on the app? Im not sure on ovulation tests but i would say you should keep doing them maybe you ovulate earlier than you thought- I know I do now 🤦🏻‍♀️. Mine says my fertile window starts wednesday and ovulation is Sunday!! Ive started my ovulation tests now so I will soon found out! X

Yeah so the level is 0.63 LH according to the app - I know some say the ovulation sticks pick up on hcg but I've taken another pregnancy test & it's definitely negative.. I just don't understand it 🤦‍♀️ I'm going to just take it as possible early ovulation & get down to business 🤣🤣 x

I'm expecting my peak today, have dtd the last 3 days might do it again today or tomorrow also and fingers crossed that's enough. Then onto the tww.

@Willow89 Already on the TWW… not sure if its exciting or stressful 😂 I just wanted to ask if you do ovulation tests and how do you know when you are going to ovulate, im just starting this month but im not sure whats considered high/low or if it just shoots straight up when youre about to ovulate 🫣

So far dtd pretty much everyday lol, feeling good
Taking my vitamins and doing a moderate amount of exercise here's hoping

@H938 the way I understand it.. if the second line (on the left side) is faint that's negative- if its as dark as or darker than the control line (right hand line) then that's your peak - I bought a clearblue digital that you get a smiley on for your 2 day peak, are you using any apps? Show me what days its showing your ovulation? We usually start DTD right after my period & for the week after ovulation too
Ill put a picture up hope it makes sense- red is when my LH will rise (& after ovulation) purple will be my peak

@H938 ive just started using OPK the past 2 months and from what I’ve read on here I think everyone can be different but Ive found as they got darker I did 3 tests a day to make sure I ‘caught’ the peak cause I know if just doing 1 a day you could miss it.

i BBT so I know my fertile window so I start doing 1 a day then I tend to see mine get a tiny bit darker each day once I’m close to peak day I do 3 a day and I managed to get positive OPK the past couple of months 😊

I’ve attached photo just so you can see mine from Oct. I know some people can just peak a lot quicker but mine tends to be gradual

@H938 it can be a bit confusing, I'm only on my 2nd cycle and using the Flo app to track. Last month I used cheap ovulation strips everyday after my period. You're not supposed to use FMU usually the 2nd pee of the day. Once your test line is as dark or darker than the control you will usually ovulate in the next 24-48hours.
You can also get the clear blue ovulation that give you a smiley face on your peak but they are quite expensive. I got the strips on Amazon, loads for about 10£.

@Willow89 I'm the same with the digital 🤣🤣 I have to see it in black & white! I'd say its well worth it though, I've fallen twice using them

Hey everyone, I’m so confused. I’m on CD32 and still no AF 😭 my cycles over the last six months have all been either 27 or 29 days, and I’ve only once in the last 18 months recorded a cycle as long as this (never linger). I tested with a Boots early response yesterday and it was negative. Do you think I’m 100% out for this month or is there still a chance I ovulated late (I didn’t track it)? I haven’t had many symptoms except light cramping for about 5-6 days and headaches at the weekend. Wish AF would just turn up, so fed up of the limbo 😔

I will put what my app says below - I will try this month just doing these tests and basically DTD as much as I can 🤣🤣 so mine says my fertile window starts tomorrow but who knows! I didnt even realise that I had 26 day cycles until I came on this month which I thought was early - turns out it wasnt, which means in Nov I probably completely missed ovulation 🤣🤣🫣 im learning haha!! X

Came off the threads for few months...still no luck...going to join the December one...keeping finger crossed...

@Saffycat92 thats really odd!! I would think it would show up on a test if you was late but you never know. Maybe you ovulated later and its still in progress?? What day did you think you ovulated x

@H938 well I'd say let the baby dancing commence!!! I'd go as far as to go every day/other day up until the 3rd/4th December... But that's just me & my desperation to get pregnant haha!

@Saffycat92 Aww no, that's odd! It could be late ovulation but I'd have thought you would have seen even a faint line by now. Our bodies like to trick us I'm sure, in November I'm pretty sure about 3 (myself included) ladies got AF around 5 days early🤦‍♀️ it's like your body knows your waiting for it! Hope something happens for you soon 🤞💖

Thanks for your replies @H938 and @LuceNumberTwo i know, rationally I just really don’t think I can be pregnant but then it’s so strange that it hasn’t arrived. I had a couple of twinges more near my ovaries today (so not my usual period pain) but literally nothing else. I’m really not sure when I ovulated. We DTD from CD8 to CD17 and just missed one day in that time. I didn’t have my usual ovulation pain this month which I usually use to tell by. I’ll just keep holding tight but it’s so rubbish. I’ve bought ovulation strips and pre-seed and everything for next month so I just want AF to arrive so I can move on!! I’ve never been pregnant before so I really just don’t know what ‘normal’ might be like for me

Did you track ovulation this cycle? Early tests tend be a bit more sensitive to hCG so I would suspect a late AF that far along the cycle.

Late AF probably more frustrating than early ones conversely

I'm playing it cool by not tracking ovulation dtbd everyday (may have one day off here or there if really needed) but I believe this will be a big help as I'm being consistent anyway.

So regardless of when I ovulate there should be spare sperm floating. 🤣

I know sadly this isn't possible for everyone but I'd recommend this approach if you have opportunity
