Since I'm out for this month... Best chance to try again in a few weeks

Thought we could start a new chat for everyone who could potentially get their bfp in December or try again

@bobbles4091 Eeeeek! Congratulations 💖🥰🥰🎉 Wishing you a healthy happy pregnancy 🤞🤞

@H938 I'm sorry to hear that sweet, if your going to try again for Jan there's a thread open there, but if not keep us updated with how you are 💖 I had held out hope that maybe you were x

@Saffie920 good luck for testing! Keep us updated 🤞🤞

I've the period from hell, really clotty & heavy now, just hoping it slows for.tomorrow! I've got the polar express with DD first😆😆
Just bought the ovulation gear & pre seed.. Reading up it looks like it's worked for a good few, who knows! But why not!

Good luck to anyone else still in the TWW 🤞🤞💖

Saffie920 · 15/12/2023 16:06

Sorry to hear that @H938 sending you lots of luck for next month

I have been having some light cramps today and so I caved and tested with mid afternoon wee when 9dpo which was all a bit silly really. It was obvs BFN though I did the thing where you twist it in different lights and could see a shadow (why am I torturing myself?!?)

Really should have just held out until Sunday as planned, but I still have some hope - it wasn't FMU and still v early so keeping fingers crossed

bobbles4091 · 15/12/2023 16:23

@H938 sorry this hasn't been your month lovely. Everything crossed for January. I hope you enjoy all the festive drinks!

@LuceNumberTwo ah thank you 🙏🏻 clotty periods are the worst. Hope it's short lived!

@Saffie920 I also had a BFN on 9DPO which left me feeling really deflated. I know some people test positive that early but most things I've read say it's unlikely.
Sending all the positive test vibes for Sunday 🥰

Saffie920 · 15/12/2023 16:59

Thanks @bobbles4091 🙏 I know, I'm mainly annoyed with myself for testing, after I'd told myself I would wait! At least it was just a cheapy easy@home one though 👍

H938 · 15/12/2023 18:36

@LuceNumberTwo ohhh the worst!! The good thing is they dont last long then ovulation time comes quickly!! No doubt will be in the Jan group Xx

@Saffie920 its soo early so dont let it get you down Xx

@bobbles4091 thank you! Xx

maybemumtobe · 15/12/2023 21:19

Hi everyone

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in. What do you think of this test I did this morn? Think I’m around 11dpo. It was an early detection test.

By the time I got home from work the line had gone!

I see a line anyways...when you due period...
Retest due date...anytime I did a test and was negative I never had any confusion....I don't think that's negative....

Pupsandturtles · 16/12/2023 01:05

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if it’s worrying that I’ve had 2 chemicals in a row? Or is it all part of the process? 2/4 cycles have been chemicals.

Saffie920 · 16/12/2023 08:46

Hello ladies - what do you think? I'm about 9/10dpo and I think this might be a line? It's very faint but I think it has some pink-ish colour in person. Came up after 3 mins

Saffie920 · 16/12/2023 08:47

Sorry here is the photo!

I think that's a faint line!!
What sensitivity is the test? 10 or 25? If 25 I reckon if you did a 10 one then it would be more definitive!
Such a great sign so early on!!!

Saffie920 · 16/12/2023 08:55

Thank you @bobbles4091 ! It is quite clear albeit faint in real life. Im not sure about the sensitivity of the test (and im away for the night so I don't have the packaging with me) but it was an easy@home cheapy, the ones that come with the ovulation tests. I'll try and buy a better test today!

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if it’s worrying that I’ve had 2 chemicals in a row? Or is it all part of the process? 2/4 cycles have been chemicals.

I'm sorry you've been through this. I think it's hard to say @Pupsandturtles but I'd be thinking it's probably just bad luck. I read that a lot of people don't actually know they've had a chemical, but obviously if you're trying and tracking then we find out earlier. I very much hope this doesn't happen to you again, but if it does I'd say 3 is definitely enough to speak to your GP or a fertility specialist for some advice.
I hope it's okay for me to ask, but was it bleeding that first informed you about the chemicals or did you notice your HcG levels not rising? I ask because I'm 14DPO (which I appreciate is v early), but my pregnancy is only showing on the very sensitive early detection tests. On the cheapies I have no line whatsoever. I know I need to give it more time and check again in a few days, but just trying to prepare myself in case it hasn't worked.

Ah yes I think they're 10, in a pack of 10 with the pink writing and a baby on the front?
Enjoy your weekend away, and congratulations too!! @Saffie920 !!!! 🥳

Wow @maybemumtobe ! Yes our tests look v similar - tentative congratulations to you!

Pupsandturtles · 16/12/2023 12:50

@bobbles4091 i never tested positive on a regular test, even when my period was 5 days late. Only the early detection ones. This month my early tests went positive around 11dpo and are now negative. Period is 1 day late.

I spoke to a fertility specialist who was very flippant about chemicals, but it hasn’t helped me stop worrying that something is wrong.

maybemumtobe · 16/12/2023 13:03

Thanks! Keeping everything crossed for us both!

wanderlustre · 16/12/2023 14:23

Anyone else's Premom app losing the plot? Mine is saying my period is late despite it only being CD22 for me. I'm always a 25 or 26 day cycle but the last cycle or so Premom has been jumping the gun and deciding I'm actually a 21 day cycle person. I've beenentering my cycle data since starting to try for a baby in August 2022 so you'd think it would be getting more accurate not worse!

I also use Flo and that's pretty bob on but I like the BBT/OPK graphs on Premom.

Thank you for sharing that with me.
I think it's unreasonable for the fertility specialist to have been flippant with you as your concerns are absolutely valid. I like to feel in control so I think if it were me I might try another specialist, or perhaps use something online like Hertility, just for reassurance. If there's a simple solution, for example taking some extra progesterone or something (that's a wild guess), then it would be good to know. I think sometimes healthcare professionals underestimate the mental toll trying for a baby takes on women when one cycle feels like a lifetime. Sending love to you anyway ❤️

H938 · 16/12/2023 19:06

@Saffie920 Congratulations!! Deffo a line xx
