Had GP yesterday. She has said that the fact my period is back is good, and that the fact is lighter is very common after pregnancy or miscarriage. She also said that pain could just be hormones settling as that can take a few months. She however recognised my anxiety and has referred me for an ultrasound scan, though said this was more for peace of mind than anything else. She said I should get an appointment within the month.

VixFromThe6ix · 08/11/2023 23:03

@SnookyPook @FigandHoney @Cressie2 thank you for asking, ladies ❤️ yes, all went well today. They could no longer see the twin sack and this little bean is measuring well and heartbeat was strong. It makes me feel so much better as I've been stressed about it. And knowing that me feeling like crap last 4 weeks is for a reason makes me feel a bit better.
Fertility doctor officially released me as a client today and I'll now be under the care of obgyn that works at the hospital I'll be delivering at. (Hopefully)
That's my update.

I am sending everyone some of my baby dust. I can't wait to see more BFPs here.

Amazing news @VixFromThe6ix 🤍 I hope you start to feel better soon though!

Hope everyone else is doing ok, have had a quiet few weeks offline trying to take the pressure off, but thinking of everyone x

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 07:19

@VixFromThe6ix I am so happy the ultrasound went well!! I hope you feel better soon too

@Khanga27 sounds like your GP reassured you and it's good they offered you an ultrasound. How do you feel now?

So I used an opk again and it was positive again. So I cracked and did an HCG test. And I think I got a BFP. It's still early days. I think I am 10dpo. So I am very aware all sort could happen. And this could end in a VP.
But I am tentatively excited!

@FigandHoney oh wonderful!! Everything crossed for you!

@VixFromThe6ix lovely update - so glad your little bean is doing well. Must be a nice feeling to officially graduate from the fertility docs too! Really hope all keeps progressing well for you 🙏🏻

I've stopped bleeding. 😌 Feeling... Meh. Hoping my referral to fertility comes through soon. Feeling in a bit of limbo right now. Some sad moments, but surprisingly mostly doing ok at picking myself up and trying to move forwards.

Hugs to all. X

SnookyPook · 09/11/2023 12:10

@worldwidetravel2017 any news on your CT scan yet? Been thinking of you. X

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/11/2023 12:36

Omg @FigandHoney amazing!!! So all that dtd was worth it then !! Congratulations xx

also lovely to hear your update @VixFromThe6ix such positive news, I’m happy for you xx

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 12:57

Thank you @Angelsrose @VixFromThe6ix @CurlyWurly1991 @SnookyPook . Hopefully it's a sticky bean.
Never been in the situation were I got a BFP before af was due. So terrified she will come and snatch my bean away.

@CurlyWurly1991 Yes maybe doing SMEP worked. Although I would not be able to do it every month. We also used some preseed on the days we're I was drier. And then I followed @worldwidetravel2017 advice and upped my b vitamins and vitamin D.

Hoping to spread some baby dust. Hopefully this is the start of loads of BFPs

@SnookyPook you are holding up so well. Do you get to try this cycle

@worldwidetravel2017 have you had any results yet? Hope you are doing ok

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 12:58

I only did kne test. So now I have this crazy thought in my head that if I do another test it will be negative. That something weird happened with the first. Argh

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/11/2023 13:07

Big congrats to @FigandHoney

Glad alls well @VixFromThe6ix

Been thinking of you @SnookyPook

Thanks 4 asking guys re scan

Rang medical secretaries @ start of week - was told they are taking longer to be reported - told to ring bk end of week

  • will ring tomorrow re abdomen ct scan results linked to abnornal ca125..

[ theyve ruled out gynae cancers - ruled out bowel cancer & ruled out stomach cancer ]

They dunno why my ca125 is so elevated / abnornal
It can also be in breast cancer - theres no lumps

But where i put weight on after glandular fever & now cfs diagnosis..

If - if scan results show nothing re andomen ct scan - i may ask what their plan is or / and if anyone is guna check my boobs

  • spoke to others on mumsnet who had bowel polyps like me ( theyve been removed in colonoscopy) & then abnormal ca125 too - some of them had breast cancer

Period ending so supposedly trying to concieve soon given had to avoid any chance of oct conception due to abdomen ct scan
& early miscarriage = sept

Would love nothing more than to be a mum

Worked all over the world nannying - - caring 4 others children etc

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 13:44

Oh @worldwidetravel2017 I am so sorry they are dragging with getting you your results and a definitive answer.
You must be feeling so anxious. But it's good they ruled out a few types of cancer. And hopefully they won't find anything.
You so deserve to be a mum. It is so painful when it doesn't happen.
I hope you get the results soon, that they give you the all clear and that you can move ahead ttc.

Cressie2 · 09/11/2023 14:33

@FigandHoney I’m so happy for you!! That’s a strong HCG result and at 10DPO I think think is a very very good sign. Such good news 💥💕

@worldwidetravel2017 that sounds very reassuring that they’ve ruled out the big cancer scares and it sounds like the doctors are being very thorough. Lots of other issues can cause elevated ca125. Hopefully you’ll get your results soon and hope you’re doing ok.

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 15:06

Aww. Thanks @Cressie2 for your reassuring and kind words

Catson · 09/11/2023 17:37

Congratulations @FigandHoney
Pleased all went well @VixFromThe6ix
Hope you both start to make progress with health professionals soon @SnookyPook @worldwidetravel2017

SnookyPook · 09/11/2023 18:33

@worldwidetravel2017 hope they don't keep you waiting too much longer.

@FigandHoney I've never tested before AF either but if it's any comfort, that line you got above is already stronger than the one that I got for my CP. 💕 RE trying, I think it's the old, they recommend waiting a full cycle etc etc... tbh at this point, I think I need a month off for my own wellbeing, although part of me would love to press on. But I've also conceived three times this year, including twice in the last 4 months so that doesn't seem to be the problem really.. which makes me think there could be a benefit to waiting and seeing what the fertility consultant says before risking another positive that might not stick. Bit frustrating... I'm both impatient and scared... Good combo! So planning to take a pause this month and then see...

FigandHoney · 09/11/2023 19:44

Thank you @Catson

I am sorry @SnookyPook . Feel like a bit of an idiot having asked you that. Think you already mentioned you were going to take a break. And that makes so much sense. I hope I didn't bring up bad emotions by asking xx

SnookyPook · 09/11/2023 20:01

@FigandHoney aw no don't worry. It's nothing that I've not been mulling over anyway 💕

Bumblebee413 · 09/11/2023 20:27

Oh @FigandHoney!! Congratulations! What a lovely line 🥰

I’m so pleased that was a reassuring scan for you @VixFromThe6ix and so nice to see your little bean growing and having that end to the fertility aspect!

@worldwidetravel2017 I’m glad that they’re being thorough but I’m so sorry to hear what a worrying time it is for you.

@SnookyPook I’m glad that the bleeding has stopped for you. I’d imagine it a bit of a relief knowing that’s a stage complete, but also with plenty of other emotions thrown in for good measure.

Welcome back @H0pefull and well done for doing the right thing for you. X

My update is that one of my central heating pipes just burst, minutes after I’d put my toddler to bed thank goodness. I live in a project of a house, so luckily the floorboards weren’t screwed down from the last time it happened. I just now have a pretty soggy kitchen and floorboards everywhere in my bedroom 😂 Why it couldn’t have waited 48 hours for DH to be home I’ll never know… !!

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/11/2023 07:10

omg @Bumblebee413 nightmare!! I guess you won’t have water this morning if you’ve had to turn it off? Hope it’s sorted soon. Been there and it was a pain.

@worldwidetravel2017 sorry to hear about the delay on your result. That really doesn’t help during an anxious wait.

CD6 here, knackering week. I have just finished af and always feel drained at this time, I guess it’s due to the iron deficiency which I am in the process of sorting.
husbands sperm analysis was all in normal range so that’s a relief. Will start OPKs in a few days.

Bumblebee413 · 10/11/2023 19:16

All sorted. I thought it was all sorted when I posted last night, but there was a second gush of water through the ki

Bumblebee413 · 10/11/2023 19:22

Tchen ceiling, just as and as the first so then I figured out how to drain the central heating and did that rather than it do that sporadically throughout the night. We had no water or heating this morning, but luckily a friend brought his neighbour over who is a plumber. So grateful.

Just waiting to hear if my DH is on a train. He missed too earlier as there was a security scare. I think if he misses this one he won’t catch his flight tomorrow. He will arrive home eventually one way or another. We’ve managed a year, so we can manage a few more hours/ days if we have to.

I think we might be cycle buddies this time @CurlyWurly1991. I’m CD 4. Going to OPK it this time, but the two times I’ve done it before, I’ve ovulated on day 19 and usually have 33/35 day cycles. Hope that you’re feeling so much better soon. Have you tried spatone? I found it really helped me bounce back quickly when I’ve had low iron before x

Bumblebee413 · 10/11/2023 19:23

I would like to apologise for multiple confusing spelling mistakes in the two previous posts 😂

Mrsspoon3 · 10/11/2023 19:31
